My one and a half months in the library of IRDE during January and February 2001 was the apotheosis with respect to my beginning of deep and profound understanding of cosmology.Although I had been there as a vocational trainee but I had little interest in that training, so I would pass the best part of my time in that library, where I would read various books and magzines over cosmology and it was 17 January 2001, when 2 booksellers had come in that library and from them I had bought a book Introduction to High Energy Physics by Donald H. Perkins and that book proved to be a milestone in indulging my passion for the mysteries of the Universe and helped me write the book The Mysterious World of Fundamental Particles.

Nstruments Research and Development Establishment (IRDE), is devoted to research, design, development and technology transfer in optical and electro-optical instrumentation primarily for the defence ServicesThe origin of Instruments Research and Development Establishment (IRDE) dates back to the establishment of Inspectorate of Scientific Stores in 1939 at Rawalpindi (now in Pakistan) with the responsibility to inspect the tele-communication equipment used by the Army in India. This AHSP underwent many organisational and locational changes until it took the shape of Technical Development Establishment (Instruments & Electronics) covering both R&D and AHSP functions in the fields of instruments and electronics and was located at Dehra Dun. The Establishment, during subsequent years, shed some of its R&D and AHSP responsibilities and came into existence, in its present form as IRDE on 18 February 196
