Booked in to see Dr, Glen Croft as a new patient since we just moved into the area. Arrived on time and was told to take a seat, no mention if there were any delays or emergencies. After waiting for 40min I asked the front desk how much longer it would be. Got a youre nextanswer. No customer service of any sort, could have told me it might be a slight wait and I could have prepared myself. Waited another 1/2 hour and had to leave since had other business to attend to. Went up and told the front desk I had to leave, please cancel the appointment. They were... Oh ok, Ill let the doc know. No sorry for the wait, or would you like to rebook or anything.The doctors might be great here but the front desk is enough for me to look elsewhere.

The reception staff were considerate and friendly both on the phone when booking the appointment and when I arrived at the clinic - on first impressions I was feeling comfortable that I had found a new doctors surgery closer to home than my current GP.However, after the appointment with one of your doctors this changed quite drastically. Ive never felt so belittled by a GP before - his manner was very condescending towards my concerns. I was caught so off guard by his manner that as I was close to tears, I decided it was best at that point not to advise your reception staff of the poor treatment Id received.In addition, although Id waited a considerable amount of time over my allocated appointment time to be finally seen by the doctor, there was no simple apology for the delay. I do understand this happens working in the health industry myself and many times its out of the practitioners control; however, I also understand basic consideration for peoples time and a simple genuine apology isnt hard. This probably wouldnt bother me as much had my wait been for a doctor who showed a level of care that all patients deserve.Disappointing that I was treated completely the opposite to what your website says about care, commitment and compassion; and when Ive approached your Practice Manager to request for a refund based on not receiving the service that your website promises, this has been declined.We all have enough to take on in life every day and we go to health professionals to help ease that burden not heighten it.

After some really horrible GP experiences when my son was first born I was so pleased to have found Dr Dowsett at Como GP. She was friendly, professional, actually listened to me and gave great advice. Plus they bulk billed which for me as a single parent was wonderful.However after going in recently to have an injury looked at (and without any warning whatsoever,) I was charged for a consult. I queried this to reception, explaining that i was under the assumption I was bulk billed. Upon talking to Dr Dowsett next i was informed that its up to the doctor to charge or bulk bill as they choose. And that she could not tell me whether i would continue to be bulk billed or not. I explained that finances are extremely tight and i would have to switch doctors if this was the case.She agreed to bulk bill me once more to give me the results of a scan on my injury.After this most recent phone call i most definitely will not be returning to Como GP.As soon as Dr Dowsett found out i could not pay for consults her attitude completely changed. Gone was the friendliness and smile, instead i was made to feel awful for even making this last consult.I was repeatedly guilted for not being willing to pay and just generally made to feel really bad.I actually just feel like crying at the thought of this experience.I would advise Como GP to be upfront about their charging policies and perhaps try to have some basic communication about it... and please dont make patients feel bad because they are poor.It’s honestly disgusting.If someone had explained this to me at the start i would have simply picked another doctors to attend.A shame as a few of the other doctors weve seen (when had to attend last minute) have been lovely.

Great medical advice but always continually behind schedule (average time was 45min to 1hour). We stopped going to this clinic as too hard for our children to be in waiting room for long periods of time.

Waiting time of well over an hour for a blood test. No apologies or explanations. Seems to be the practice that runs off continual delays at the expense of their patients’ time.

Just go to the pharmacy for a flu vaccine.Got a text about $10 flu vaccine so went there to get one and the Dr suggested that I should get it later, closer to winter time where its peak flu season and I agreed so I told him Ill get it later. He then told me that I have to pay for the consultation because I didnt get the vaccine so I got the vaccine anyway because I dont want to be charged for consultation fee the next time I try to get the vaccine but I still have to pay for the consultation fee even though when I made the booking I clearly ask for vaccination. Shouldve just gone to the pharmacy. Wont be coming back to this place again.
