I had been wanting to go into Prologue Bookshop for a while, but their limited capacity during the pandemic kept me away. Now that I finally went in, it was worth the wait! Its larger than I expected and makes good use of its space. Theres a lot of variety and the atmosphere is calming. Most importantly, the staff seemed very knowledgeable and friendly.

Beautiful small bookstore in the Short North area of of High. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the book stock was a good mix of new titles and older. I did not pick up anything on this day, but enjoyed my browse time and will return soon!

Small so you dont get overwhelmed, notecards on shelves give book recs from workers that feel very personal. Book shelves have lots of diverse writers. I finished a book for the first time in years. This place made me fall in love with reading again.

Prologue and its staff are wonderful! The staff works diligently to complete orders and help customers. I ordered books from Prologue thinking that I would stay in Columbus for the holidays, but then plans changed and they were kind enough to ship my books to Virginia. I cannot speak highly enough of their customer service not to mention their amazing inventory on shelves and the ability to order other books through their website.

Wonderful selection of childrens books.

Prologue is smaller than certain other bookshops in Columbus, but it is such a well curated shop that it doesn’t matter that there aren’t as many books. I actually prefer the small shop, as it’s less overwhelming than larger bookshops in town. They also host great events (such as monthly book trivia) and are home to several different book clubs. Highly recommend if you’re in town and want to support small business!

Prologue Bookshop was a really cute and cozy spot complete with reading nook and friendly service. My friend and I had lunch at condado and were able to walk a few minutes down the street to Prologue and then walk another few minutes for dessert. Yes books are pricier here versus online retailers but its worth it to support your local indie bookstore.

Staff were all helpful and everyone was wearing masks and social distancing.

I placed an online order that was delayed due to events outside the store’s control. The owner offered to deliver the books to me himself to make up for the delay (in Columbus). Prologue goes the extra mile to ensure their customers are happy. Support local!

I recommend Prologue so so highly. There is such a wonderful energy here that spreads from the selection to the staff to the great programming and events. I never hesitate to stop in when Im in the Short North, and frequent here for myself and for gifts for others.
