I had been struggling to find a good Indian restaurant in Christchurch. There is one I like and this one is definitely an addition to the list!Had an amazing experience! Food was delicious. Service was above expectations. Karan is a really friendly man and the chef too. I will be coming back for more.Would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys an authentic Indian cuisine.

Excellent curries. 4 of us all had completely different dishes and they were all amazing. The sauces were very thick and the food was fresh and tasty, cooked to perfection. It is also a lovely venue and great atmosphere. We will be back again!

The food here is amazing. We celebrate the end of our working week with our extended family by getting takeaways from here nearly every Friday. The restaurant is well presented and we always feel welcomed. There are dairy free and gluten free options. This a lovely family owned restaurant with consistently tasty and high quality meals. I feel very lucky to have found this place!

Highly recommend! We had booked at a different restaurant only to find it closed when we arrived. We found Majestic Indian on google and at 7:00 pm they took a booking for 7:15-20 from us for 16 people. The food was fantastic, the service great and the staff very friendly and accommodating. They even drove one of our guests home. Thank you so much. We shall be back. Bless you all!

Pros: plenty parking, quiet (no customers), goat curry was ok.Cons: $15 tandoori fish was more like a salad (90% shredded lettuce, 10% fish- see pic, yellow bit was fish), papadom was not fresh and didnt taste good (but it was free), our food took 30 mins when there was only one customer who ordered takeaway in front of us, the price is expensive for its quality and quantity

Went for our first meal out since lock down with the kids.Staff are really friendly and make you feel so welcome and can’t do enough for you.The food, yum the spices wow. You can smell it before you get it. I had lamb biriani and kids had kormas. Partner had chef special. So much food and a doggy bag. Going back this weekend for a birthday dinner and invited our friends .

Very nice curries in a pleasant setting. Well worth a visit

Wonderful birthday meal here. Great selection of vegetarian dishes and meat dishes. Everything was beautifully cooked and seasoned. The dishes were not over sweet like is often done for NZ palettes. Staff were great and checked we were ok at several points without being intrusive. Small restaurant which meant it is not noisy. Good car parking and easy to get to.

So we all have different tastes, but hands down, this was the best Chicken Tikka Masala ive had! Nice and thick, and so much flavour.We also had a Butter Chicken with the spice turned right up and it was pretty decent too.Dined in and it was a cosy wee place. Comfortable and warm, plus the place didnt echo. The indian music playing in the background really set a nice mood. Recommend dining in for the full experience.

Fabulous Indian food, very friendly staff and great prices! The chief came out to our table to asks us what we thought about the food and we said it was delicious! He also explained the fish tandoori took some time as the best cooking method was to slowly cook the fish to avoid burning it :) Keep up the good work!

Although this restaurant is a little hidden from the main road it is one of my favourites in Christchurch well worth a visit or two or three! With a very friendly and accomodating team who always make you feel very welcome and important to them. Their chefs are constantly improving their menu offerings and keen for patrons input! I celebrated my birthday there last night with a small group of friends (15) and the service was fantastic - everyone enjoyed their meals and were impressed with the menu, meals, hospitality and timely service. For me this was a lovely relaxed and no-stress way to entertain - highly recommend.

This is for sure the hidden gem of chirstchurch. The photo is of my family eating it they loved it so so much we go there all the time. I have brought many friends here and they all say the same thing. Man I wish I knew about this place earlier. If that isnt enough for my grandmas funeral I bought my family here for a feast in her honour. Her meat tasted very good with the curry might I add. Please if you took the time to read this essay go down to the majestic Indian bristo Im sure you wont regret it :-)

One of my Indian friends introduced me to this restaurant on her Birthday. She took us for a treat and we were pleased beyond expectations after dining here. The first tryst with the Indian food was quite majestic and I am looking forward to dining here yet again.

I am very particular about taste and I tried Indian cuisine from many places. But the taste of Lamb Rogan Josh from this place is unmatched to others. Very nicely cooked and the curry was really good. I loved the food, the chef got magic in his hand.

Food was incredibly fresh and delicious. Service was great as well. We had a variety of curries from meat to fish and vegetarian. All were cooked with care and obvious pride in what they were creating.

Finding the best quality Indian food in Ferrymead is like finding a water pump in a desert. But all thanks to this place, the offer very nice quality food at a reasonable price. I really liked the place.

Without exaggeration, this is the best Indian food I have found in Christchurch. On par, and possible exceeding the old Restaurant Bella that used to be located near by. Location makes it tough on them, but if you visit you wont be disappointed. They even opened tonight, when they were leaving, when they saw me pull up to find them closed. Exceptional food served with exceptional service. I wont go anywhere else now.

The best Indian restaurant in Christchurch! The best food I’ve had in a long time. Even the water lol. I had the chicken tikka masala and it was 5 star. The customer service was fantastic and the boss knows run a great restaurant. It’s a very comfortable place to sit and eat with friend & family, I highly recommend to all ages ❤️

Myself and my wife went along here on Friday 22/02/19. I bought the goat curry. The sauce was nice but unfortunately that was it. Of the tiny amount of meat that i got 70% of it was hard sharp shards of bone which i cut the roof of my mouth on. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND I WILL NEVER BE BACK.

This restaurant is fantastic. We dont usually deviate from our usual Indian but were invited to a celebratory dinner here.The food was delicous. Service top notch right down to lovely warmed plates. We ordered quite a number of dishes and all of them were delicous.The decor is lovely with a warming gas fire. I would totally recommend this restaurant.We will certainly go back.
