I think the Bombay Bazaar is underrated in terms of publicity. Otherwise It has everything which a indian supermarket must have with affordable price tag. Stuff is kind, helpful and honest about products. I love to go there and buy my indian grossry.

Alwys tried to help the business, as its our responsibility to support all not stick with one but what will u do when they misguide you with two price on the product and on counter the owner of the shop will prefer to loose you ,she ,after discussing with staff he said I just put the price nd Manager told me this not right one ,then must erase old nd replace the new price (rule) .

Good place for indian groceries

Time is precious for everyone. This week two times noted mangoes available at stores in Bombay Bazar Facebook page so ring them lot of times to the store for checking availability but no one answering the call so pop in the store for buying this for two days. The sales person replied mangoes not available ATM. My question is that how I can get know you have stock available or not? I hope you could have proper communication with the customer at least attending our phone calls..

Very poor after sale customer service. I bought 10kg bag of onions but when I opened the bag at home, most of the onions were decayed. But when i took them back to that lady on the counter of the shop, she straight way refused to accept the bag and further suggest me to buy another bag of Onions which was looking she tried to rip off me again. Very poor customer service by that lady. Before this I was regular customer of them buy now I would recommend don’t buy poor quality stuff from them.

The girl at the check out is the worst checkout staff I have ever seen. I have been there few times and everytime I go there I feel like shes not happy with her job. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE BY THE CHECKOUT Staff and filling staff. Value Mart customer service is best customer service. Please respect all customer even they only have to buy not much grocery.Dont embarrass customer if only buy fresh produce and bit grocery because you only need produce, milk and bread very often than other grocery. Clean and new with friendly staff.Well laid out aisles with clear pricing.There is a big selection of spices.Also large selection of nuts.Freezer section as well.There is a food truck parked outside the entrance if you are hungry and fancy some Indian street food before or after your shopping.There are designated parking spaces for the shop.

Neat, clean and enough space to buy. All the shelves are clearly marked. Just at the entrance to the back, they have displayed value items that are near their expiration thus on sale.

Poor quality products.They sold me rottan packed okra. I talked to the staff and rather than to feel sorry, they told me they sell rottan stuff cheaper. How come a person would know about packed rotten veges. Poor quality, dont buy.

A big thank you to the owners of Bombay Bazaar for your service with a smile, absolutely lovely staff and great products. I am travelling and its hard to find a one stop shop for vegetarian products, especially their convenient desi wraps located at the back of the store in the frozen section, as well as lots of other yummy treats.I spoke to the owner at the check out and as a gift he gave me one of their lovely Diwali sweets, as I am currently waiting on a visa and this was a little sweet treat to cheer me up!Also, his wife has a food truck outside which sells all vegetarian food, i wish I had known as I would have opted for having my lunch there. I will make the journey to try this next time as it looked very delicious.Thank you to all the staff, you made my day :)

The best place in Christchurch for Indian groceries - hands down! I have tried all the stores in Christchurch and Bombay Bazaar is by far the most well-priced, well-laid-out, and well-stocked. Items are of the highest quality and prices are fair.But the reason we keep going back to Bombay Bazaar is the friendly, welcoming and positive attitude of Umesh bhai and his entire team. Umesh bhai and his team treat us like family and we do the same - this is rare and we truly appreciate it.If you need Indian groceries - go to Bombay Bazaar - you will not be disappointed!

I purchased various goods from this store but I make reference to the nuts from this shop namely Cashews, Almond, Walnuts and Cranberries over 1,5 kg and mixed them together at home. They were slighly stale. Anyway after 4 to 5 days of eating these nuts I found maggots in them literally crawling everywhere in the container. I called the owner Umesh and told the situation and I even went to the store with the remaining nuts still over 1.5 kgs. A staff member told me to leave it there and took my number and advised me that the owner will call you. Sadly its been over a week now that Umesh has still not called me. I will not purchase anything from this store every again. Your Loss!

I have bad experience last night they advertise diwali special on facebook .they put pillsbury atta $9.90for 10kg for blue pack .and I went there the employee said its yellow pillsbury is in special .blue is export pack and its different. I have drive from nelson to Christchurch to buy my diwali grocery shopping .please check before u enter .they do advertising but they dont give same product what they advertise .I always go to yogiji never had this kind experience.
