This is historical place, trample dated back to gautam rishi, where he cursed (shrap) his wife Ahilya to become stone, she became woman again when Shri Ram touch the stone while going to exile with sita and Laxman. Here is a water kund (pond),it is said that water comes through under ground into from the river Ganga from rishikesh. Water is tested and proven have quality of the river Ganga.
