I have vitiligo. It is a disease with white patches. I had one big one on my arm. I visited Dr Gupta last year after a lot on online research. I found that he is one of the few in Delhi who specialise in treatment of vitiligo. He explained me the procedure of melanocyte transplant in detail and it was done after 2 days at Excel Medical Centre. It was done under local anaesthesia and a skin was taken from my thigh and the arm area was scraped. A liquid preparation of pigmented cells was made and applied on the arm and bandaged. Bandage was removed after 7 days. Now after 6 months that area on my arm is 80 percent as normal as my skin tone. I am really grateful to Dr Gupta for this result.
