A beautiful Durga Devi Temple in Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve Chowk, Murud, Dapoli is a famous landmark of Murud. The temple is very old and the renovation dates back to 1760s. The temple premise along with idol of ashtabhuja (8 handed) Durga Devi, have a small Temple dedicated to Shri Ram, idols of Ganpati, Shankar and nandi, a huge sabha mandap, deep mal and a huge Portuguese bell which believed to give by Chimaji Appa after the raid on Portuguese. The pillars of the temple have carving of Dashavtari.

Beautiful temple of durga devi. This temple is more than 100 years. Nice and quite place surrendered by coconut trees.It is situated near Murid Beach which is famous for water activities and dolphins. I have only heard of dolphin sighting but never experienced, some resorts arrange for boats for dolphin sighting.
