It’s a high vibed and absolutely well maintained property.We thoroughly enjoyed the hike. The overall experience of staying was great.

Worst stay of my life. The owners and staff are extremely arrogant and never take feedback constructively. Kept entering out rooms without permission. Brought their family into our cottage and sat around for hours and weren’t apologetic about the same. Found bugs in my dal, which they tried to justify and pass off as Jeera. Food preparation was terrible. We asked for tandoori malai brocolli but they served us boiled brocolli with chaat masala. They gave us wet towels and blamed the weather. Whenever we complained they said they have personal problems and hence weren’t able help us.Wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here.

Amazing stay. Its in the embrace of nature, its a hidden gem. A little away from Doon city, it is nestled in a lush green area. The owners really care about greenery and make sure that the place remains beautiful.

The location and the property is good but really didn’t like the management and food was really over priced, not worth the cost. The staff was rude may be following the orders from the owner. Very uncooperative ownership as fake promises made during the reservation.

To begin with… v booked this secluded property looking for peace and relaxation in these COVID stressful times… but it ended in a nightmare… the food stinks of bad quality overcooked oil… the property was top notch in terms of beauty and cleanliness but based in the farthest corner from city .. it was so bad for us as we had 8 kids in total… milk was Of water consistency … the staff is polite but sadly they r stupid.. as they they had to be given instructions for even a minute thing which we ordered… I would not recommend this place at all , in case u r travelling with family… but if u r in a zen mode then this is the perfect place for u.. as the owners r in that mode too !! And lastly this is super duper overpriced too !

An amazing place ,with beautiful gardens and relaxing colourful vibe ,in midst of hills . The balcony is amazing to enjoy the weather and the bird chirping sounds. The staff makes sure that all the needs are catered to. Must visit if you are looking for peace and serenity.We were really concerned regarding the COVID entry in Uttrakhand but the staff suggested us that it was not a big deal . At the Uttrakhand borders , it took us 15 min to get tested , it was free and really smooth.I definitely recommend this place to visit.

This place is a hidden gem near Dehradun.You will fall in love with this place with lushgreen premises, picturesque view of Mussoorrie and sound of flowing tons river in the background.Also, you will find a lot of birds in and around this place. One thing which separates this from other resort is its antique collection of books,gramophone,furniture , interior of rooms which will mesmerised you. Also, last but not the least,its not the building but staff which makes your stay memorable.Staff is very courteous,food is too good.Try their gulab jamun, mutton,poha..its awesome. In short,its must visit place if you want to unwind in natures lap near Dehradun city.

Shaheen Bagh was a hidden delight. We were not expecting it to be such a wonderful oasis in the foothills of Mussorie! The staff is extremely warm and each of them go out of the way to ensure that everything you need is taken care of.The chef at Shaheen Bagh is very good too and is happy to customise and whip up a wholesome and healthy meal ( the fruits from the organic farm and milk from the farm cow/is refreshing )Do take a walk down the road from the property and make it a point to visit their private access to the beautiful river which flows very close to the property.Overall, we planned to stay here for 4 days and ended up staying for two weeks. Highly recommend staying here.

Breathtakingly beautiful place. A quiet and quaint location. I went on a wedding to this place. Its cozy and the sunny days just brighten Shaheen bagh up like nothing you witness in busy cities. It is beautifully made. In morning it brims up with birds chirpings. The rooms are grand and named after birds. An avid bird watcher will love it.I recommend it to everyone who wants a getaway from busy life. You will fall in love with the place instantly like I did.

Looks like I forgot to leave a detailed review. Here goes. I attended a wedding at this boutique ~6-7 months ago and stayed 2 nights comfortably. Its a beautiful property with great views of neighboring hills, away from the city. The friendly dog, Kajol, is a constant companion, and the owner will share some interesting stories around the naming of this cute little friend (and related hilarious consequences).As mentioned, it is far from the city, therefore, it is highly recommended to plan arrival / departure in advance (esp if youre headed to the airport) and have a reserved taxi booking confirmed overnight. If youre looking for a long weekend getaway, this is a great choice.

Guys, beware of making any reservation at this property.They can cancel your booking anytime in lieu of someone offering them some extra bucks, as they did to my reservation.My online confirmed reservation was canceled by them that left me in the soup and costing me a fortune.Highly arrogant and unprofessional attitude.You can easily find a better alternative with much more pleasant experience at multiple places near to this property like tree of life, walterre, salwood, riverstone and many more..The whole management is full of fraudstersq

Shaheen Bagh is the best place to stay near Deharadun. It is surrounded by dense trees. The property is well maintained. Though it is constructed 13 years earlier, the authentic collection of British era artifacts gives you a feeling of colonial structure. It has a well maintained swimming pool. Its a great place to stay with family and friends.

What a beautiful place this is. Cozy and really comfortable rooms, beautiful property aesthetics, the old school charm, all the modern amenities and above all of that, warm staff to make you feel like home and really taken care off. The owners really look after you.Get a book, sit in silence, play some calming music in the background and enjoy the nature around you. Shades of green and no shadows, theres enough shade for everyone and everything. Birds in the morning and the countless stars at night, sound of the river, a random thunder and a few droplets sometimes.What a stay this was!!!17 rooms are more than enough to accommodate a few families in comfort. Dont forget to check out the suite, its amazing. The library has a good selection of books and artifacts. The food matches the goodness of home cooked food, fresh ingredients, less hotel like... perfect for me.Make sure that you are not expecting the dehradun hustle and the hot weather. The property is quiant and the temperature is lower than the city.

Beautifully designed property

I booked a room for 2 nights 30-31st December 2018 through a Myoki.in under the false re-branded name of Garden Villa, however after looking for the Garden Villa for over 30 mins, we were informed that the place is actually called Shaheen Bagh and the travel agent (Myoki) brands it as Garden Villa.This is was the first red flag, however the stay just got worse. While the property and the pictures are accurate to what we found, the amenities and services were far from what we expected. Given that it was New Years, we paid what typically would be 5 star hotel rates but what we got was 2 star service with room features that were sub-standard.Basic problems such as no heater in the room in December to WiFi not working to subscription to TV channels having expired to the safe locker key being lost to electrical circuits tripping - we faced every problem humanly possible.While the managers (Arun and Sandhya) were quick to fix the problems, we were just not ready for the inconvenience. To top it off, the management of Myoki too was not very responsive and left it to the managers to better the situation.I genuinely believe that the place has a lot of potential given its looks and old school charm but either the management needs to be given to a chain that knows how to run a beautiful property like that or they need to lower the price in order to be branded as a 3 star rather than a 4-5 star.Lastly, connectivity is a problem as the place is 20 mins outside the city and getting an OLA or Taxi is a major challenge.Final conclusion - Good Property but needs significant improvement in how its run and managed.

Really pretty resort hidden in the foothills in Dehradun. Cut off from the crowd. The rooms have an old homely, comfortable feeling. The place has a lot of nice birds and exotic plants too! Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic resort/homestay. Homely food and very courteous staff. Knocked off 1 star for substandard heater in the room rest all experience was really good.

Not worth going. Biggest bad is that they don’t have option to choose a la-carte for lunch or dinner. Even if you want to take small meal you have to pay 1000 rupees.First of all it’s costly, the rate of lunch or dinner per person is 1000 + tax and you will get on dal one non veg item two vegetables small amount of salad, achar papad (more like thali and not buffet menu as we can expect for this price)..1000 for a thali I don’t think it’s worth it. If you wish to add fire at the common area 3000 for bonfire and 1000 for each of small fire places tax is extra of course.Services are very slow. Lastly when bill is given they will charge GST while it doesn’t have any GST number (see attached pics)Better to avoid this place if you want to spend this much there are so many options nearby.

Bad quality of service.Poor Location. Remote location in a village with zero access to any thing.No wifi.Staff do not respond to calls.No food outlet near by and they don’t even have a menu, just provide lunch dinner on demand.

Nice ambience & homely food. Owners are such a nice persons. U can visit this place to live in nature. U can hear birds chirping all day.

The resort is located on a really bad location, they charge high prices with zero service quality and even the wifi doesn’t works, they pay no attention towards the customers needs and requests. They switch off all the sockets at 12 in the night. You can’t even charge your phone and turn on the heater. They don’t even have a menu. And also there’s no food outlet near by.

I do not think there will be any better place to live , if you are in Dehradun. The food served is delicious. The rooms are better than a 4star hotel.

I will never recommend dis hotel. the owner has no business ethics. we had one week advance booking (confirmd) in dis hotel. when v reached d resort, the owner told us that dere is no booking in our name. that was very akward situation as we were travelling wid our one year kid since early morning from gurgaon. we requested her that v dont hav any other option but she was very rude. she has sold out that room to walk in customer cause walk in pay more than online customer. n that tym all d hotels were buked in dehradun. so v have to come all d way to mussoorie n goibibo arranged another room for us. But v faced a lot of problem as in mussoorie it was very cold n v were not carrying woolens. then v again called up shaheen bagh...for just asking them that how can they do such things..n told d owner that I will write ur review then she threatened me that she will file a Defamation (Maanhani) case. after her dis case file threaten now I hav decided that I will file case on her. why shud v people suffer because of such business minded people.

Let me be very clear before you consider booking this heaven.This property is very far (15Km) from city so unless you have come with your own vehicle or can afford a 700Rupees trip every day or on a Break from life, this place is not for you and if you come after reading this please dont reduce rating for this awesome place.All said and done this trip of mine was for a small business come break trip with a friend.I decided to book the place getting the good vibes of Hospitality of the owner from the earlier reviews.I contacted them and trust me it didnt feel a bit like I am talking to a Hotel Management person.When I reached there,the owners were standing with a warm welcoming heart.Its a British style bungalow with a new wing built in modern ways.Its more of a farmhouse with everything at your disposal.The place have few bedrooms a large dining table and Living, accessible to every guest including of the people coming to meet you.Mr Arun Gupta have his own Giant Library of DVDs and Books in pretty much Mint condition.The view from the Balcony could have been similar to the professional photos uploaded by trimming down the trees a bit.The open lawn space is a natural beauty.The pool have best and freshest water I have ever dipped in.They have this Cricket pitch too if you have got will to take out the Sachin inside,HAHAHA.We played Badminton, Carrom and Chess.As we were the only guests during the stay , I felt like its our farmhouse with dressed servers.The Room we took was Green Room.The names are referring to the color theme except the Master bedroom which is more of a Suite with separate living and a giant washroom. Our room was prepared by a Camphor diffuser. Its a good absorbent of odor and the room was fresh like heaven.Although the Mattress could have been better. The Rooms did have mosquitoes which wasnt a surprise knowing the greenery.The washroom were clean and the products were Organic.Fresh Towels and warm water were the things that need to be taken care of.Lets talk about food now.The dining table I talked about is used to serve everyone in home style with options of Veg and Non Veg. They serve a variety of dishes.I will suggest of you are coming on a break from hectic life style please pre book your food.The breakfast had atleast 4 Solid Food and fruits with Boxed Juice.Tea served is Okay because as tasty food raised the expectations.The dinner was also an awesome experience.They have this British style Table bell for calling the waiter which was actually fascinating.The place is less of a Hotel more of a getaway from the hectic life we always talk about.Come here with friends or family or even alone.Its worth it.Do yoga, meditate, walk, Play or swim.Feel the new you should be the tagline of this Hotel.Although alcohol is not served here , You can bring your own and use the little fridge in your room.I am very pleased with the efforts the couple have put up here.Both of them reminded me of my parents and I spent a lot of amount with them talking about family and life.I actually am fond of both of them as they are very complimentary to each other.I wish my best to them for life.This place is the child of Mr and Mrs Gupta. The amount of care they have taken of same is beyond imagination.I remember while booking Mr Gupta gave me very good deal with the food prices but while billing both of us forgot the same and he charged me 1000 Rs more.I didnt remember that and paid the amount.On day i cheched out, In the evening he called and told me same and asked my bank details with apologies for the misplace. I wouldnt have minded even if he forgot or any thing. A few days later he also whatsapped me the Deposit slip and the amount was credited. Wonderfully honest man.Travellers Tip-Prebook food if you are coming for getaway. Bring your vehicle or hire one if its a tourist trip.Try booking when the owners are present. TIP for Non Indians-Please do call owners before booking as you might face language problems.Inform about your food needs if you have any specifics.Use the Internet for local know hows.Use  Cab/Taxi  to travel around city.Call me 24x7 if stuck anywhere in India on  , I will try to get you best possible help from authorities.SUGGESTIONS to management-Please Take care of your wifi.A little more training to boys will do wonders though still they are very good.A small bars pace isnt mandatory but would be well appreciated.The warm water issue needs to be rectified. The pool side chairs are broken.
