This is definitely hands down my favorite ramen place so far! I have been here several times, and the quality/ingredients are always on point. They took good precautions during Covid as well, which was nice to see. Our favorites are the duck, chashu, and spicy chicken.Updated to add photos! Still a frequent favorite.
We went looking for a place to eat rather late and lucked up on this place. I had heard this was THE ramen place and it did not disappoint. The service was absolutely stellar!! Highly, highly recommended!! One friend had the pork belly buns, another had the hangar steak, and I had the veggie ramen. The cocktails were also good.
I can see why its worth the wait. The mixed drinks are creative and the Ramen is so good. The best Ive had in town. I honestly thought this place might have been overrated due to the hip demographic that frequent here and the unmarked restaurant but Im happy to say that this was worth the experience and delicious food. A bit pricey, but worth it.
I come here on a weekly basis even though I live 30+ min from here. The food is absolutely amazing! Please make this a stop for you one day. If youre not too big into ramen they have a good selection of other items that will fully satisfy all of your hunger needs! Oh and did I mention the cocktails?!
I came to Denver for vacation with the plan to eat only ramen. I’d consider myself a connoisseur and the first place I tried was Uncle. The bar is set very high for everywhere else I go. Got the Chashu. Rich, deep, and authentic.
Uncle has been on our list for 2.5 years, since we moved to Denver from NYC. We were so happy to see it finally opened back up for dine in. It was 100% worth the wait.We started with the broccolini that was grilled with coconut cream, lemon grass and topped with fried shallots. Easily could have had two more plates. The flavors complimented each other so well and we couldn’t get enough. Only downside was the plate wasn’t big enough! So delicious. For ramen, we tried the classic chashu and the spicy chicken ramen. Both were excellent. The eggs were perfectly poached and even allowing to sit in the broth for a while, still was nice and yolky. I typically could care less for chicken and focus on the broth but the chicken was SO SO flavorful. Not dry in the least bit, full of flavor, tasted like it may have been smoked. The chashu ramen pork belly fell apart in your mouth. For New Yorkers whose ramen bar is set with places like Totto Ramen or Momofuku, we would def say that Uncle is pretty close up there with them. We def now have our ramen fix in Denver and are already planning our next meal at Uncle.
So much good food. The buns were amazing (both pork belly and soft shell crab). Had the Pork Ramen and it was just satisfying comfort food which made my belly warm, my heart smile, and my senses go into overload. Lastly, had this salmon sashimi with some greens, it was delicious but I dont remember the menu name.
What a cool spot! It certainly gets occupied in there however in case youre all alone, youll be situated snappier. I got the duck ramen which was delicious! The egg was a decent touch, and I adored the Apple. The noodles were quite chewy and the stock was delicious. As a canapé, the delicate shell crab buns were staggering also! The sauce in the bun was wonderful and the crab was simply entirely arranged. I would rate this as a spot you need to attempt regardless of whether youre not around for long! You should try here!
Outstanding dinner experience, all of the flavors are balanced perfectly. Service was perfect and the cocktails are fun. Highly recommend. Only downside is the acoustics, its LOUD and made dinner conversation a bit of a challenge. Will definitely return when Im through Denver next.
Man I really wanted to try this place but unfortunately I couldn’t even make it to a table! The hostess was extremely rude and unprofessional and that was enough for me to leave just as fast as I arrived. Please train your employees to be more professional and polite. If you want to be disrespected before you even sit down then this is the place for you!
What can be better hot ramen when it’s chill outside? Went there for dinner and had great time. The eggplant buns were tasty, so soft and fluffy seemed like I was holding little clouds hahah. Ramen was good and portions were big that I had to take leftovers home. They have only outdoor seating and we were very pleased to get a notification about our reservation with suggestion not to forget warm jackets because it’s cold outside. So thoughtful.
The absolute best service we have ever had. Isaac the cook is amazing, I wish I could remember everyone else’s names. Great food, great vibe, 10/10.
Best restaurant in Denver hands down, must go.
Absolutely delicious. Get there super early as there is a line every single time we’ve been there. The place is pretty small and they are only open for 5 hours so it busy all the time. Food is amazing and the service is great as well. Giving them 4 stars as their wait list is not very good. We waited for at least 30 minutes and could track our progress online. We were moving up on the line and all of a sudden we were bumped down again to our same position from 30 minutes ago. When we asked why was that they said it was because some of the people they had called before us where just showing up. So instead of waiting a few minutes for people to show up and then subsequently removing their spots for not being there in time, the kept on removing and then adding them back on which just made the wait so much longer. That’s it that’s my only complain, other than that great food, great atmosphere and great service by all servers.
The wait to get in was about 30 minutes. The place was pretty busy so everything took a long time. I was on a date with my boyfriend so the waiting didnt feel bad at all. The food was delicious though. Other thing worth noting is that the atmosphere was very noisy. Kinda not the most romantic but was interesting and plenty to look at and stuff going on everywhere.Second visit wasnt that great. The noise was so loud that I couldnt hear my boyfriend or the waitress. Good service and food, but Id pass unless the point is to not talk with the people youre with. Minus two stars cause being able to enjoy the company I am with is as important as the food.
We were staying in the LoHi neighborhood on vacation and went wandering in search of dinner one night. We stumbled on Uncle and had the most delicious ramen for dinner. The serving size was huge, we had enough to bring back to the place we were staying and snack on it the next day.We sat at the bar/kitchen and got to watch all the live action cooking. The staff went above and beyond to fill our drinks promptly and service was top notch. It was a great meal.
The best ramen place in Denver! Delicious broth and flavors, and the noodles were fresh. The buns were also phenomenal! Love the open kitchen concept so you can see the food made fresh right in front of your eyes. Its a small intimate place and gets really busy, but the wait wasnt too bad. We were quoted 20-30 minutes and got seated within 5 minutes. Definitely recommend!
Best ramen place in Denver, and probably one of the top 10 restaurants in Denver. They have a small menu but the entire menu is amazing. The bao buns are perfectly steamed and absolutely worth it for a starter. They do rotate their menu a decent amount, highly recommend the Khao Soi if it’s on the menu. It’s a small space so there can often be a wait; recommend sitting at the bar as it is always enjoyable to watch the cooks at work.
A stellar set of small plate appetizers: small tofu pieces that had about three ingredients and were married into a finely balanced complex taste (the excellent tofu didn’t hurt of course). A curried crab was solid. Various ramen and cold noodle bowls were solid specimens of the art. But the star of this show were the buns. Pork belly, fried Japanese eggplant, shrimp, and soft shell crab were all religious experiences. The only downside is that it is very loud inside.
Love love love! Best Ramen I have had. I like the way the set up their outdoor patio. The music was too loud, but other than that the ambiance was upbeat and vibrant. We will definitely be back.
The food was excellent. The chimichurri hangar steak pairs very well with the kimchi potatoes. Make sure you ask for the brown sauce for the potatoes. Would 100% recommend to a friend. The duck ramen was also superb. Nom nom nom
Best experience from beginning to end. Spicy cukes, kimchi, hanger steak, and all ramens + buns are top notch. Great atmosphere especially the bar where you can watch their well oiled line execute delicious dishes! Thanks front and back of house for a great dining experience!
What a cool place! It definitely gets busy in there but if youre on your own, youll be seated quicker.I got the duck ramen which was very tasty! The egg was a nice touch, and I loved the addition of the Apple. The noodles were nice and chewy and the broth was very tasty. As an appetizer, the soft shell crab buns were incredible as well! The sauce in the bun was awesome and the crab was just perfectly prepared.I would rate this as a place you have to try even if youre not in town for very long! Dont miss it!
Not recommend at all! Apparently people of color attending the restaurant is a rarity so prepared to be stared at, not greeted, not smiled at or serviced. Really upsetting and sick of places like this that are unwelcoming. The staff were huddled around and talked while I waited for my server or just a simple “hello, someone will be right with you”. I strongly advise you spend your time and money at another local restaurant where this type of behavior isn’t displayed.
Everything Ive ever had here has been great! The duck ramen is my favorite. Also the pork buns are a must!
The best ramen in Denver by far! Great vibe with super friendly service and absolutely excellent food. Everything on the menu is worth trying
My husband, 8 month daughter and I went to Uncle and got the spicy chicken ramen and the soft shell crab bun. Both were good but the soft shell crab bun was excellent! I would love to come back and try the other buns. The service was amazing. They accommodated our daughter and offered to bring her extra things. For example they gave us a tub of water with a lid and straw. They also offered a side bowl of noodles for her. I was really happy with how they treated us even though we took up a lot of space in the restaurant.most definitely would come back for both the food and the service.
Hands down, some of the best ramen I’ve had in years! Visiting for VACA & ate here 2x - well worth the 20 min wait. The environment is socially urban, & it was an absolute positive vibe. The pork buns were a different style for me, but not upset about it at all as it was quite delicious; would limit cucumber if you don’t like them too much.Staff was wonderful & a very true resemblance of the wonderful people of CO.Hope to revisit the ramen soon!🤍
This place came highly recommended, and I have to say I’m a little disappointed. Everything was pretty tasty and the setting was good for a date spot. It’s extremely expensive for what you get though. 2 pork buns for $10 and mediocre ramen for $15. (Get the eggplant buns if you decide to get any) They make you pay for any extra spices or chili oil or anything like that. There’s much better ramen located nearby for cheaper that gives bigger portions, has better broth, and gives you all the spices you want for no extra charge.Staff was nice and the food wasn’t bad per say, just not worth the price compared to other places nearby. It’s definitely so popular only because of the location and date spot vibes.
Native here speaking ♡ Ive been coming here for years and tn I loved my service more then ever! Paul seriously super educated! I couldnt thank him enough for me quizzing him on Sake selections!! If we can request someone to serve us best believe hes my go to ♡ Thank you for everything!!
Fantastic noodle house, with a fun ambience and bar seating that offers a great view into the kitchen and prep counter. Easy to see the chefs and staff put effort into their work. Solid cocktails and eats -- I got the kimchi potatoes, which were crisp and flavorful, and the veggie Khao soi which was rich and delicious. Would recommend!
Doing pick up delivery service for customers over the past two years the food has always smelled amazing! I decided to finally try it and was not disappointed. They also had some dishes without wheat and corn, being accommodating to my many food allergies.Thank you,
Great ramen bowls and buns. Was able to make a reservation for the front patio and enjoy the nice weather. The service was fantastic and we were even given a free crab bun on the house. Definitely worth a visit if you are into ramen.
Feels like a Denver version of Momofuku but it’s delicious. Would definitely come back.
This is the best place in ALL of Denver to get Ramen. Its an amazing restaurant. Things to know, it opens at 5 pm and as soon as they open there is a line. Also the seating is very limited. But the food is totally worth the wait. Im not a huge Ramen fan, but this place totally made me a fan. Give this place a try next time you decide to go out. Also parking is not great in this area so park a few blocks away to save yourself the trouble.
The reservation method is a bit awkward. We were instructed to go down an alley way on the side of the building, speak to the hostess, then she ended up seating us back in the front. Other than that; the food was so good and will definitely come back
Hands down the best ramen. Get the spicy chicken!
So good, so full it hurts, with so much goodness. Be prepared to wait though. Bring a friend, or something to keep yourself occupied. There is always a wait, but it is so worth it. We had the pork belly buns, which were delicious. Then my wife had the spicy pork ramen, which is intense, but not melt your face. It is a nice level of spicy. Then I had the duck ramen. That was excellent. I enjoyed it more between the two.
Food was flavorful but be prepared to wait(especially if you have a party more then 2). Must get theedamame-It was savory and had a little heatSoft shell crab bun-crispy and the meat tender with really flavorful sauceThe spicy chicken ramen was great as well! Broth had tons of flavor and Nice heat, not to overwhelming. Personally for me, it was not really ramen, more like noodles with a flavorul broth. But thats just my humble opinion and i still very much enjoyed itDef check this place out! Come early or be prepared to wait
One of the best restaurants in town. Their service is among the top in town. It’s not because they’re flawless, but when they’re wrong they bend over backwards to make it right. The staff is truly amazing at this location.
Blown away by your crab buns. Omfg. I even risked being severely judged when I took pictures of them because they were so unbelievably visually stimulating. I also loved your ramen so much, I made my dad and my boyfriend dump their leftover broth into my to-go container because I couldn’t accept the idea of having it thrown away. Uncle lives up to all the expectations and the hype.
My fiance and I ordered the duck ramen, spicy chicken ramen, and the soft shell crab buns. I truly dont understand the hype of this place or how it gets so many good reviews. The ramen was very bland. Soft shell crab buns were delicious and ramen noodles were cooked well, but I just dont think thats enough to make me return. Katsu ramen is much more flavorful.
Fantastic food, service, and atmosphere. Everything was delicious.
Wow, just wow. If you arrive early enough you might be able to skip a wait list even on a weekday. This place is mad packed daily, and for good reason. The pure extasy you get from eating here is out of this world. The ramen was bursting with crazy good flavours that left me with the worlds largest smile from start to finish. I ordered a spicy pork bowl and was blown away. The spicy umami bomb left me crying in joy. The perfectly crafted bun was also life changing. The soft shell crab bun with cilantro sauce is legendary.
Ive tried just about everything on their menu by now. Everything Ive had has yet to disappoint. Easily the best combination of taste, service, and atmosphere for ramen in the greater Denver area.
Everything here was pretty good, but not amazing—except the wait staff and the drinks (OMG), both of which were fabulous. I would absolutely dine here again, but I would not wait in the line out the door unless I was jonesing for their earl grey cocktail. They’re hot and new and tasty, but a touch overhyped on the ramen front. Still a good time overall, 4.5 stars!
Spicy chicken ramen is extremely flavorful--the broth is creamy and unlike anything Ive had before.
Fantastic! Great service. Amazing food. Will be going back again and again.
The ramens and buns were all delicious!
Best ramen Ive had in Denver so far, hands down. You really cant go wrong with any of the different kinds, and the appetizers are done just as well. The cocktails are phenomenal too, but will cost about the same as your ramen (definitely recommend the Smokeshow if you like whiskey, though).Be sure to get there before they open if you dont want to wait as theres usually a line. Also, note that you cant be seated until your entire party is present.
Amazing ramen, the best in Denver. Wu Tang themed cocktails that you cant go wrong with. Well worth the wait, if you want amazing ramen options in Denver thus should be your first and only stop on your list. Go with a large group and try everything that you can. I cant stop thinking about this place.
Elite ramen. Had counter seats and got to watch the kitchen do its thing. The food was outstanding -- the cold tofu appetizer and the curry ramen especially. Great spot in a fun location; as an out-of-towner, hard for me to believe there is a better place for ramen in Denver.
This place was awesome! Great pork buns and ramen
Came to celebrate my birthday and we had Maybelline as our server. She was fantastic!!! Its been a very long time since weve had such amazing customer service and she blew it out of the water. She really made my night/ birthday feel special. The food is as always, incredible, the drinks were amazing- honey foam?! Delicious!! Youll always be in my top 5 of favorite restaurants, EVER. Such a great evening thank you all!!!
We lined up at 4:50pm for Friday night dinner and Im glad we got there early to line up because we got in early whereas the rest of the time we were there there was a decent line and it was cold outside! The three stars is because of a number of issues, one being the ramen we ordered was just tepid, not piping hot. We tried the wagyu beef and pork belly appetizers, spicy chicken ramen, chashu ramen, and veggie ramen. The shoyu broth was not impressive, I wish it was a tonkatsu bone broth which would have a deeper, more rich flavor. My husbands ramen noodles were clumped and stuck together. The veggie ramen was really good though! The miso broth was spot on in terms of flavor, not too salty, slightly rich/creamy, and the noodles were perfectly firm for my bowl. For being a veggie ramen it was NOT lacking in flavor which often happens for vegan/veggie ramen. The only thing I would have liked added in the veggie ramen is corn! The other reason for the three stars is the eggs in all our ramen bowls were inconsistently cooked. Some were completely runny with even the whites not cooked through, some had the yolk slightly cooked, and mine was way too raw (white was semi translucent and yolk not cooked at all) so I gave it to my hubby who doesnt mind rawish eggs. I prefer traditional marinated ajitsuke tamago ramen egg. The chashu was good but would have been even better with a crisper skin.
My husband and I were visiting Denver and we heard this Ramen place was a MUST! When we arrived it looked packed.... We put our name on the waitlist and they said it would be approximately 1 hr and 30 minutes wait. We went to a bar down the street, and came back when they were ready for us.The wait was totally worth it! I know you probably see in the other reviews about the crab bun..... Oh. My. Gosh. Definitely recommend to try it! We also tried the Pork belly bun, and it was just as amazing! My husband got the Duck Ramen, and I got the Spicy Chicken Ramen. They were both REALLY good, but after trying his Duck Ramen, I know Ill probably get that one next time we decide to return ;)
Had an incredible date here. The food lived up to the hype and the atmosphere was perfect. I highly recommend Uncle. You will likely always be on a wait, but this neighborhood is filled with incredible craft cocktail bars. Put your name down, grab a few drinks in the area, and head back when you get that magical text ;)
My wife and I ate at Uncle when we were visiting Denver because we were in the mood for some Ramen. Uncle is in a good area, but was a little hard to find with no signs in the front. The seating is outside and very nice with a tent over you while you eat. Our waitress, Caitlin, greeted us right away and was very friendly. Uncle has a very good Sake offering, so we started with that. For appetizer, we got the soft shell crab buns and they were delicious. For our main courses, we duck ramen and the spicy chicken ramen. Both were delicious and probably some of the best meals we had on vacation. The prices were also very reasonable. Caitlin did a great job as our waitress and service was also awesome. Overall, I would defiantly recommend that anybody who likes ramen defiantly visit Uncle if theyre in Denver.
Cool vibe, very clean. They have a lot of traffic which is always good. Had the duck ramen with added fried tofu. The tofu was delicious and Im not even a big tofu person. The ramen was good yet too experimental for my taste with the added gala apple and the broth didnt stand out for me. Still very good and would go back.
So good. The ramen was delicious and the bao buns were too. I’ll be back
Sat on the front patio on a crisp fall day - our server Robert was extremely attentive and had great timing and suggestions. I had the cured fish dish as an appetizer, duck ramen and a Great Scott cocktail - all impeccably made and presented. Great flavor. And despite the pandemic with limited outdoor seating and a influx of to-go orders - it looks like dining-in is being handled very effectively. Very impressed!
Unreal food, Unreal service, Unreal taste. Blows Olive Garden out of the water... Not as if those things are related, but still. Fantastic in every regard. 4 out of 3 michelin stars.
Delicious! Had the kimchi ramen, pork belly steamed buns, and some craft beers, and I highly recommend all. The staff was very attentive across the board, and the place had a really cool, laid back vibe. Due to COVID safety, we ended up in the back alley, which for any other place would be trouble, but for Uncle, it somehow added to the experience. Hats off to great staff and a great local restaurant!
Ordered to-go, and even reheated at home the Ramen is mouth-watering delicious 😋😍
Outstanding service. Even better food
