Hits the spot (: the staff are Korean so the food tastes authentic with generous portion sizes. Service was great too. I had the 잡채 $17.50 and 계란찜 $7.50. Would have loved to try their stews and pancakes - I’ll return for that next time !

Went for first time a week ago. So good Ive already gone back and taken others to experience it.Staff and very friendly and welcoming. Food is delicious and speedy coming out. Portion sizes are perfect and cheap for the size.The only down side is that credit cards have a small surcharge - this wont be stopping me from going back again.

Good food and big portions so be careful not to over-order! We had the stew ($50) and the seafood pancake ($24) and it was too much food for two people, so we had to get takeaway containers for $0.50 each.

This is my first restaurant to visit by myself. Its like my new comfort place. They have a karaoke and a wide variety of dishes.I highly recommend this place if you want to try korean cuisine while enjoying the atmosphere. Customer service is also noteworthy 👌 good job. I want to visit it again.

It’s not bad food. But I can’t say delicious. Just normal food. I’ll not go back this restaurant again. But if I should choose one good thing which I have experienced at Eden, I probably say parking area!

This restaurant used to be on casual street in town. Now moved to a larger restaurant with indoor space. However the parking space is comparatively alot less than the capacity of the restaurant. There are private parking at the back but cars will get towed if parked at the wrong spots, some parking off street. The food is as great as it used to be, large portion, authentic taste, quick table service even when they are busy. There are karaoke rooms available too, not sure how it works.

This was my first time trying Korean food.The food arrived fast, and fresh. The Waitress was super friendly, and had top notch customer serviceI cant wait to come back and try something new on the menu, I had the spicy squid and pork belly it was delicious!

Great atmosphere and karaoke experience. There was a slight issue with the bill at the end, but it was sorted promptly once pointed out. Delicous food 😊.

Great place to have Korean food. Yummy food with nominal price tags. My favourite was spicy chicken stir fried. BBQ was awesome as this place is known for. Samosas were also good. Stuff service was good. Highly recommended.👍👌

Authentic Korean food. Especially the potato beef soup was the best of best. Their side dish and the fried chicken were awesome as well. Highly recommend this place. The beef stew (galbijjim) was a bit sweet and nice but the portion was not enough for one adult man.

Yum!!! First time having Korean bbq and the hostess was Amazing! She took very good care of us, helping cook our food, recommending how to get the best flavours by using the sides. The food the service and the atmosphere were Amazing!!!

Very good Korean food with friendly and fast customer service. Their hot stone pot bibimbap and chicken soup (samgyetang) were delicious and authentic. However I give 4 stars for their average interior seating.

Absolutely delicious and authentic feeling Korean place. We ordered spicy rice cake, pancake, pork belly hotpot, beef ribs, and steamed egg. All of these were amazing. Side dishes were fairly standard, but they do offer free refills, which is nice.The service was good and the prices reasonable. Would definitely recommend over ordering like we did and doing takeaway!

The option for 0 stars, forced to select a star:Poor and irresponsible service, ordered vegetarian and specifically told the waitress vegetarian three times. However, was given seafood, did not see the prawns under the cheese until later on. If I had an allergy, my life would be compromised. Worst place and would not recommend. If you cannot follow instructions, you fail as a business.

Worst dining experience i have had in Christchurch didnt come around to ask for drinks forget peoples meals staff had no clue what was going on with bookings or meals. booked for karaoke on arrival one staff member said we hadnt and the other staff member assured us that we had. end of night said that we could do karaoke after saying all night that we couldnt, karaoke translation was really bad. then charged a ridiculous price for room hire after having to talk to the manager twice overall bad experience and would not recomend to anyone looking for a fun and care free night. also be carefull that you dont slip onpisss when walking in to the toilets!!!!

Ive went here several times, but today I felt different taste then usual like little bit fragrant and Im little bit sick now. Also last time when I went here my Korean KIUP bank card blocked two times because of the card machine.

One of my go to places for Korean food, I like their side dishes and their Pork Backbone soup. However have been quite disappointed with the customer service. We went there for dinner after a concert, it was quite late but definitely before their kitchen closing time. Ordered my usual Gamjatang and it was drowning in oil. The meat itself was cold but the sauce was smoking hot, the potato was undercooked. I let the server know who said sorry and offered me a soft drink but still went on to charge the full amount of a very unsatisfying stew. Tbh it didn’t even taste like the Gamjatang I have known to love. Disappointed and will think about going again.

We ordered two kimchi stew yesterday. But the tofu in my bowl was spoiled. At the beginning. I was think that taste soar is because kimchi, but when I try my friend’s one. It’s taste totally different. So I tell the waitress. But after 5 to 10 minutes, she told me that chef said the tofu is okay. Does she think that the sense of taste of the four people has a problem? ??I had a stomachache in the morning, so I thought it was necessary to write it down.such a disappointing experience!

I have been there two years ago. But I wont back after this time. Poor service and dispoint food. We went to there on Tuesday. Only three group customers. But we wait for a while to get response every time. Besides we ordered bbq, they gave us almost empty gas bottle for use. Their fried chicken also worst Korean chicken, quite shame for that. ***Hoax karaoke booking system***Youd be forgiven for thinking a reservation is a reservation , but apparently not here where your reservation is more of a give your details and hope for the best that you get what you want situation.Came along on Friday for a group celebration, thinking that our booking for a karaoke room would be honoured as it had been the first [and probably the last time] I had visited. Instead we were informed a large (more costly, not that the waitress mentioned that part ) karaoke room was presently available for us - absolutely not what we had booked ; wed arranged to have a small room under reservation, and were given a rip off option instead. I asked when the small karaoke room would be available, to which no specific answer was provided. There was no coherent or logical explanation - nor apology - offered to us for the failure over a mere reservation.A bitterly disappointing way to have what was intended to be a special celebration go down the drain to poor customer service and a hopeless booking system (rather the lack thereof) .

Extremely poor service. 1 star is a generous rating. Booked a small room for karaoke ; when we arrived they said they only had a large room available. When I asked how much it would cost they said it would be at the large room cost (which was a rip off at $38 an hour for 3 people).Apparently, expecting a booking after making a booking is out of the question - a very disappointing experience of service on what was scheduled to be a special evening amongst friends.

Pretty gritty interior, table was sticky, and just generally overallneeds a good deep clean. Food average, nothing was very fresh, the entrees were ok, the mains were heavy on cabbage and mediocre.

Went here for date night on Friday night. We received prompt lovely service from the people working there. The food was delicious, it was wonderful to get it all at the same time. We also used the karaoke service afterward. All in all it was a great night!

Ordered number 18 spicy pork as it had been recommended in the reviews. Sadly, it looked nothing like the picture and was really just a plate of cabbage with very little pork. Tasty but not what was pictured in the menu.

Pleasant service with good food. Quite authentic Korean dishes but not the normal large portion you would typically associate with asian restaurants. The good thing is the authentic constant refill of the side dishes and theyre yummy, although some variety to change with different days would be nice. Parking at this outlet can be limited and DO NOT park at other lots except the designated ones for the restaurant if you want to risk being wheel locked.

Excellent Korean food. Some of the best Korean food youll find in Christchurch. The service is very good. The premises were slightly dirty, which we found off-putting. But we keep coming back because the food is so darned good and we know well always be happy.

A little spartan, like many Korean restaurants, but the menu is pretty good. We had the seafood soup for two which had squid, lots of muscles, but -- oddly enough -- no fish. My wife and I have had this same dish in L.A.s Koreatown, and Eden Alleys version doesnt match up, despite the NZ$48 price. Really? You cant put any fish in seafood soup? Service was good. The decor, again, spartan.

This is Korea food restaurants. And the taste of food is really smillar with original taste. And there is karaoke room in the restaurant so you can enjoy the Korean food and singing songs at the same time. And they normally open the restaurant very late in the weekend. It is one of the best Korean restaurant in the Christchurch.

Ive been comin to Eden Alley a very long time and it never disappoints! Great, efficient service, the food is always on point and the atmosphere is great for intimate meals or groups. 11/10 would recommend!
