I have been here several times and the curries and service have always been excellent. Tonights meal was fantastic (chicken achari) and the flavours were authentic, bursting with spices and deliciousness. Amazing wee place. It deserves to be known as one of the best restaurants in Christchurch. Another bonus is its a very reasonable price. Well done!

Not just the best curry, but more broadly the best food ive eaten in Christchurch (and possibly beyond). We come by every Thursday and have not been disappointed on a single occasion. The owners clearly have a passion for the food they serve that goes beyond economic gain. After the meal, the chef often comes out of the kitchen himself to check if youve enjoyed his creation.

Was a delicious meal, enjoyed the quality of service and food, especially that soyachap sizzler plater was amazing.Shame tho it wasnt much busy. Restaurants like these do need to be appraised.Plan your next gathering there, you surely wont be disappointed.Cheers

This is by far and away the best Indian food in Christchurch, if not New Zealand.I have yet to sample better.No gimmicky food coloring or tomato soup slop that is commonplace in New Zealand Indian cuisine.British hot beef achari is particularly exquisite.I challenge any Indian food establishment in New Zealand to better Ferry Indians.

Use this place up! Its an absolute gem. Never seen it really busy and it deserves to be. Hopefully all these great reviews wont make it so busy that the excellent service and unbeatable quality start to slip. I reckon Ill take that chance, it deserves recognition

Fantastic food and quite generous portions. Also incredibly patient staff member on the phone who explained the different flavours and amount of heat, while l tried to decide. Finally ordered a mixed platter entree and 2 chefs special mains thinking ld split them, have one now and one in the freezer for later. Much more food than l was expecting and as Im not a very big eater, l actually had enough for 4 meals. Definitely order from them again.

Called by last night for a trip to the subcontinent. Decided to dine in to get the full experience. I actually think they deserve a worse rating than the four stars Im giving, but the food was great, which really saved them. Got the Bhuna Gosht (hot) and it delivered the one two punch (second one in the morning), leaving me well satisfied!Unfortunately, it arrived almost an hour and half after ordering. As a stream of Uber-Eats drivers rolled through picking up order after order. It is a shame that they prioritise uber-eats over their dine in customers, but i guess its the more critical buisiness given the times.

An awesome place to eat! The food is amazing and the menu offerings are extensive. The service is friendly and very polite and why we always love dining at our favourite local restaurant.

Ranjit and his team always worked really hard to keep standards high, this place such a lovely dine out . It’s been nearly 2 years we moved to CCH since then we’ve been going there pretty much every weekend. Never let us down. I always love to visit Ferry Indians. The food is very delicious. The people worked their are so friendly and always ready to help. I love it. Highly recommend it.

Food took 2 hours to show up. Was meant to show up at 8.09pm. Didnt show up until after 9 after ringing them 3 times and being lied too saying oh the driver is on their way the restaurant is less than a block away so delivery should have taken no more than 2 mins. After to all that, they order was missing food. We called them back (for a 4th time) and they refused to do anything because we swore at them the third time we called indeed we did swear because we were all extremely hungry and had been blatently lied too twice. The meal was average and portions small. Worst Indian takeaway ever experienced.

Tandoori rotiI have to say that everything tasted like perfection.It’s amazing to see that these guys take their google reviews seriously and also take action to rectify it unlike many other restaurants.Kudos to Ferry Indians 😊————————————————————————I’ve always had a good experience with this restaurant but this time the food was really below average.I ordered chicken tikka masala, butter naan and Soya Chaap platter.I have been eating soya chaap since my childhood and unfortunately this was the worst one I’ve ever had. It literally was bad, both in taste and texture.Also, Chicken Tikka Masala was just good enough to be edible. Best thing about the order was actually Butter Naan.In a nutshell, really disappointed this time.P.S - The staff is really welcoming and friendly.

Staff are not practical. We booked from First Table. Because of kid we had to rush so asked if they could pack leftover. They refused to do so because we booked from First Table. We were not over ordering. I think businesses should look practically to satisfy customers not like you should have read the conditions. Terrible experience.

By far our favourite Indian restaurant in the city. The food is exceptional and the service has made us regulars for years now. Wouldnt go anywhere else for a curry!

We ordered a set of meals and had them delivered by uber. We hadnt noticed but one of the meals was wrong. Without saying or suspecting anything, the owner realised this, *drove all the way over here*, and gave us the meal we were supposed to get for free. It was so unexpected, as they would say on radio Hauraki, bloody great New Zealander!!

Best indian curry place I have ever been to! And I have tried many different places but Ferry Indians is by far my favorite.

This is the only Indian restaurant I will go to from now on. I cant even express in words how good this place is. Best Indian food weve had for a very long time. We had to try a new place, as our usual takeaway isnt open on Mondays, and so the Google reviews lead us here. The high ratings are completely justified. The Lamb Rogan Josh had the most tender meat Ive had in a curry. Authentic, tasty, not overpowering. Well definitely be coming back.

Always First priority is Ferry Indians. A Very Nice place. The Food was Fabulous and Outstanding Service. We had great time.

Takeaway was lukewarm and lacked little flavour if any. Garlic naan was the same.

Tried again, but.... over charged and incorrect order!! Seems to be a theme. Even double checked order but got home to find wrong!! Keep the extra money as I will not be back. Food is of reasonable quality tho. Unfortunate.

4 of us experienced Ferry Indians on a dark dank Saturday night. However the ambience within compared to the outside conditions was just the opposite. A small and cosy restaurant with outstanding customer service made for an great evening. The food was simply divine !!Little doubt we will be back regularly- top stuff Ferry Indians.

Excellent customer service! Felt so welcomed when I came to the door, menu was explained to me in full detail, man on the till was so friendly and warm! The food is super fresh and delicious, rice is perfectly cooked and the naan bread size is ver big! Would definitely recommend and will be a regular now

Disappointed from there malai chaap as its not what it suppose to be. Tried first time. As just found mayonnaise and soya chaap in there. But must say service was great as order around 8.55 and they still made it. But really not what paid for.😔
