Pretty hyped tourist place because of film shoot. No proper arrangements of vehicle , road etc. Expensive boats, too many film and song shoots done like shadi me zaroor aana , omkara etc. And songs.

The structure is from Buddha era as the idol inside looks much like scriptures of Gautam Sidharth ..... On the dome of the structure aayat (in urdu) is also inscribed.....currently worshipped as Shiva temple.... The structure has very high importance as it is situated in the middle of river Yamuna over a mini island like formation.......best time to visit in morning and evening in summers.... Lucky one can also spot peacocks during morning and evening.

The places serendipity touches your soul ,u can feel the adreline rush through in your veins ,most importantly this temple have lots of monkey and langurs which increases the beautifulness of this place, when we visited there this place was not at all crowded but in the the of rains the river water overflows on the road making us to take boat to visit temple.

It is located on the bank of Yamuna river about 3 km west from Ghoorpur. There is a temple of Shankar and Yamuna, the sister of Yam, built in the river.Bhita is located just 18km from Allahabad, and is an ancient site on the banks of Yamuna where Lord Buddha penanced and gave sermons to his followers... This ancient site also had a fortified city of Skandgupta, named Vichchigram, which dates back to the Mauryan and Gupta period. The ruins of this fortified city exist even today and have been kept under control by the Archaeological Survey of India. The ancient temple of Sujawan Devta (a shiva temple) is also located here..
