Very poorly maintained. Half of the interactive exhibits do not work. The lawns are all overgrown with grass that is taller than a 5 year old kid. There are things that look like water features in the garden, but obviously they dont work, either. The person in charge of this mess needs to take some responsibility. Since they havent bothered with the upkeep of the place, it is natural that they havent bothered with providing any parking space for the hapless visitors. You need to park on the roadside.The tickets as in March 2020 cost 55/- per adult and 45/- per kid. There wasnt any separate charge for photography using mobile phone.The ticket price includes three places you can visit: 1.science center ( the place where the aforementioned exhibits reside), 2. A 3-D show and 3. Planetarium. The content of the 3D show is something that apparently was designed when 3D technology was invented, it does look very old. wasnt impressive at all. The planetarium was the worst of the lot. It wasnt a planetarium at all. They have just blown up a big balloon inside which you have to enter and sit while a man shows some images from a slide projector ( yes a slide projector that makes a clik-clack sound when you change slides, like the one you see in movies from 1970s, thats how bad this is) and talks while the bellow from the blower thats trying to keep the balloon inflated drowns his voice out.The only redeeming feature was the people: the lady who was at the ticket counter, and the very aged security people who tried their very best to make us comfortable.

A place must to visit by school children. Lot of models explaining the basics of science and general knowledge are available. Can understand how some of the common things we used to see in everydays life are really working. Common people can also make a visit to improve their knowledge. Only drawback is not maintained properly. If someone can guide the visitors, it will be more useful.

Looks good. Well maintained. A lot to learn if you can spend 2-3hrs there. Lot of rooms were there. I read about foucault pendulum in books but first time I saw it there. A room is there called how things work where they show how daily things work how science is involved in them. Nice if you can show your children the way things work. I didnt find any instructor there. May be under staffed. But well maintained. Can be added to the list of your visits in coimbatore.

Good place. Kids love this place. Some exhibits needs to be maintained properly. There is a play area with swing and some exhibits. Outside there are some eateries. Parking can be done only in the roadside or ground. Nearby Schools can arrange for a half a day trip for their students.

The Regional Science Centre at Coimbatore developed by National Council of Science Museums with the active support of Tamilnadu Science & Technology Centre (TNSTC), Govt. of Tamilnadu, was dedicated to the people and handed over to the Govt. of Tamil Nadu on July 13, 2013, by Smt. Chandresh Kumari Katoch, Hon’ble Union Minister of Culture, Govt. of India. The Science Centre, with a built up area of 4000 sq. mtr., houses three permanent galleries, namely ‘Hall of Textile’, ‘How Things Work’ and ‘Fun Science’ and a temporary exhibition hall. It also has 3D film show facility, Inflatable Dome Planetarium, air-conditioned Auditorium with audio-visual equipment, Science Demonstration corner, Children’s Activity corner, Library, Telescope for sky observation and other public facilities.

Great place to bring your kids to, rather than movies....since people prefer sci-fi over actual science, you wont have to be in a crowd.... When I visited on a Sunday afternoon, they turned the power on just for me.... You might spend almost a couple of hours if youre there for the full tour.

I went with my kids. Seriously everyone must visit not only to learn the laws of science practically, but also to know about our Indian cultures. We need one full day to see there.Before this visit, science was nightmare to me also. But, the way explained in planatorium is very interesting. Only thing, during summer, we cant roam in outdoor park as it is too hot to roam. But all the outdoor equipments are very interesting. All must visit once atleast.

Very nice place with lots of interactive displays, nice to spend a couple of hours. Children will definitely benefit.But the place can Definitely be better maintained. 3d show is ok (glasses are blurry), but the planet show is shown only if minimum 15-20 people are there.... the park outside is not maintained... some displays are broken/ not working.Small canteen with tea n packaged snacks available. Carry your water bottle inside, fans are not switched on, it is stuffy inside.With better maintenance, will be excellent!👍🏻

Very poor maintenance. Majority of the Equipments are not working properly. The textile section display s and controls not working. Science section exhibits gone bad or malfunction. The park is poorly maintained. The science experiments in the park are in very bad shape. Need a big overhaul of the museum to attract the people. No one here to explain the complex concepts to the kids.Whats fun in a science museum where the exhibits doesnt work properly.

Mini Planetarium is available here. detail description with demo and models for Know about Textile technology. 3D theater was nice experience for not only kids. lot of science working models for kids learn by playing. Maintenance was good.

No staff available to explain, but if you know basic science you can go and explain to your children. Government should advertise and spend money to maintain well. But it is good for Childers studying high school to understand concept.

Good place to visit with your kids. They have textile, space, basic science experiments, 3D theatre, motor parts, etc. 20% of products are in not working condition. They have lot of space, govt. has to take steps to improve it.

Though I could see 4ppl employed to keep this place sparkling clean but the exhibits are in sorry state. I visited last year and could see most of the exhibits working but this year it has become worst, nothing works. The organisation should step up, probably visit their places like Hyderabad or Bangalore to get some inspiration.

Good but needs staff committmentIntention by the government is really commendable. Tax payers money, planners effort (undoubtedly unique) has been poured in. Very valuable space has been allotted. Families need such places of outing for children too. Being closer to Codissia Exhibition grounds, this short stretch of road sees one of the highest number of footfalls. But one can see how the apathy of government staff can ruin good things. We could see the workmen not bending down to clean and spruceup. The incharge himself has not turned up for duty. I would say .....There is no feeling for the state or country by the staff. Coimbatore city commisioner and collector should visit with their family and children. May be the place will improve after that!

Must visit for kids in coimbatore and around. They conduct programs and fortnightly telescope viewing of celestial objects, great initiative... dont go thinking of science centres in Bangalore or so. An under utilised resource.. People should make you of this

Nothing great. More than half of the displayed interactive set pieces were not working on our day of visit(12.05.2019). Science show was cancelled and the 3D show was third grade. Waste of time and money.
