Yummy food but service has to be improved. Junction 8. I mean most of the dining experience there, the staff in a rush to clear all the plate as soon as we finished the dishes. In a hint like to chase customer out of their shop as soon as possible, though there is no customer waiting in the queue. Really dislike the service. Service does not compatible with the food price. Hope this can be improved, so that i don’t mind patron again and again. Because the food in greendot are really good!
Customer service is bad. There is no system. It doesnt make sense. There are sufficient staff. However, when someone infront take 10++mins to order, another employee absolutely didnt have the initiative to assist or attend to the next customer. The staff are so focus on being busy that they didnt notice who is in the queue. Its became a situation of I notice you, so Ill give you priority & attend to you first. So even if you manage to get a table, no one will tell you that you can order online. You are left on your own to figure out. This is the first time, where the customer service makes you feel unwelcomed. This branch has lots to learn. The staff in other branches like nex are so welcoming & the customer service is excellent. The food is not very cheap. Yet the customer service at bishan branch doesnt justify the price we are paying.
Food is good here. Service could be much better however especially since the aunties around like to talk loudly - the staff I mean. But overall still doable. Green dot food and drinks are always beyond expectations nonetheless. Prices are definitely on the pricier side however and burger portions are quite small - prices are similar to western food :)
Bento lunch is good and offer a selection of flavoured rice to choose from. But be prepared to pay more.
Greendot has one of the better vegetarian foods around, in my limited experience with vegetarian. The food quality is pretty good, however at a price point that hurts my wallet a little considering the types of ingredients that go into their foods. Overall recommended if youre willing to spend a little more.
I had a lovely lunch experience at green dot Junction 8. It was lunch time so expect a queue. I was lucky enough it was just for 10 minutes and I managed to get a table. I took the bento box with 1 premium main, 1 main and 2 greens with brown rice. Great value for money, quite filling and each dish was delicious. Especially the mushroom rendang and the curry potatoes were delish. Perfect meat free no guilt meal!
I dont really love to eat vegan food. But the food here was super delicious. It has different type of vegetable and meat to chose. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Will definitely go back again.
Lovely food. Love the mushroom noodles they have there. Its a must try if you go there so is their spicy laksa with mock meat.!!!
Cooling , service good .
We waited for so long after ordering on the website.... in the end you missed out one of our dishes
I like the food and that’s why i go here occasionally but had bad experience with staffs most time. today also no different , especially the staff who at food selection. one of my favourite veg was jus finished infront of me n when i asked if they going to bring more of that, her response was a ‘no’ in very rude voice. also asked me to get out of shop n wait outside for a table. felt insulted
I like the food from Greendot but the service at Junction 8 is really not up to standard. The staff who seeved me on 11 April at 1pm was very unhygienic. She scrooped the dishes that I had ordered quickly although there was nobody queueing behind me. Then the cabbage that I had ordered was dangling outside the packaging box. Guess what? It touched her fingers which was holding on the box and she quickly turned her back towards me and used her fingers to flip the cabbage into the box! This is worse than coffee shop standard in turns of hygiene. I felt so disgusted by her action. If in front of the customers the staff was like this, I cant imagine those who are preparing our food in the kitchen! I shall never patronise from this outlet again! Or the other outlets hygiene standard is the same?
Laksa was $7.50. On the higher price side.Gravy was very nice, not too thick. Average spicyness. They have free sambal chilli at the sauces/cutlery corner!3 prawn-like meat, 3 crab? konyaku balls, mushrooms, beansprouts and taupok. Wanted to try the handlemade noodle but I forgot to tell the cashier to change. The thick beehoon noodles are good too.
Ordering system a bit chaotic. There is a separate queue if you want to order rice vs noodles. No signage about it. I ordered takeaway. After ordering & paying, I was told to wait outside the shop which is also where the queue for the ordering (for the rice) takes place. The numbering system was down that day I was there and I had no idea when my order will be ready. the outside of the shop is chaotic as you have people queuing to order, people waiting for their food & other people walking around (either looking for what stall to patronise and people coming through the place to/from the MRT entry/exit. When the food is ready, a staff brings out the food and had to figure out who the food is for amongst the people waiting around.
Today I was planning to eat there, however I noticed that the restaurant staff was not even paying attention to the people queuing, so I left after a while. The old lady was more busy to tell people to keep a distance to the take away costumers. The restaurant is too small, and you have to wait a longtime to get a table.I won’t comeback, on top of that I saw someone commenting about hygiene issues, the old lady staff using her fingers to keep the cabbage into the take away box. No thanks, I rather go somewhere else.
I am always a fan of Green dot at paya Lebar Square. Thus I went in this one at J8 with same expectation. Unfortunately the food taste burnt and worse the broccoli was turning bad, suspected they leave the dishes in the open air for too long. Told the staff about it, they didnt seem to do anything or feel the need to compensate customers for the bad food. Yuk, what a disappointment!
Healthy and tasty vegan food that wont burn a hold in your wallet. Junction 8 outlet appears to be smaller as compared to the other branches, but still good for small groups. Clean environment with friendly staff.
I did not like how I sat down to eat but had to tie up my Long hair and I was told not to tie my hair or ‘make’ my hair cause it’s going to fall into other ppl’s food. I understand the rationale but we aren’t children and it’s a public place. There are many ppl with Long hair and im sure they can go around to every single one to tell them no touching their hair, but I don’t see them telling some folks to not cough while eating, isn’t that more of a hygiene concern in this covid pandemic? Never heard of an eatery where you can’t do this and can’t do that. This is going too far to be a turn off and would they rather A customer not tie their hair at all and not be able to eat without eating their own hair? Greendot, always an alarming experience at Bishan branch. I had other service issues at this branch. Having to repeat myself to the cashier more than once always, noisy place, cramped...just plain annoying. Other branches at Nex and city area are lovely in service.
The auntie that served me was very rude. Was inpatient with me and raise her voice when I asked questions on the pricing. Ordered Mala. Portion is big enough for 2. Food was ok. Added extra spicy but taste like xiao la (less spicy).
This is the first time I do a alacarte take away here. I usually go to the outlet at westgate where the staff are trained and pleasant.I find the service here somewhat rude. The server was not pleasant when serving the food and the cashier was equally unpleasant.I ordered 3 portions of rendang lion mane mushrooms and a eggplant and okra. The taste of the lion mane was ok. But the okra and eggplant was rather fibrous, too old i guess. And I only realised that I was charged a service charge when I just do take away. Why?
We ordered to try the following:- Lion Mane mushroom Bento (also known as Monkey Head mushroom)- Curry Potato Bento- Mixed mushroom Bento- Braised Tau Kwa & mushroom Bento- Signature Lion Mane mushroom rendang w Turmeric rice- Crispy Beancurd skin w sesame riceAnd Crispy Beancurd skin w sesame rice has the highest votes within the family! Because this is in fact a mock chicken rice, hahaha2nd - Mixed mushroom Bento & Lion Mane mushroom
Good veggie food option. Some food prices are on the higher end side.
Food is OK. Service is poor. Not flexible, bento plus can’t switch to porridge
Nice vegetarian food.
As much as I love Greendots rendang & eggplants (the nonya curry sometimes cold, soya nuggets not nice, normal gyoza not worth it) ... Ive been here 5x & the staff are unpleasant. I think the Chinese ladies are very argumentative, once I heard her & another staff arguing loudly. Now I heard another customer getting frustrated with her. In general theres a surly & unpleasant atmosphere. Vegetarian food is not just about food, the atmosphere of peace is just as important. I hope not to come back to this branch. In Tampines too, had bad experience with staff - ask politely to help us with a couple who sat next to us & refuse to follow CB rules, got dismissed. Makes me wonder how Greendot treats its staff.
Confusing queuing policy and whats worse, the staff didnt even enforce it. Someone ordered dishes behind me and she was allowed to pay when it was my turn to order. She even had the cheek to tell me to move aside when I was clearly in front of her at the queue. I had such a terrible experience that I will probably think twice before I step into this outlet again.
Service is very bad.
Quite disappointed to eat the uncooked red rice and yet the price was not cheap. Dont think to revisit this restaurant again.
Very good beef rendang
Greendot needs not introduction their foods are yummy.
Can’t recommend to order Burgers here. Takes ages even for take-away!
Nice food.
Service very rude and mean
Because it’s vegetarian, the price is a bit expensive
