Great to have a mediterranean style cafe / food store in Addiscombe.... decent coffee, good orange juice, plenty of bacclava!

Very bad shop on too many things to expiredI never got to there again

The place itself is somewhat inviting, with a wide array of fresh food and helpful items. However, it takes up far too much space outside and causes people to congest the area. I have nearly been overcharged here as well and I had to point this out to the cashier. It’s generally quite expensive and staff don’t seem to bother with covid regulations. Needs improvement.

Love the supply of fresh Turkish bread. The baklava counter is also tempting.

Lovely cafe attached to an excellent supermarket! The Baklava and Turkish Tea (and coffee) are really tasty and fresh. I often stop off here for a nice relaxing drink and something to eat.The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the cafe is immaculate - very clean and tidy.There is seating inside for approximately 10 people and they have a further 6-8 seats outside on the pavement (under an awning). If it’s a sunny or warm day, it’s lovely to sit outside and relax.

It looks like a small shop from the outside but inside is actually a mini supermarket. They sell fresh produce and there is a post office there as well.

If you cant get it here, it doesnt exist! Great local to me deli and food store for those who appreciate quality ingrediants and are foodies

Good store, with a promise to be great. A nice range of products, both dry and veg&fruit. The only downside is that not all the items have the prices shown. Otherwise, helpful staff and an easy layout of the shop!

The frozen products are not in good condition.They llok like the temperature chain has been broken. The fresh meat I didnt try it yet. Fresh fruits and veggies are very good.

Good coffee and cappuccino....

Such an excellent supermarket with a wide variety of items. The meat is halal and is very cleanly kept. The store has everything from organic food to fresh fruit. Then there is a cafe to one side of the shop which offers excellent Turkish coffee. To top it all off it is run by a very friendly family and you can see all family members working very hard and looking after their customers.

Fruits are not fresh stuff are rude 2 star is More than enough

Always has great food and a nice variety. This morning however there were far too many people in the store. No social distancing rules being enforced in addiscombe and people were bumping into each other. Until they introduce limits on customers in store at any one time (just like every other store seems to have) I will not be returning.

Use to be very nice place to go. And would of been a good help in lockdown no social distancing what so ever and it a small store staff did not seem to care. Staff could not seem less interested in you it a shame because when it open it was a good place and a turkish shop now it trying to be everything do one thing and be good at it.

Variety of produce available. Have a small meat counter inside store. Turkish bakery on side poviding coffee and cakes.

This shop is the best ADDITION done on Addiscombe in a while!!!It offers a variety of mediterranean foods and drinks ,all very reasonably priced.My favourite part is the little cafe inside the shop , it really makes the shop unique and it has a special charm and family feel to it.Its amusing and rare to find a place that offers freshly prepared foods (homemade) to actually taste as FRESH.Last but no least is to compliment the staff for their friendly and polite behavior.

I bought boneless chicken thighs from them. It was old and stinky. They should not be selling that. Very disappointed! Also, the prices on the shelves never match with the prices you pay on the till.

Amazing food and selection, friendly and helpful staff, open til late which is awesome for a last minute craving. Awesome value for money, surprising little finds, I would definitely recommend visiting.

I love this place. There were some teething problems when they first opened but I think they have sorted these out. The breads are amazing, sourdough that is better quality than what you can get at Waitrose for a much more reasonable price. They keep on improving as well with more seating and the store is attractive. This is the kind of place Addiscombe needed.

I love Freshco and am really pleased it is in Addiscombe but the freshness of the some of the veg is not really in keeping with the name of the shop. If they want to thrive and become part of the fabric of the community they need to make sure the fresh produce is as good as the rest of the stuff on sale there.....love the cafe, bakers and butchers and wide range of tinned and jarred produce. Sort the veg and herbs out and Ill amend this to a 5* review.

A charming local supermarket shop. They have it all here! Grocery, fresh food, butcher, bakery. Best of all is the Turkish cafe!

I visited for the first time today and will be back to do my weekly shopping from now on.A great selection of products - lots of lovely Turkish and Middle Eastern products that you cant easily find in most places (like nice Halva, olives, and then all the basics you need (big selection of pasta, rice, bulgur wheat, pulses, nuts etc...).Lots of fresh fruit and veg, presented like in a market, so no unnecessary plastic packaging, which is a big plus. Big selection of cold meats (all halal) and also a butcher section where I bought some lamb, which was very good.Also great for vegetarian, vegan, organic and gluten free (big selection of products). I didnt spot any organic fresh fruit or veg, but there might have been some, Im not sure.I loved the fact there is a cafe area - I bought a Turkish coffee and some baklava to take home. A really great addition to the neighbourhood!

Freshco is lovely place. you can find everything you want. fresh bakery, coffe shop, fresh fruit and veg, halal butcher and many grocery staff. staff are really lovely and gives you a very warm welcome. I love it.

It’s a really nice, clean supermarket with a variety of international food. It has a wide selection of vegan and organic food. They even bake their cakes freshly. You can get delicious vegan cakes or Turkish borek. They also serve traditional Turkish coffee, which tastes soooo good. I like the combination of supermarket and coffee shop, as you can shop and enjoy a cup of coffee with cake afterwards. The staff is really friendly too. I always feel welcome and like shopping there. I highly recommend this supermarket.

Good Stuff

Re Freshness this is an issue. Some of the vegetables in the shop were there weeks after it opened (ie the same batch of vegetables - Jerusalem artichokes, scotch bonnets - at one point the shop assistant was spraying them with water hoping they would come back to life!). They sell stale bread (I bought a very nice crusty French baguette one day - I went back the second day for another and it was obviously the same bread.) Theres a buttery Turkish bread that is amazing (and quite fluffy when it is fresh) and they will get one massive batch and sell it for three or four days until its hard as a board.) I picked up a pack of corn ears and they had expired over a week prior! I love the idea of the place but I often go in and walk out as I know the stuff is not fresh. PLEASE sort this out, this shop is just what Addiscombe needed. Its a new shop yes but you have to throw out unsold stock that is no longer fresh. I have wanted to buy things from you but Im not sure If I can trust that its still good so I dont.

Good fresh vegetables. Tasty turkish pides and ofcourse the cafe. But reason why I am marking as 3 stars is because i get easily lost with other stuff as the stuff in the shop is mostly turkish or written in other languages and the small english lables do not help for nee items.

Amazing store , excellent range of fresh fruit and veg IT ALSO HAS AN ORGANIC SECTION TOOOOOOO which is amazing , it is very well priced and has brilliant customer service especially from the younger adult workers they are very kind . I would recommend this shop over any Tescos or sainsburys
