Amazing atmosphere and both the staff who served us Solomon and Christopher were both awesome and loved their job and made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They are a credit to your team. Food was delicious and just the right spice. Was our 1st time but definitely not the last.
Went to this place in August 2020. Due to Covid they had removed the machine, where you put your reg for the carpark. After I received a PCN. Called up and they took care of everything for me. Got a reminder, they took care of everything for me again.Today I received a letter with a court claim! Very nice that more than a year later it’s still not taken care of!
Had a dinner on Sunday , the ambience and service was so good and since we went as a couple Mr Rony lighted a candle on our table to have candle light dinner experience.
Travelled to the area with a football team on a busy Saturday. Could not have been more accommodating and helpful. Huge venue catering for all. Great food and service.
Excellent Indian food. Garden could do with a tidy up. Good service.
Love the Greyhound, its our local.Fantastic Curry, and superb ambience.Friendly staff.Highly recommended
Went with a large group, so the star rating is based on that as I feel that the environment is better for a large group. Having said that I do intend to go back with my partner. Particular points to mention: the menu says that any traditional accompaniment can be provided, I was able to order sag aloo, which wasnt on the menu. All the food was of reasonable/good quality, but I especially enjoyed the Tawa chicken masala and peshwari naan. Friendly service, reasonably priced. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised.
Visited for the Euro Final – Have to say, super experience, lovely people – exceptionally accommodating.Food decent - Thanks Team GH.
Very nice place to visit. Staff were friendly. But I havent tried the food yet only drinks.
THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED ! 😡We had a bitter experience today, the first time ever in any restaurant. We were served papadum and chutneys in plastic takeaway dishes. When we requested for spoons, the waiter, Mr. Patel, argued it is COVID time and hence they do not supply spoons and adds - you eat pappadum dipped in the chutney with your hands. Ha, ha! You don’t teach an Indian how to eat papadum. We understand it was a busy Saturday evening, but even our starters were not ready even after more than an hour of placing the order. After repeatedly trying to get the waiters’ attention in vain, We were told they were just getting cooked! No explanation or apologies were offered by any of the staff. When we expressed our dissatisfaction and wanted to see the manager, the waiter, the same Mr. Patel said there was no manager for the evening, and he even had the audacity to show the exit door and said ‘ that’s the way to exit’. This was the last straw. We will never ever recommend this restaurant to any one.The management has to understand they should value customers to keep the service afloat. The likes of Mr. Patel have to learn basics of courtesy and customer service , if this pub has to remain popular.
Quality pub restaurant in Crawley..Spacious..Good food and great atmosphere.
Ridiculously rude staff. Waited for 2 hours for my food which was delivered stone cold. After calling the restaurant we were told that the food cannot be cold and that we were lying. And that if you order you should wait. No apology nothing. Never going to order from here.
Everything starting from chaat to main course was real taste of delhi. Loved it. The main issue was quantity served was too less.
Nice clean friendly pub with good quality food. Plenty of TVs presumably for sports. Will be back. 👍
Went here before the trip home, was absolutely a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is really nice, it isnt some dingy pub in the middle of nowhere. They have parking, and a very wide selection of drinks.Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very pleasant and polite waitress/bar lady.We ordered the nachos starter for one, to share between the three of us, and added the pulled pork, and that was fantastic. You dont get any guacamole, but there is Soured cream. The amount of cheese was also decent, I have a problem with a lot of places not having enough cheese on nachos. We were a little too lazy to look through the Indian menu however, its a bit too long and disorganised. We asked our waitress for a recommendation and all got the same meal, the chicken tikka nanwhich. Its basically a giant, Indian wrap. Its served with some lovely yoghurty minty dip, which we ordered more of. That was an amazing wrap, I almost managed half of it, but the guys ploughed through with ease. It was inexpensive, I think £8 for that main, and really, really worth it.They were also happy to accommodate for my strange request (some garlic) to make garlic mayo for our sweet potato fries. Those fries were really good too, simple, but full of flavour and with a lovely crispness.Highly recommended this place. The service was amazing, and the food was really good.
Lovely food but very slow service.
Lovely place! Great food too
Always a fantastic experience here, great food and Pete and Gail are wonderful hosts.
Lovely staff lovely food. Try the curried goat. :)
Never have I needed to go for a drink after work more than I did today. You were my Oasis in the desert and you looked after us fantastically
Best bhaji ever!Unreal food, would recommend to a friend.
Attentive staff but some wore masks as chin straps which wasnt great. Food average. Probably wouldnt go back.
Is good service ,hotel staff is so friendly and food is very yummy
Excellent food and a good selection of beers, well worth searching out.
Great Indian food with good service. Good outdoor space for food and drinks
Great Takeaway. I asked for something I couldnt find on the online menu and made a comment to the chef about it, they provided it free of charge!!! When delivered we had a dish missing and called them, but they sent the driver back out immediately with it. Cant fault them. Excellent service.
Waited 1.5 hours for the food. Service was not great. Portion sizes were quite small and the servers did not even bother to tell us that. Food wasnt that tasty either.
Great food and service.
Really good curry.
Food was slow in coming, but good. Mistakes in the drinks order which needed sorting, but issue was resolved quickly.
Good atmosphere, great food, decent prices 👍
Great curry, highly recommended.
As always, great service and great food.
Have visited here and eaten a few times. Not a very exciting pub. The food is alright vut prices are way too high, plus 4 quid delivery less than a mile away is a rip off. Will probably not use again.
Nice place, nice food, great people. I enjoyed my food. It was very tasty. 4 stars as it is a bit pricey and only my favourite curry house gets 5 stars. The staff were all very friendly and overall the whole experience was very enjoyable despite the covid restrictions forced upon restaurants at the moment. I hope they survive lockdown number 2. Will definitely visit again.
Good service and excellent food.
Lovely food and friendly staff
Was here all day for the British and World Championship Marbles competition. Did not have a good experience to the point where I was really uncomfortable staying inside the pub, so had to stand out in the cold. During which time someone in the pub stole a trophy that had been left on a shelf behind some tables, where it really should have been safe. £5.50 for a plain burger from a cafe style servery, being ignored for ages by barstaff when needing to communicate with them urgently... Not a good experience at all.
First time visitor this evening and I will definitely be returning. The food was absolutely delicious. Very Covid secure. Very impressed with the whole experience. Thank you.
Amazing food. Exceptional service from Rajput.Love it.Best Indian restaurant 😋 👌
Good setup and lovely food
Ive been to this place couple of times. Tastewise the food is great.. The Eat out Help out program makes it even more attractive.. Good place for celebrations as well...
Overpriced took to long to serve drinks and food
Nice place for Indian food
The is no othe place in Crawley for real Indian food. The place is clean and the staff are very helpful. I would recommend the Grey Hound Pub
Food was fresh and tasty. Great atmosphere even for families. Staff were very nice and friendly. Attentive to your requests. Service was quick even though bust. Would definitely recommend. All round lovely
VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!From start to finish, the customer service was awful very rude on the phone, waited over an hour and a half for an expensive disappointing plate of food.will not be returning and would not recommend.RIP OFF!!!!
Very very very sloooooow. Takes them half an hour to come round to get the order...
Really good, staff was amazing, food was delivered fast and was very very nice, recommend this place.
Well Im atonished! We are staying in the hotel opposite, which highly recommends the greyhound, I called earlier in the day and was told to arrive at 9pm, as they were fully booked before this. My husband arrived before me and was told to sit outside, it took 30 minutes to receive a drink, I arrived and still by 10pm we were sat in the garden freezing, awaiting a table inside, when I went in to ask what was happening, I was ignored and then told other people were waiting before me. We have come back to our bnb room hungry, as its to late to eat anywhere else. very disappointed!
Booking in procedure in place, name, number ,car registration, temperature taken. Very easy, very quick. Ordered what we needed from the app, which was delivered to our table. Excellent service, really helpful, friendly staff.
Lovely place just a long process with covid rules. From start to finish for a quick pint I was there around an hour.
Had the chefs special butter chicken curry, add your spice, it was amazing 👏
Wow went there today for a late lunch with my mum and dad, first impression very nice and clean greeted straight away. Then the food came everything we ordered was nothing but amazing the best Indian Ive probably ever had. Id give the food 6 stars if I could well done to the owner and we will definitely be coming back
Great food as always.
Chaos and mayhem. I went with my friends and family to try out something new, as we usually go to Parsons Pig.The covid measures are excellent and I felt safe in that senseTo the food. Starters was great, mains was a big let down as they got it wrong twice, so gave up and left.Staff were friendly but all over the place. No sense of organisation for what is a good size pub.
Lovely food. Is very busy due to the new covid deal but worth the wait
Amazing food, and they were extra clean and careful due to Covid.
Lovely food, friendly staff. Will definitely return and wouldnt hesitate to recommend.
Great food and a good range of drinks. A jewel of a pub
Very nice restaurant with great food...!!Just wish it was spicier than what was served...!!Definitely recommend this restaurant....!!
Great food and great atmosphere again. Pind Punjabi never dissapoints. We come a long way from South to eat here. Definitely keep coming back here.
Well organised, with plenty of friendly staff and the food was great. It was busy but they had it all under control and the refurbishment of the restaurant is lovely.
If they can’t manage the crowd, they need to say no to any new people coming in their restaurant to dine. We waited 2.5 hours for our meal and left without eating when we were told it will take another 20 mins for the second time. There’s a bald guy in the restaurant, maybe manager or the owner, he acts like a rude boy and treated us that he was in a for some fight when we’re just leaving with massive anger and annoyance.
Went here today, for early dinner, and the food was out of this world.🤗The tastes, flavours, and presentation was amazing, and the staff were all superb!!! Thank you for a lovely dining experience and the refurb of your venue is amazing. Happy New Year everyone.
We went for my husbands birthday , the food was ok but the staff weren’t very friendly at all. We waited ages for a drink and somebody to take our order. Not very impressed at all.
One of the pubs run by the ubiquitous Asian extended family that also run the Grasshopper and The Downsman. Recently refurbished, a pub I always quite liked is now brighter, and more welcoming than ever. I know from experience that these people do a varied menu, but yes I recommend the Indian style dishes. Just enjoy!
Felt very uncomfortable when entering. I know covid rules have to be adhered but no warm welcome and felt like a crinamal!! Sat at table for 20 minutes before I was told you had to get someones attention to get a drink.Took our order for food, popudums and and starters came up all at the same time and main meal was there as our starters were being cleared! Asked if I could have a chicken and prawn biryani but was told no even though it says on the bottom of the menu to ask!! How hard can it be?... Food was good but no customer care. Second time weve been now. Not again Im afraid. 😔😔
You wouldnt guess it judging from the outside but this pub has some of the most sensational curry ive ever had.The chilly chicken is quite frankly legendary and not to be missed.A must for Currie connoisseurs.
Great service
Nice experience
The Lamb Chops Starter were amazing. Full of Flavour and Highly Spiced. Made a change from the usual bland starters you typically find on a menu. I opted for something different in regards to a main dish. Normally its a chicken Jalfrezi. But instead I had the Goan Fish Curry, and asked for it spicy... It was absolutely delicious served with Steamed Rice.... Will certainly be going back when next in the area. An added bonus, they had Sky Sports on in the bar area, which also had tables for eating. Curry and Football.. Whats not to like
It is a very different Indian food experience in that there are things on the menu that you wont get elsewhere .I would have given a 3 but that might suggest the food was iffy, so its a 4. The star loss is down to the decor which needs a good update.Definitely worth a visit tho to experience a slightly different Indian cuisine.
Service was little slow but the food was really good.
Great concept. Delicious Indian food. Owner warm and welcoming. Place needs a little brightening up in terms of decor but food makes up for that. Will definitely return when next in the neighbourhood.
Without doubt one of the best Indian meals I have had, and Ive had a lot.Very friendly staff whom I owe a big thank you to. I left my bag with all my money, passports, the works and they saw it and kept it behind the counter for me.Thank you.
Terrible service atleast in the government schemes going on. Waited 2.5 hours with no sign of our food and constant lies that food will be available in 20 minutes. Also there’s a bald guy who is extremely rude to customers instead of being apologetic for the insanely long wait. If you don’t have enough staff or capacity please refuse customers- people would appreciate being turned down rather than staying hungry for that long!
Very noisy, drab appearance in dining hall, slow service, food was dissapointing! Our first time and last visit!
Very good customer service and nice staff.Food was very tasty and well cooked. Car parking spaces are enough.
Brilliant food as always. Never disappointed with quality of the food..Rony was really good waiter. Thank you. Definitely recommend
There is outdoor garden seating, tables are far apart to keep social distance and also indoor tables. Food was good, the service was good too, just a bit slow due to busy restaurant.
Just got back from a lovely evening meal with the family, the pub has had a revamp and couldnt wait to go in for dinner, the atmosphere was great and the food was even better. Nice people nice pub and great food
After refurb....and lockdown....very nice place....nice new staff
Excellent!
All I can say is wow. Usually I try and check out local India food spots and they are typically good...but this one takes the cake! Affordable, delicious, and the atmosphere was fantastic. This restaurant is the trifecta. The food was served on warm plates, there was no rush to move or eat quickly, and my gosh it was perfectly aromatic. The price was incredible. We paid 50£ for 3 meals (lunch, dinner, and probably breakfast again). We also ordered ciders which we though would drive the price up, but it really didnt. If youre staying at Gatwick or even if youre anywhere near London you NEED to check out the Greyhound. Its 30-40 minutes by foot from the airport and foot paths all the way.Anytime I am in London I am coming here. Pictures to follow!
Ordered curries for 5. The first ordered was an aubergine curry which was acknowledged and read back to us. When we got home with the order it wasnt here, so called to be told we hadnt been billed for it. Our issue wasnt the billing it was the fact we had ordered it and one of us was going without. 20 minutes later and went in to collect the curry (after everyone else had finished) and didnt receive an apology, but when I queried it I was told they can get orders wrong because when its busy they struggle to hear. Cant understand how that can be an excuse in this day and age - dont take phone orders if you cant hear your customers!!
Ligma balls
Amazing food... friendly staff... lovely environment to dine... great for big family/friends gatherings... make sure you ask for chefs specials... off the menu 🤗
Great food. Very attentive and quick service. Shows sport in the pub which may not be for everyone but was definitely appreciated by myself.
Reserved a table for 4 from open table. We had a bad experience from the start. The ceiling light was flickering, service was super slow... seems like they are short staffed. We got our food after an hour of ordering. Food was good but disappointed by its service. Thought it would be better after the refurbishment.
Loved it
