Saw a post on a Facebook sandwich connoisseurs group that they had amazing Italian subs. The sub didn’t disappoint. Perfectly toasted bun and generous amount of meat. It was one of the best I’ve had! If you’re in the area I highly recommend stopping in!

First time. Come on a recommendation from a friend. Yep. Ill be back. Best dang Italian sub in Clintonville, and Ill go with possibly the best in Columbus. Great bread, perfect amount of meats, fresh onions added flavor, not too much oil dripping all over the place. Yummy. And the cup of chili... Wow. Do it. Then do it again.

I now see why so many of my coworkers sing praises for India Oak Grill. I got myself a Italian sub and it was exactly what I was looking for. I cant wait to go back and try other things. They have burgers, hot dogs, flatbreads, and I hear the chili is fantastic, and who doesnt love a good bowl of chili. Ill update again once I try more of their menu. But from what Ive had and heard, this place is 🔥, and you need to get on over there if you havent yet.

Have had drinks, watched live music, ordered takeout here. Couple of subs (you’ll be more than full if you eat the whole thing), normally any variation of the Italian (got the Louie II tonite) and a salad, ordered ahead and picked up is the norm for a Thursday or Friday night dinner for us once or twice a month. Sure it’s an old school bar, some would describe as a “dive” in other reviews. It has character. Very nice patrons and staff. Check it out. It’s worth it.

They have great subs but unfortunately none of the patrons in the bar wears a mask. That has no reflection on the food or the service otherwise a good place but I wish COVID guidelines were followed. Working mans bar

By far the best sub in Columbus. I also had the Oak burger, WOW... what flavor, the juiciest of burgers with melted cheese, bacon, an egg....oh it is heaven.

If you like Italian subs then this is the best place in Columbus to get one. Its a local dive bar located down the end of Oakland Park. If you didnt know it was there youd miss it. DONT MISS THIS PLACE. Food is great, atmosphere is great, plenty of bar seating and booths. Fantastic selection of canned and bottle beers as well as liquor. They have a rotating draft selection. Come and experience what Clintonville is all about.

Decent food for decent prices! We had nachos, I had a veggie burger, my partner had the Oak burger. The menu seemed a little limited. Emphasis here is more on the bar, I think. If youre into the dark, old-fashioned bar atmosphere with sports and bad cable on multiple TVs, then this is the place for you. Just not for me.

Food was wonderful as usual. The only reason for only four stars was there wasnt enough wait staff for the customers (very popular). Had to wait for food and the bill.

India Oak Bar and Grills subs are phenomenal!! Best in Ohio!! We stopped in a few nights ago, enjoyed the band! The cook Hillary stopped by with a wonderful appetizer for us, the nachos! YUMMY! Followed by these wonderful, juicy, tasty Italian subs from the tall young man in the bandana, who was just as nice as Hillary! Our waiter was sweet as well! Wonderful staff! Loved the atmosphere, the band AND THE FOOD! Cant wait to bring my son in a few weeks once hes home from Chicago! Such a lovely experience.

The BEST subs in Columbus. Not fancy - at all - but so good. I dont eat meat so have only had the veggie along with their coleslaw (also good). Friends say their club is the best too. Also a great beer selection and friendly service. The only downside is that you typically have to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke to get inside. Its a divey bar though so cant really complain.

I left a review earlier, but I didnt!! It was 3 stars, when India Oak is a 5 star place and one of my favorite places in town! I have no idea how that review was posted, so Im here to edit it. Hillary and Mike are fantastic and the food and drinks are always great!! We love India Oak!

Great hole in the wall place. Food is great and awesome beer selection. Only complaint is theres a woman who served me my food both times was just very rude. She came over with the subs we ordered and said Two subs? We said yes and she proceeded to get upset that we didnt know which was which like who ordered which ones. Which wasnt at all fair cause they look exactly the same from the outside. Then she set them down and stormed off saying Come on guys! Very angrily. Honestly ruined my first visit. Decided to give it another try really was having a good time then something similar happened with the food being delivered. Not sure why this woman acts the way she does but its really unnecessary and impolite. I will keep coming back because I love the bartenders, beer selection, and ambiance just wish this lady who serves the food would adjust her attitude especially since she works in food service.

This place would definitely fall into the category of dive bars. That being said, I went for lunch with people from work. It was an interesting experience. The food was pretty good for cheap bar food. It just felt more like somewhere I shouldnt go when its still light out. I knew that going in though but wanted to try the food. Just dont go here expecting somewhere fancy and youll have a good time.

Im a band member that played here. Easy load in, good sized stage, the crowd liked our stuff, wait staff is cool, and they had a really good IPA on tap. You cant really top that as a club-playing band. I havent had their subs yet but I heard theyre fantastic. Also, theres a $50 band tab from the start so if youre a 3 or 4 piece band, you can drink responsibly, mind you for free until you hit the magic number of $50.

The classic dive bar. While it would be enough to just serve a cheap High-Life, this place has the best Italian Sub in Clintonville. They work out of a tiny kitchen but the subs are awesome. You can usually find a band playing on the weekend, they are usually your Dad’s age, but it’s always a friendly and welcoming crowd.

Nice neighborhood bar with liimited menu, but everything very good.. especially the Italian Sub and homemade soups. Good drink prices keep us making the 25 mile drive.

Its a nice little bar/restaraunt with booths. Quick service. Very casual. Stage for a live band. Heat lamps outside on the patio. I didnt try any of their food.

I was told they had good subs, and I was not disappointed with the Italian sub. I would have to say it was the top 3 I have had so far. Menu was small which in my opinion is a good thing, and just had the basic grill selection (subs, burgers, etc.). I will be stopping by again to try some of their other menu items. Very good beer selection.

Stopped in on a warm fall weekday afternoon (2 pm) to meet a friend on the patio. Not too many customers. Ordered a beer and a sub. Waitress brought the bottle of beer...no glass. Had to get up and get it myself. Sub arrived 20 minutes later. Average sub. Then a female patron sitting at the next table began a full volume, foul-mouth tirade against her ex that would have made a hardcore rap group blush. Lasted five minutes...loud and vile. After an hour, Im ready to leave but the waitress has no idea what we ordered so she cant find my bill. I dont know...guess its just a two star place.

Definitely a neighborhood bar. In the afternoon the patrons (age 50+) all know each other, in the evening the age range shifts to a younger crowd. Food is limited but good.

Such a nice little place. We were in town for an event and just dropped by, but if we were local Id absolutely hang out here. Good food and cheerful staff, and we got our food quickly. I d recommend it, and I hope we get back again soon!

I try to limit my negative reviews, but this place deserves it. The staff is beyond rude. If you get their attention at all, they proceed to take your money quickly, then forget to get you your order for about ten to fifteen minutes, but only after they accuse you of attempting to steal from them very loudly to the whole bar.(You had all this time to take your food out then come back...) Then after physically pointing out your order to them still sitting there, they quietly tell you they forgot and its busy as if to say I should to apologize to them for being so demanding while they actually have to work. Pretty sure this place is trendy enough to not miss my business, but I certainly will not miss their service. Maybe rude is trendy...
