Heard of Udupi cafe very much. Madrasi Dosa is best there! But the service needs to get improvised.

Very good and popular cafe. A good hygiene is mentioned..... If you are south Indian food lovers just like me then this place is perfect for you.Price is also very reasonable and food is delicious 🤤🤤.

Nice ambience. Food is good. Filter coffee takes back to memory lane. The flip side, service is slow. I wonder how they deal with customers during peak hours. Service needs to be super fast. Im giving 2 stars less for service.

Amazing Dosas. Havent tried anything else but the dosas (each one on the menu) are awesome. The service is a little slow though as the place is usually very crowded. Sometimes youll have to wait for a table, but its worth it.

Edit -possibly my last parcel from udupi.The quantity is reduced very drastically.Not much difference between chutney and Sambhar bowl.Not sure how is 1 supposed to have 2 ildis with such less quantity of sambhar.They have increased the branded packaging cost and the cuts are made on the consumers end.Pictures added.Huge waiting time for packing orders.The person on reception can be a little warm.Please check your dosa before leaving as twice my order was burnt when open at home

5/5 for food.1/5 for service.Taste and quality of food was very nice. But Customer service was very poor. Had to wait 40+ mins still complete order was not served. Waiters were taking orders to wrong table. We had to give lump sump bill on our own because they didnt know what was served to us. They need to work on management part. Else its a good option.

The best south indian food in dehradun . Vada sambhar and mini thali is so authentic in taste. Loved it . Great service and ambience .

Its my second visit to Udupi. I like their open space, s(sunny) of cafe, situated near road side. They serve in steel thali.I ordered a coffee, idli and vada combo which was remarkable. Chole rice is a good change from south to north Indian which my colleague Pratap had. Paneer parantha was done well with a hint of ghee(clarified butter) spread on top. The only thing I dint like was the tomato chutney. It was not authentic as you get in usual South Indian places. As per my experience it had a hint of sweetness and tamarind which in my experience is not a preparatory ingredient of authentic tomato chutney. May be they can bring change in that.Service was lovely. We were taken care by a lady(devi shakti). She seemed she love working there, positive and looked after us very well.Thank you Udupi.

Have been frequenting Udipi Cafe for over two years now and I’m a fan. The food is great and the staff are very nice. Definitely one of the best Southern Indian joints in Dehradun.

The food was good but cold. Service was very useless. The counter manager was using very abusive language. Which is very wrong. There is absolutely no way to talk about how people are talked to. Abusive language was being used with his own employee.

Great place to eat south Indian food they have maintained Higgins very well the was also tasty and price were quite reasonable.I ordered masala dosa😋😋 there and the service was quite good appreciate it👌👌

If you are expecting authentic South Indian food youll be disappointed. ( I have lived in south india for 4 years and survived on idles and dosas ). Its a decent place to hangout with family and friends and have dosas and idlis. And a little overpriced for south Indian food. Only recommended if you are hungry and craving south Indian food only .

Dosa was too thin and too crunchy to eat nothing like authentic dosa. Uneven salt in masala. Service was also slow. Only ambiance is nice. Two start due to my love for dosa.

Pathetic.. first they gave me incomplete order.. the cashier was least bothered... Order a shake and it was given in a polithin like it was some dahi.. disappointed..

Manmohan Ji the manager he made my day as i came with my wife to hv a south indian food and the food which made my wife calm and serenitic as she was suffering from dehydration, the pineapple halwa was epic to have in the end of the meal and the ice cream which they served complementary was so heart warming, love to udupi cafe to serve us the best south indian food here in Dehradun.

The location is the only thing which i like most about the uduppi cafe. Masala dosa is ok ok. Idli was nice. Their service is also very slow. Prices are moderate. One dosa is enough for one person. Sambhar is ok ok.

Food here is quite good. The pineapple halwa adds lovely dessert taste to the South Indian food. Waiting period is also minimal even after high inrush.

Everything was good. Only issue is the staff chit chat which kills the vibe of eating peacefully. The staff talks a lot, from counter to kitchen all are talking , shouting. It would be great if an ambiance can be maintained. Rest food was awesome . 5 out of 5 for food.

Today I went to this cafe and I had Bombay dosa and idli with coffee and tea.... everything was delicious specially idli and tea...clean and hygienic place. All staff are well trained and they are very polite.. specially I want to mention that I have never seen any generous owner like Udupis cafe and I will visit again....

Totally mismanaged.A lot of uncertainties. No service at all, except the dishes taste just above average.A focus on the operations is highly needed.They had an exemplary manager a few years back who used to take care of the customers excellently.Its a shame he was fired.We have always found this place in chaos. There are not too many options for South Indian restaurants in doon.I wish not to give them stars at all.A star for the food taste

Big difference in taste and cooking, the vada are quite hard, the sambar & coconut chutney is sweet in taste. As per the quality and test are quite high, actually it misses the touch of South Indian taste. Only one thing I like was 🍍 pineapple halwa.

Nice open space, yummy Dosas...Plain dosa was crisp, coconut chutney and Sambhar were delicious.Parrotta with korma was bit disappointment as it turned out to be more like lacha paratha with butter paneer.Service was prompt and Ambiance is relaxed and lot of natural light and airy. Nice place

The Madrasi dosa was awesome,also the staff was cheerful in serving to their customers!! We also got a complementary ice-cream ! Had a great time enjoying some South Indian belonging from the North! Cheers.
