The seats in the IMAX theater look brand new. The best screen angle for me was at row F. Centerline is approximately seat 12. Both the sound and the screen were clear. The seats dont recline, but the backs do move back a few degrees. The armrests are wide, have cup holders and can be lifted out of the way.

This theater is huge. I enjoy coming to this theater because there is plenty of parking in two parking garages that are free. I was able to purchase tickets online which also made things easy for checking in. I just scanned my barcode and no tickets needed to be printed which is great for the environment. The line for the snack bar can be a little chaotic, but it is what it is. I was a little disappointed to hear that there are no more refills available for the large popcorn. I went to watch a film at their IMAX screen which was great. The theater was clean, but they also offered wipes at the entrance of the theater if you wanted to do an extra wipe of your seat. The bathroom in the facility was also well maintained. I was very happy with my experience here. Its also surrounded by other eateries that you can enjoy before or after a movie.

Parking is easy since structure is right next to building. Ordered tickets online for Free Guy. Theaters are mostly empty. Buttered popcorn was bland. Left most of it behind. Temperature in theater is cool, can bring a light jacket. Once you take the escalators up the first time, there is a place to buy snacks.

Great place for matinees. Not crowded or expensive. Good snacks & free parking! Safe setting! Nice staff. I went to the theater in mid February, 2019 & bought popcorn. It tasted metallic. I could not finish it for fear that there was something wrong with it. That made me upset! I never being in my own food, but if their snacks are dangerous, I wont buy them & will be forced to bring in my own snacks like so many other folk. The strange tasting popcorn only happened 1 time. I like this theater alot. 11/1/19: Long line at the concession stand. It took 6 minutes.

The atmosphere at this place is starting to degrade - it looks increasingly dirty when we come. They seem to be doing their best to keep up with it, so it isn’t in disrepair... but for example, I can’t remember the last time all the escalators worked. As far as actually watching a movie - it’s good. They have all the good ones and the screens/sound are nice. They upgraded the seats a few years ago and they are comfy (though they get very warm).Overall a good - not great - movie theater

Went late Thursday right after work. The movie we wanted to see was only playing here and at the Metreon. We should have gone to the Metreon. There is a new policy and its a bag policy. And apparently states that any bag bigger than a mini backpack or a clutch isnt allowed. As i said, we came from work. Got off around 8, grabbed something to eat and hopped on bart from the financial district to Daly City Bart where we parked our car. We decided to see IP Man 4 to conclude our impromptu date night as it isnt the kind of movie we can see with the kids. They didnt let us in. We bought tickets in advance and they didnt let us in. And we had our laptops! I even asked what we were supposed to do with our computers and they said to carry the laptops in our arms, but leave the bags in the car. Then i asked if they would reimburse us for having a broken window and the other contents of our bags and the bags themselves if the car was broken into, (There isnt any security in the lot, we have an SUV, so no trunk that people cant see into. His bag is a Timbuk2 backpack and mine is a Michael Kors bag. The car would have gotten broken into.) And the person at the door said no!I bought the tickets on fandango, which doesnt have Cinemarks policy listed. I was told the policy is on the Cinemark website. I checked and under the information and policies, two are shown: costume and refund. There is no separate bag policy (see screen shot for reference). I did find mention (1 sentence) of it buried in the costume policy. Please tell me, who reads movie theater policies? Especially, who reads one about costumes to see if there is a bag restriction. The movies are not a game, concert, etc. Or a venue that i expect to have my bag size checked. I dont know if they are worried about people recording or what (which you could with a laptop, duh). The courteous thing would have been to let us through and tell us about next time. Not turn us away, especially when i said we just got off of work. And asked what to do with our laptops. If theyre concerned about recording, then they shouldnt want the laptops. It wouldnt be unheard of to offer a place to check the bag either.Needless to say, we wont be going back to the Daly City theater and Im done with Cinemark too.

Nice theatre & only ~1.5 MILE(s) down Daly Blvd 2 Skyline...if memory serves, U can go RT under Skyline 2....think it’s Thornton Beach...it’s, like, RT there, when U go past Skyline (it’s NOT far @ all man!) which is part of “The 1”/PCH Hwy...IOW, after a nice movie w/ ur date U can literally just walk down the RIGHT SIDE (if ur facing it) of the bldg 2 “cut across” 2 Daly Blvd & then RT 2 the beach....if U don’t mind walking a little bit (walking time is...about..5-7mins, I think?). Not far dude...👍🏼 Note: Even though Cinemark owns Century, I’m glad they let them use the “CENTURY NAME/“Banner” b/c of the few CENTURY Theatres there are (basically only in CALI & a FEW other “Western/Southwestern America states (the BEST part of America, IMHO) like AZ, CO, NM - & oddly, there’s ONLY like 1 in W. Texas - seems like I once read they only go as far WEST as NM but I’ve BOTH seen & been 2 that one in Far West Texas near New Mexico)....Anyway, I feel like I’m getting off topic, sorry. My point is they’re just BETTER, CLEANER, seemingly more updated & better maintained than their Cinemark Theatres “counterparts/sister theatres” I’ve been 2 in other areas/states which I’ve always found 2 be dirtier & more like...IDK, “$1-$2 Theatre-Caliber” if U know what I mean. And the person that complained about the escalators (???): 1st Off, How freaking Hard is it 2 [literally] RIDE an escalator? It does ALL the freaking “WORK” 4 U like an Elevator (would U prefer stairs?!?) & 2. That’s one of the things that makes his theater somewhat unique is the “MULTI-LEVEL DESIGN” of it so U can actually [somewhat, somewhat!] C the beautiful freaking Pacific Ocean!!!DISCLAIMER (in defense of other comments complaining about the escalators being broken): I’ve been here several times in the PAST, I’ll admit, but the escalators were ALWAYS working when I WAS THERE. I could be wrong b/c just b/c they were ALWAYS WORKING when I was there & IF they R broken “NOW” & frequently here lately then MAYBE mngmt is NOT keeping things run like they used 2 be earlier this 1st part of this past decade when I was going (2010-2015/6-ish...admittedly, I’ve not been here in a while (past few/4 years or so, I think it’s been) since I’ve been working/living in Texas past 4-ish yrs - ironically, where the “lone” (re: one) CENTURY Theatre in the entire state exists...LOL) - then they DEFINITELY NEED 2 get them fixed!! Like I stated above, Century Theatres, historically, always seem to be well-maintained versus Cinemark theatres IMHO.Anywhoooo [sic], this is a great Theatre (which is the CORRECT SPELLING: U do NOT SPELL “TheatRE” w/ a “-ER” @ the end; it’s not an “ER” (emergency room)!!!! 😂 LOL!!! Have here on few date although it HAS BEEN a couple + yrs ago since I last went (2017-ish?). Has ALWAYS been a NICE, CLEAN, GREAT, COMFORTABLE CHAIRS (read others comments...I’m guessing somebody’s mentioned this considering how bad some theatres seating is), WELL-MAINTAINED Theatre w/ a GREAT LOCATION....how many other theatres sit within [just barely over 1.5 mile(s)...ocean is BARELY on the “other side”/west of Skyline Blvd)/viewing distance [somewhat: depends on where ur standing there] of the Best Ocean in the World: The Pacific?

As of the date of this posting, major motion pictures are not showing, just throwbacks from the 90s and foreign films, but the movie, i believe called Basan Train to Pennisula, Korean Zombie film, was quite good though. Coincidentally, since we are living like Zombies in the mist of our real life virus, the theatre felt normal, no cashiers, have to order ahead (fandango or similar), concessions were open, small crowds and social distance in seat selection. I will never go to this theatre again. I went to watch Hotel Mumbai with my cousin, and a Couple heard my cousin speaking Arabic to me and got up and left. A few minutes later there was a cop in the theatre “standing by.”There was also only 8 people in the theatre and everyone was obviously spread out.I caught him peeking over the ledge right at my cousin when I came back from the bathroom, and he seemed startled when he noticed me observing what he was doing. Also, the chairs are advertised as recliners but didn’t recline one bit. They were also made of very thin cushions that felt cheap and uncomfortable. The speakers in theatre one are super old and sound blown out. No where near as clear and crisp as any other movie theatre. and not to mention the movies aspect ratio wasn’t calibrated correctly😭I felt completely scammed.
