My favourite book shop in Dehradun, a place i have been visiting since childhood. Played an important role in inculcating book reading habit in me during my school days. I hope the place continues to do well and become more popular, despite changing consumer patterns and declining book reading culture.

Its a warm and lovely place to visit. Its so peaceful place with the extremely beautiful fragrance of the coffee next door and the advantage is your cafe is one door away. Everyone there is so kind and helpful.

The book store inside Barista located in the middle of the city.... You can find most of the books here with lots of intresting stationary like dairies, notebooks, bookmarks, laptop covers, scented diffusers and much more... A must visit book store....

Very aesthetically arranged book shop. Tell them a book, if they do not have it, they get one for you. Very helpful staff. And what is better than a single entry to a bookshop and a cafe.

Cozy bookstore, accessed through a barista cafe with great drinks. A good, accessible location near Paltan Bazaar and Ghantha Ghar, with a wide array of books.

Its such a warm and lovely place, definitely a dream come true for book lovers. But I wish there were more books to choose from, although its a great place for crime book lovers. (THEY HAVE ALL AGATHA CHRISTIE BOOKS!!)

Being a book afficando, when I moved from Bangalore to Dehradun, I was asked to visit the English Book Depot. It was the first commercial establishment I visited in Doon. The collection is mind boggling, the ambience perfect, and the staff very cooperative. It has a coffee shop attached too.

My experience with this shop and the shopkeeper is good, he is a gentleman and services was fast and smooth.

My search for books brought me here. The legendary The english book depot, Indias premier bookstore since 1923. Situated inside barista cafe, they have a quality collection of both English and Hindi books. I gifted myself The Class by Erich Segal.

This is the best place to find niche books related to military and British Raj that you may not find anywhere in the world.The Non Fiction collection is really good, with new releases also getting stocked instantly. However, for fiction paperbacks, The Green Book Shop is a better bet!Let Down : The English Book Depot is housed inside the Barista Lavazza Cafe. However it was not allowed to take the books to the cafe to read and check them out before buying. While I understand the reason, it wouldve still been awesome, and would probably lead to larger sales. Just saying. 😉

If u are looking for religion, humanity, management, forestry, hindi, yoga type books....then it is a good place for you....but if u want to buy engineering books or general studies book then it is not of your interest...the books sell here at mrp without any discount....if i tell about my experience... i felt cheated because same book is available at low price (online store)....So please compare before buy.....
