We buried our beloved aunt today, the staff was so loud and we could hear them laughing the entire time in the hallway while we attempted to have service. I had to get out of my seat during the service and ask them to be quiet. They did, for about 20 minutes and then the noise started again. My family used this funeral home for my dad and a few other family members, today will be the last time.

They put the Ghe in GHETTO. If you want no welcome from the front desk come here. If you want the loud sound of staff laughing outside of the door during a service come here. If you want staff opening the door as if they are impatient come here. No one should have to ask staff to quiet down. Its disrespectful and unprofessional.

Bostick-Tompkins Funeral Home did a 5-star job helping me bury my father. I told them I was hard to please and everyone ensured me that everything would be perfect. It was beyond my expectations! I am forever grateful for their services and kindness they showed during one of the most horrific times of my life. Thank you!

Do not send your loved ones to Bostick and Tompkins.. We decided to have my mother cremated with a viewing .. the only thing they told us about the viewing is it will be from 12-2... I walked into the viewing only to find my mother in a storage closet, on top of something that looks like a box with a sheet across her... The closet had dirty walls, with a mop and broom in the corner, and it was dark... They tried to say they told us thats what a viewing is... They never told us that... Who would agree to having your mom in a closet on a box or table? No one! Just because we chose to cremate my mother does not mean we dont care,or they can just do whatever they want! I love my Mother! They surely found out I love my mother that day! Once they seen we were not going for it they tried to say that they were not finished... So they corrected it and placed her in a nice casket in an actual viewing room. . Something they should have done in the beginning.. .So if you ever use this company make sure they explain every detail... And if you are going to cremate your love one make sure they still treat them with respect. .because that is an image I will never forget !

I would like to commend the entire staff on their professionalism, care and love shown to families in their time of need. Basically for the last 2 weeks I have been here with family and friends. For 2 of the services I did the details and arrangements. Anything I needed or asked for they provided me with. They went above and beyond to make sure all needs were met! I just cant thank you enough. It was not just one person, but everyone who assisted me in some manner that we are truly grateful for. God bless you all!

I would give them a half a star but its not worth it we paided for a casket but my grandmother was being cremated so we got a refund felt as if the man was giving us the run around when we kept asking where is our love one it took them a week to tell us they lost her like how do Yu lose a human being really but like I said I dont recommend no one going here they money hungry and the lady in the office always have an attitude the whole place need to be shut down frfr. I wouldnt recommend someone hurrying a bird off the street at that place honestly !

This funeral home is TERRIBLE! They recently handled my step mom’s funeral. First off, the day of the wake, we were told for the family to be there from 12-2.... we didn’t get in the room with the body until 1 because they were still doing her hair 😑. The day of the funeral, we went to the burial site and the hole was not dug up! We were told go have our repass and return at 5pm for the burial. It was currently 2pm. My step mother’s obituary was also not published on their website. Never send your loved ones to this place! They are unorganized and they drop the ball way too many times for it to be considered a mistake!

They handled my father in law funeral. They failed to provide a valuable source of information about listing blended families on the program which they clearly knew would be a problem in Probate Court. This caused a setback for our family in Probate Court which could have been avoided. This could have been a costly situation but we managed to get it worked out. After speaking to several of my friends, I was told that the funeral homes they used made sure they were well informed on how to list blended families in a way that would not be a problem when they went to Probate Court. The services itself was handle ok, but because they didnt inform our family properly on this issue, I had to give them one star. I Would not want this to happen to other families. We contacted the funeral home and questioned why they didnt tell us and they were very unprofessional and had a nasty attitude. They received their money so at that point they didnt care. Our family will not use Bostick Tompkins Funeral home again! These people are getting paid a lot of money and families lean on their services for advice and when they are not guided in the right direction beyond handling the services, it can be costly for the families.

From the ceremony to the family car to advertisements; Very nice. One ovbserved as the best in South Carolina, and I am from Texas. 1. For my mothers wake they put her on a slab and not a casket.2. They gave us her ashes in a black box and not the beautiful blue urn we purchased.I would not recommend this place to anyone. They are very rude and take advantage of vulnerable people.
