Very beautiful place to visit ... there are total 12 temples here around the structure called Lakshman Mandir also called as Vaishno Mandir group or Vaishno Temple group .. ranging between 11th century to 19th century .. these structures are are very much similar to the structures of jageshwar temples Almora Uttarakhand... there are many temples in all over India but you will rarely find temple of Lord Lakshman brother of Lord Ram so it will be a gift for everyone who visits this place... Lakshman temple is in deval village of Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand .. you can reach Kotdwar station by train and from Kotdwar you can take taxi or Jeep /Bolero or your personal vehicle to reach this place... from Pauri district this place is at half an hour distance ..

Deval village is in a big valley about 15 km from Pauri tehsil. Here is the ancient Laxman temple which is also called Vaishnava temple. This is a small group of 12 large temples. Laxman and Sita are worshiped locally, perhaps because this name of this region is also called Sitasuunu. Vastu of these temples resembles Kedarnath and Bageshwar temples.Some temples are believed to be made of 12th and 13th and some 18th or 19th century. According to the locals, temples were built only after the arrival of Adi Shankara, so they all resemble.The temples remain open and there is no ticket to see. There is no guide too. Priests can give limited information.
