Awesome! Nice rooms and good food. Adjacent to Dalhousie bus stand. Place is very comfortable in terms of living. And it is very reachable from all the tourist places. Staff is very helpful in providing thenecessary services.

Hotel is next to bus stop and is pretty good. Cost was bit more but we did not have any other option as it was peak season. Rooms and blankets were clean. Staff was good.

Hotel rooms quality was good and the size of room was also good.. the view from the hotel back towards mountains are amazing. The best things is this hotel is very close to Gandhi chock , you can walk to the ghandi marks, church, mall road. Best place to stay.they also provided us the bonfire in month of December (Winter season).

Fantastic hotel! We thoroughly enjoyed our stage. The staff was very humble and helpful. Everything you need is well within reach. To say I had a pleasant stay would be an understatement. This hotel checks all the boxes from pocket friendly to clean rooms.

On arrival they had some power supply issues, while the neighborhood was completely lit-up We were checked-in in complete darkness.Flow of water in the shower head was too less to br of any use, moreover, it seemed to be connected only to hot water.These sit-cons aside, its a good property right next to the bus stand. We had dinner here and it was yummy.

Non Co operative staff. Kept bothering us till 10:30 pm saying we will need to pay 400 Rs more for the heater that we hadnt taken from them. It needs to be noted, that we stayed in the suite which was for 4200/- per night. Some one or the other kept knocking at the door saying Meter zor se chal raha Hai. Hamara policy nahi Hai heater chalana. In a corridor of 16 rooms, how do they have a meter for a single room, that too the most expensive room, and felt free to keep bothering us on the new year eve beats us. Even when we said we will write a review, we got a reply, Karlo jo karna hai. Spoiling our mood on New years eve for Rs 400/-. Need I say anymore? Look at the pillow they gave us. Need I say anything more? We really kicked ourselves for pre-booking this time. The views are nil and the approach needs a super experienced driver....

The location is convenient near bus stand but I gave it only 3 stars for location bcoz I like locations with good views. We had a premium room and believe me you wont get a bigger room in **** especially in an overpriced place like Dalhousie. A large spacious and very clean suite with elegant looking wood accents on walls and roof. The bathroom while being decent sized was not up to the mark. The hotel is a bit old and ageing and needs some renovation especially in bathrooms. When we arrived the bed sheets were somewhat stained and bathroom was also a bit unclean. However, the service was prompt and everything was fixed to our satisfaction withing 15-20 minutes. Even after that the service was good throughout.We didnt happen to have any meal at the hotel but the tea that they served was excellent. One of my friend however ordered a veg biryani and found it to be just average. But I will still suggest that one should have a meal there before reaching any conclusions. All in all a great value for money hotel with spacious and clean rooms with excellent room service in a professional manner. I would however suggest adding some more basic facilities atleast in premium rooms like tea/coffee maker, some more toiletries apart from soap which are standard stuff these days.

Just adjacent to Bus stand, 2 mins walking. Clean rooms, geyser takes a lot of time to provide hot water, as it is old style. Not a budget hotel, as there per night charges are 3500-4000 including veg breakfast, veg dinner, GST and all other taxes. If you want to book a day trip for all the sites, there is a booking office with different packages. IMP-If you want to enjoy snow, please ask for a place called Saach pass to be added in your package. It has snow throughout the year.

Hotel is just adjacent to dalhousie bus stop. No problem for parking. We stayed at family room with 2 big king size beds. These rooms are at basement kind of place below ground floor of reception. Problem with ventilation. Ac was not there. Windows cannot be opened due to mosquitoes and there is sewage water smell. Washrooms, linens and tv were ok.

Nice hotel on bus stand only. Location wise it is nice as you can catch bus or taxies from there easily. Rooms are beautiful. Bathrooms look outdated but completely clean. Hotel service is also very good. There is no lift in hotel so keep this thing in mind if you have elders with you. But they can give you room on ground floor as well. View from rooms are either road facing or mountain and other hotel facing. View is not wow but good.

A good place with great views. Location is nice and easily accessible. Interiors are good. Rooms are spacious but lack charm. Rooms could have been better decorated.Service can also be better. Overall a decent place to spend couple of nights.

Very Bad Hotel. Even water they provide is not drinkable. Cleanliness is zero. Mattresses are very uncomfortable you cant sleep. They are charging extra almost everything even room heater. You can go if you want to fall ill as they are providing breakfast with 300 extra and dont know in which oil they are cooking. Overall very Bad experience.

Personally it was nice experience.Location wise it was very good, at the Dalhousie bus stand, walking distance to subhash chowk, Gandhi chowk can be reached by walking but would recommend a taxi for anyone with a child under 4 years, for vegetarian there is a Gujarati restaurant as you step out of hotel, food quality of hotel was ok. ISSUE - The biggest problem which I faced was airtel phone connectivity , every time u had to step out to the balcony and wait for signals to make a call or see whatsapp message although hotel had wifi but there was no network in my room.

Was a pleasant 1 night stay with my family. Room was big and was comfortable. No A/C but had a table fan. Ordered food at night and breakfast to room. Room service was prompt and food was good too. Managed professionally, uniformed staff. Did not have any problem. This is right at the bus stand and so parking for the hotel was less but they found a spot for the car. Would recommend this hotel.

Centrally located. Check in was easy and quick. Rooms are big, clean and new. Bathroom are big size. Very close to lovers lane. We had a whole terrace to ourselves overlooking mountains. Rooms are very well insulated.2 issues - no lift so could be difficult for older people even if you need to climb only 1 floor.During our stay cards were not accepted.

It is an old hotel. But you get big room in small budget. Near small market at bust stand. You get essentials here such as mineral water, ready made eatables etc. You can have food in nearby Gurjarat hotel. Avoid inside food of the hotel. Very honest people. I left my battery bank there and it was kept intact. I collected it while on return journey.

The owner of the hotel, Mr. Chandan has been very courteous enough to talk to us. he has been very polite and has helped us to book a taxi for our holiday trip to Khajjar road, hilltop and the forest place. the best part is that the hotel is near the limits of bus stop...its just 50 meters away from bus stop. me and my wife had a good time in this hitel. overall the hotel is good to stay and also within budget.

The stay experience was pathetic. Not recommended to anyone. This hotel gave us the worst experience possible. The hotel manager as well as the owner is not curteous at all. They only know how to not accept their mistake and to shut down any complaints from the consumers. We had booked 2 rooms here for 2 nights. Its a very old property, the washrooms are unappealing, and the taps were not good enough to control the flow of hot/cold water. The tube light was fluctuating like hell. blankets were too old and smelly. We only booked this property due 2 reasons: 1) Hotel Mount View wasnt available for booking 2) Hotel Kumars was just opposite to Mount View. During our entire stay, we were ignoring the shortcomings in customer service like, 1) Being a moral consumer, We informed the hotel twice telephonically that we were reaching hotel around 9PM on check-in day because of delay on route, still, nobody bothered to be courteous and didnt even ask if we need anything to eat or drink on arrival. 2) Upon reaching in the room, there was a single kettle full of smelly dirty drinking water, which was not worth drinking. Since it was too late, we didnt have energy to even complain about the same. We instead called reception to give us a bottled drinking water. 3) Soon after, we called reception to atleast serve us a single cup of tea. (FYI: This hotel claims to have a restaurant of their own). The manager denied the service by stating that they are currently serving dinner meals. We ignored the matter and went to sleep. 4) On the evening of very next day, we were again trying to be a moral consumer and went to the manager to inform that we will check out very early in the morning of following day (just because they could have enough time to get the formalities done in time). So, the manager started searching his diaries for any pending payments at our end. After a while, We assured him that we havent ordered any food. He reminded us that we did order something, which was a bottle of water. So, we have to pay Rs. 30/- for it. We paid the amount and showed our dissatisfaction that they should atleast offer a single complementary water bottle per room to all the guests, that too when the drinking water in room is not good enough to drink and also, every other hotel offers it. Manager replied Its not in hotel policy. Soon after the owner (or whoever he was) joined the conversation and blamed us that we are showing our dissatisfaction just because we had to pay Rs. 30/- and he added that the charges of drinking water is also mentioned in menu, so we should not argue with anybody in that regards. Listening to such replies from both was literally enough to break our levels calmness which we were maintaining from Day 1. Later, 2 more customers joined us to complain about the issues with drinking water, to which the manager replied Ab sab ko support mil gya hai, isliye complain kar rhe hai. Now, you all can judge yourself the mentality of hotel staff. When we reminded the manager about the cup of tea which we were denied on our arrival, he said their staff goes to sleep at 10.30PM. We reminded him that this was not the reason he mentioned earlier. He mentioned that they are serving dinner right now. In short, it was literally not fruitful talking to any of them. The owner was stating that if there was a problem with drinking water, why hadnt we reported in earlier? (We literally reached hotel at 09PM after a travel of 350Kms and their staff was informed telephonically to arrange everything when we arrive). Its a very long story to put everything in word. The hotel later decided to offer a single drinking water bottle to our rooms, but it was too late for everything. I dont recommend this hotel to anyone....

Deluxe room was Spacious and clean. Wooden finish looks like bungalow or cottage. Must try parathas. Location is great. Geyser was bit cumbersome but Overall just great. Dalhousie is heaven on earth. Still not much commercialized, so still untouched, serene, tranquil.

The best thing about this hotel is the proximity to the bus station. Staff here is friendly and helpful. We went there in the summers, peak of holiday season. Most of the other places were unavailable. We could only secure a room here and that too at a higher price than what trip planning sites said. This place isnt any star but comfortable none the less from the viewpoint of a bunch of college going kids. They arranged for a driver to take us to nearby tourist spots, booked us tickets to get back home. They made our unplanned trip quite hassle-free.

The service provided by Mr Rohit from hotel Kumar was excellent. He was always available and very quick to help. The food served was very delicious. Once again many thanks to Rohit for his hospitality. would love to be here again.

Mattress are very bad .no one sleep proper . Water provided for drinking is dirty here . No kettle for warming milk or water. Blower is provided at extra cost . WiFi and tv works intermittently . So overall I and my friend both had a bad experience here . Prices are high given that no proper facility was there

Exorbitant price for a room for poor service. I would not recommend a stay in this hotel. There are way better rooms at hotels available right behind this hotel if one has the patience to walk a few more steps.The breakdown for the cost of a room includes a compulsory breakfast cost whether you want it or not too.

My experience in your hotel was very bad experience I ever had. Last week we were in room no. 309,310,311. The bathrooms were smelling very bad and they are so dirty. We have complained two times on reception and two times on phones because the jet was not working but there was no response to us they did not send the plumber. There were our kids also with us they were having cough so we asked for tea maker they said that they didnt have tea maker. This was the bathroom and the towels were to dirty. I will suggest that you should not book your rooms in Kumar hotel.

A lovely heritage style properly with large wooden rooms.Good Breakfast.Good for families.But unfortunately while coming back and travelling to macleodgung we was trapped by a fraud travel agent ( who also says they run buses) and faced a huge problem. In our stay we hired a car once and the next day the travel agency owner told you can avai lour buses bang opposite the hotel which will take you to dharamsala. The day when we saw the bus on the travel time it is most 3 rd graded bus, we were 3 including a child, we bought 4 seats,but when the bus left it is worst than a local train.People are seating on the floor also.We are new not aware of anything we believed the travel agency owner .They( the conducter) had dropped us with small child and luggage after crossing pathan kot in between the road,the passengers informed this bus does not go to dharamsala. While buying tickets 2 days before we also have the receipt, the owner told highly about the bus and it will take you to daramsala. Hotel should guide the guests and should have an awareness of such frauds as we are travelers and come on the faith of these hotels.We travel with our family, so there is a request for the owner, the young man( may be the owners son ) who daily sits in the office in front of the reception should at least interact with the guest to get actual feed back, we never got any travel assistance( which is reasonable travel / car hire operators etc). from your place.

Stayed for 2 days .. very near to the bus stand but about 2 km away from mall road main market ...it took around 20 mins to walk up to the market .. taxi for sight seeing can be easily hired near the hotel .. nice rooms and complementary breakfast was very good with multiple options like sandwich omelette poha aaloo/gobi paratha dahi tea coffee ..

I was surprised to see the Dirty Bed linen ; as it has been never washed and used repeatedly to the incoming guests , Also the blanket was uncovered . Hotelier did not asked for I-Card during check in and Food bill provided during check out is unauthentic and illegal ( Kaccha Bill), ...The peson doing job in the reception counter does not have friendy gesture (body language ).They are busy in doing their own job .However they listened to my complaints and tried to rectify the issues whatever possible ,. Located near Bus stand is advantage for travellers who use this convenience ...

On arrival, the room first offered was disgusting. there was foul smell of sealen wall was coming in the room, bed cover had a big dirty spot, bed sheet was dirty, pillows were yellow colored. After seeing all these, we were in mood of cancellation as it was not worth to pay 2700 bugs for such room. Even, when i asked hotel manager to provide alernative room then he had told that there is no room available. but in actual there no. of rooms were available. When hotel owner came to know the situation,he had apologise and offered another room which was on good condition but not worth of money.

This is a 3rd class hotel having 3rd grade amenities, no proper ventilation, no housekeeping please I would not suggest any one this hotel, I had booked this hotel for two nights but have to leave after 1st night. I would give zero star rating to this hotel

Worst hotel in Dalhousie, the owner has hired staff who are local goons. No doubt this hotel is empty most of the time, compare to others there. We asked few questions they were not clear on that, so we discussed among ourselves, as we were tired and decided to pay for additional service where there was no clarity & took the room. However, the guy at reception overheard our conversation where we had discussed among ourselves, a friend of mine used a phrase to end discussion if we pay their dad will also have give us service . And we went to our rooms. Later, we came down to do some shopping, the owner approached my friend and started asking Abt our conversation where we had used that phase, and started accusing him that he told that to reception guy, we explained that it was a conversation between us as the guy at reception was unable to give us clarity on things that were essential to us, coz we were experiencing such cold for first time. One of Punjabi friend got little irate and tried having conversation with owner, he accused him of being drunk and started showing tantrums for no reason, they were not at all ready to understand our situation. So we said we would like to change the hotel. We turned back & saw the reception guy & the service boy started to beat up my Punjabi friend who was little upset on everything. The owner stood there and enjoyed our guy getting beaten up, to stop the whole scene we had to apologise to reception guy and decided to change the hotel. I would just say, they want you to pay what they ask our try to scam u off. If you asked too many questions and crictise their hotel they will gang up and beat u. Owner is pathetic human being, he think he has some kind of class and standing up for what is right, what he doesnt realize that his staff manupilates him, try to scam guests, they r egoistic & cant handle being crictised.We had this bad experience in this hotel, but we switched to little expensive hotel & we could straight away find the difference of service & care. They didnt gave us opportunity to criticize & get irate. I would just say spend little more & move to better one.

Budgeted hotel.service is very prompt.Dinner and breakfast was very good.Rooms and washroom was clean, if they can add little luxury they can reach to new heights.No view of mountains from Balcony as its location does not allow any views,but overall a good experience.Parking is bit a problem as only 4-5 cars can be parked on first come first parked.
