This place memorizes all about Dr.Harekrishna Mahatab..very calm and cool place...they have library also... Timing for library is 11am to 6pm ... Every Monday and fourth Saturday of month remains closed....Most attractive thing is the historical museum...

The Swaraj Ashram at Telengabazar is synonymous with Mahatma Gandhis relationship with Odisha, Cuttack in particular. The double-storey Ashram, located opposite the banks of the Kathajodi River. was in the thick of the Non Cooperation Movement in the 1920s. This is where Gandhi stayed during his visits to Odisha. The ashram that spreads over 1100 sq ft area has been converted into a protected monument by the Government of Odisha. There are around 200 photographs in the ashram that captured Gandhis visit to Odisha beginning with the one in 1921, the first of his seven trips to Odishas 69 sites till 1946. Historians say that Cuttack was the seat of the Freedom Movement in Odisha and the Swaraj Ashram played a pivotal role in paving the way for Swaraj Movement.

Its a perfect place to know about our great leader- Mr. Mohandas K Gandhiji. An awesome person who taught us about the perfect use of non-violence, through which he chaseoff Britishers from India. Do visit this place while you are in Cuttack.

A historical place in the old Cuttack city. Its famous because Mahatma Gandhi had stayed here when he had visited Cuttack. Now it has been converted into a small library & a museum.

This is a historical place and it had lot of importance during freedom struggle of India. Freedom fighters like Utkalamani Gopandhu Das and his friend used to meet here regularly to discuss about situations and news during freedom struggle. Pandit Motilal Neheru also visited this place.
