Nice and clean station. Low Railway passenger and no unauthorised stall make the station clean and beautiful. Also there is railway shead and over bridge make journey comfortable.

I was a passenger bound for Guwahati. My Boarding point was Dankuni and my Train was 02249, Bangalore City--New Tinsukia Express.I will speak from the perspective of a long distance passenger.Access to this station is cumbersome if one decides to reach by road.Instead a far suitable alternative will be to take a Local train from Sealdah, which are plentiful in number.My Train from South India took the BankraNayabaz- BhattaNagar-Baltikuri section from Andul to reach DankuniTrain waited for 25 minutes at Dankuni which is ample for anyone.

Dankuni is a railway junction station on the Howrah–Burdwan chord line and it is located at Hooghly district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is linked with both Howrah and Sealdah for this it is a junction station.The Howrah–Bardhaman chord, a shorter link to Bardhaman from Howrah than the Howrah–Bardhaman main line, was constructed in 1917. In 1932, the Calcutta chord line was built over the Bally/Vivekanand/Willingdon Bridge joining Dum Dum and Dankuni.

Clean and sufficient place for the daily passengers to accommodate easily.There are total 5 platforms and wagan line is separate.The station is in the Bardhamman chord line and Junction between Sealdah and Howrah line.You will find several trains in upwards direction from Howrah and Sealdah via DumDum junction and downward direction from Bardhamman. Bandel etc. Please check online for train timings.Pay and use toilet is available for both gender.You will get enough auto, magic and E-ricksaw from the station in different direction of Dankuni and towards National highway and Delhi Road.Market is attached withe station.Enough shops and food stalls are available there for any need.

A good but small junction station in the chord line of Howrah-Burdwan railway track. This junction station station is specifically important for joining Howrah and Sealdah lines through two different local tracks. Although the station is neat and clean with available drinking water and public toilets, the toilets should be cleaned more frequently. And ER should think about increasing the frequency of Dankuni-Sealdah locals to tackle rush in this line. Also, ER may think about stopping more mail trains in this junction station so that office passengers can travel with ease.

Last Sunday I attended a picnic in Dankuni. Went there (Dankuni Station) by train. The station is clean with good display board. Newspaper stall is good as well, I purchased my favorite Bengali tabloid (ebela) from them.

An intermediate station between HOWRAH/SEALDAH/KOLKATA and BARDDHAMAN..chord line trains are available here.

Important station but not very systematic. You can access trains to both Howrah and Sealdah from this junction. But the problem is all the platforms are not well interconnected. Place is not clean enough. Shades on the platforms are not adequate. But as you can say if you have time in hand its a good station to access trains.

Foot over bridge is not there for passengers exit. Poor maintenance found at the station. Passengers comes to station at their own risk.

Pay and use toilet also available here.outside the station you can easily get vehicle to visit.you can easily get some food for your tiffin.bike parking facilities is also available here.Drinking water atm is there, but these are not working condition. water supply system not working properly ,its very hard to get water in dankuni station.its very hot in summer condition, without available of water.
