The Coronation Park with the eponymous iconic pillar and Raj-era statues in north west Delhi’s Burari area, where ‘New Delhi’ was born in 1911, is anything but visitor-friendly.The Coronation Pillar is a monumental obelisk as the third Delhi Durbar was held on this very site, where King George V and Queen Mary were coronated as the emperor and the empress of India on December 12, 1911, and the British monarch had also announced shifting the capital from Calcutta to Delhi.the marble-made grand statues stood stoically amid a mess created by the monsoon rains. To make matters worse, the public were banned entry , who cited “lodging of paramilitary personnel” on the premises as the site sits next to Burari grounds, both owned by DDA,
Delhi massively disappoints yet again, as the park is CLOSED! When will India ever get its avt together and do the most basic simple things?
Located off the ring road in north Delhi, Coronation Park is of great historical significance having been the spot where three Durbars took place, the most famous being the last one in 1911.At this spot, the shifting of the capital of India to Delhi was announced and numerous Indian royalty had come and stayed apart from the British establishment. There is no fee and parking is plentiful but its sad to see this vast green space being maintained by the use of sewage water, leading to formation of salt cakes all over the grass and a peculiar smell which hangs in the air.No name plates remain for the statues of various British Governor-Generals of India.
This is the one of the most clean and big park in North Delhi area. Best time to visit in the morning you can join any group for yoga or fitness activities they wont mind you in the group. Best ever park for walking ... running .....is have well management ........close evening 7 PM..... parking facility available.......it is located in open atmosphere.....
This place is quite good for jogging and running, every sport activity can be performed with ease as the park is very big.It has a lot of open space, and so youngsters can be seen skating, lying around, jogging and performing other activities.****Here other activities refers to time spent with their boyfriend, girlfriend. If you think only Central Park has such views you are wrong.... Coronation park has much more broader public performing much bigger activities without hesitation.
Its best palace for relaxing and streching your body as well as mind also.
Best place to recall the colonial history and to roam around.
This park is situated near Nirankari Want Samagam Ground. Although still in development, there are a lot of people in the morning. There is a ramp for cycling and for jogging. Greenery is all around.A lot of people workout there as it has an open Gym as well. Whenever it gets finished, it will be a gem of a park.
Peace. No disturb no one.।
Still not open for public due to covid. Wating for the day to get inside of the park.
This park could be nice, if it were maintained , the place gives an impression of desolation, disuse and neglect. The park is dusty and poorly maintained with unused Interpretation Centre due to lack of Water supply to the Park.In spite of poor maintained lots of people come for morning and evening walk. There are statues but there is no description and statues look damaged, and there is a memorial at the place of Delhi Durbar..It a bad case of our neglect of history and heritage, there are no maintenance..There are wide area where are many trees, here u can take beautiful pic and its good place for photography and walking..There are big space for parking, its free..Its a good place for love birds 😛😜
Good quality very Good staff menersh
Great historical, memorable, beautiful garden, best time to spend our weekends.

The park recaptures the history of new delhi... Durbar hall was set up there in 1911, announcing the shifting of capital from Calcutta to Delhi...the place is thus converted into a coronation (memorial) park..with the commemorative obelisk and statues of some famous faces of Britishers time...wonderful place to visit with friends and family.... (Not built completely)
Good place to spend your Sunday with your family. This park was the place were King Georges coronation ceremony was organised in 1911. The park is very big and you canvsee moderate crowd all time of the year. People use it as a picnic spot also on New years Eve. It has childrens play area also and you can enjoy doing kite flying here. It has an open auditorium kind of structure where some events happen.Although much care is not being taken care and you can see the lack of irrigation and ill maintenance.
Now it has good set up for the children. Well equipped..
Its popular because of its size and maintenance . And main thing is that it is a coronation memorial and Delhi durbar
Its a nice place but its kinda dirty. I wish they take care of place by not littering on this park.

This place is good for running, couple friendly, batchlor, old people
Area wise this is big and quality wise I can say ok ok because of maintenance and I visit here twice and saw some bad elements here teasing girls, boys are fighting, Open kissing going on here. So if you thinking to go here with your family then it’s bad idea 💡. Even I talk to The security guy and he said like it’s out of control if I say something to someone they might be beat me up and he suggest me to do the same like complain the same in the near police station and I did but they’re not taking any complaint they just like okay we’ll take care of this.So this place is good but Environment is not at all good in terms of safety and security.
Nice place for workout & get-together with friends..

This is the place from which King George Vth reinstated Delhi as the capital of India in 1911. His several statutes have been installed here and the space has been developed as recreational activities for kids. It also has a restaurant but not functioning presently. A good place for morning walk for nearby people.
Coronation Park is a park located on Burari Road near Nirankari Sarovar in Delhi, India. The park is sometimes referred to as the Coronation Memorial; it was the venue of the Delhi Durbar of 1877 when Queen Victoriawas proclaimed the Empress of India. Later it was used to celebrate the accession of King Edward VII in 1903, and, finally, it was here that the Durbar commemorating the coronation of King George V as Emperor of India took place on 12 December 1911, subsequent to his coronation at Westminster Abbey in June 1911. This last celebration had all the princely states in attendance. The decision to hold the Coronation Durbars in Delhi at the vast open ground at Coronation Park was a move to emphasise the historical significance of Delhi as the former capital of the Mughal Empire.[1][2][3]Also, Coronation Park has the largest and tallest statue of King George V. The statue was moved here in the mid-1960s from a site opposite India Gate in the centre of New Delhi. It is opposite the Obelisk called the Coronation Memorial, which commemorates the 1911 Durbar, when George V laid the foundation stone for the new capital city of New Delhi.[1][2][4][5]

Amazing place to hangout with friends.
Nice place for everyone
Its a nice place to jog, exercise, play and hangout with family and friends at twilight hours. The park has some historical value also and has a central biggest pillar in it, with 5 other smaller monuments surrounding it at a distance. The park is quite big and also, has a lake (it doesnt look like a lake perhaps) which looks more like a marsh land. Parking is available for free. Wheel chair accessible. The place is full of couples.
Fantastic park of delhi.

The Historical Place in state of neglect, DDA n Delhi Govt both are not taking care well....badly maintained,No security personnels available, absence of ticket system is spoiling the beauty of place, state should consider ticketing system of minimum rs 5 , will work if state lacks fund.Anysways nice place to visit but the ignorant public is reckless and does not care about rules and cleaness nor is their authority to enforce.
