The best Indian in town. Their prices are very reasonable, they have $10 curry takeout specials, of you can just order online and they have it ready in no time. Very tasty!!

Worst Biriyani I ever had in Christchruch. We got lamb and chicken Biriyani as takeaway. But none of them are cooked. Couldn’t eat the meat at all. Never going back to this restaurant again. Both lamb and chicken were undercooked. Very much disappointed. I had to throw lamb without eating, it was that bad.

Very nice food , great service, order some vage Manchurian and fried rice .

Prices are good, and the food is nice, but their curries are quite a bit thinner than other places. They have smaller sized dishes available that most other places do not, and these are well priced. Very useful if you do not want a big meal. They also deliver within 5km at a reasonable price, and will sometimes deliver free at close range.

Sorry for the bad review.My vegetable korma was bland!.Only gave you two stars as you seem like nice ppl and the the dish was hot with nice rice.Wont be back sorry.

It used to be so good before. Tried it lately, very bad taste. Change back the reciepe to the old one plus it taste like its been there for like a week not fresh at all.

Indian Grill has done the catering service for my daughters Bday. Food was very nice, good service and had good communication about the whole process. We are really happy.

WOW!What a great find.The best indo-chinese so far in New Zealand. An incredible amalgamation of spices and sauces is what I experienced last night. The portion size is decent enough plus the preparation time is unbelievable. Indian Grill also offers home delivery to immediate vicinity at very affordable price.

What a great place to have indian food. Very authentic and great customer service. I would suggest to definitely try biryani and a couple other dishes like chicken tandoori and tan chicken as well ✌✌.

I bought a family pack of chicken biryani and couple of portions of chilli chicken on 23rd of August. The food was really bad. Chicken was not freshly made and can’t even chew. It was already cooked and kept in refrigerator for some time, think a day or two old. I had few guests at my place and no one actually had that food which I bought from Indian grill. I felt so embarrassed and threw all food. Will never go there and even won’t recommend to anyone. Horrible experience. Indian grill is not the same what it used to be.

One of if not my favourite takeaway Indian food outlets. Polite and good English. They were absolute stars one evening as they were pretty much closed given it was after 10pm. And even for our under $40 order they were willing to make it after hours. Theyll make vegan dishes and theyre all super tasty!

One of my favourite place in chch, very reasonable prices and food is pretty much similar to my hometown which is very difficult to find in here, they also make food on request, I asked them to make me curry like a homemade and it was the best meal I ever had. Had chicken briyani tonight for dinner, oh my gosh , it just blew my mind , was so good , definitely will come back , best Indian cuisine in town .

We always prefer Indian Grill apart from all other takeaways or restaurants.But the last 2 times we ordered food it was zero on quality and taste. We ordered veg noodles and paneer chilly day before which was very very spicy even after letting them know that we need medium spicy.Paneer chilly was was floating in oil and too much colour.We actually fell sick after having that food.The other day we ordered Tandoori chicken which was cold and just colour in it with no taste. I think the current chef is fond of using colour in the food.Its a request to the owner to please check the quality of food they deliver.Use of colour and too much oil in the food is not healthy.Need to think twice to visit next time.

Dont ask the customers how spicy the food you want because in any way you cook it so Spicy that we cant even taste the food. first time i went and ordered medium spicy it was still hot spicy second time i went and ordered mild food and they gave me the spiciest hot food i ever tried.. your food is fine but work on the spiciness

Placed the Order for1) Chilli Chicken2) Murg Makhani3) Garlic NaanOverall, it was an above average experience.Good place to get the Take Aways however wouldn’t say the Best reason being it was missing that Taste/Touch of Indian Food.Probably, a little more work on cooking could help Indian Grill to get them from 3 Star Rating to 4 Star or may be even 5 Star.

Great food, friendly staff, the only thing I would suggest is to label which meal is which on larger orders :D

Its best to call and order 30 minutes at least in advance, as theres not much place to wait around in the take away. The food is quite good and the price is also not overly expensive - just as much as in most Indian restaurants/takeaways. Last time we ordered a family pack biriyani and it was more than enough for 7 of us. The portion sizes are excellent and they make it as spicy or as mild as your requirements. The chefs are super quick and they make the food on the spot, based on the order.The menu is more focused on North Indian cuisine and it would be great to have more South Indian cuisine included. And also, it would be good to have more coordination between the front staff and chefs; once we ordered a tandoori chicken naan and was asked to order two separate items - tandoori chicken and naan, which wasnt what we actually wanted. Still, good service.

Weve frequently been to this takeaway & always amazing food whatever is ordered whether butter chicken, one of the various naans, mango lassie, onion bhaji. Rice is complimentary. There are $10 curry deals that no other place has. Amazing recipes & staff very friendly. Imran was so friendly & will be sadly missed.

Really nice and tidy shop and deliciously tasty Indian cuisine.We have tried the kiwi classics: butter chicken, tikka masala and chicken korma and all were really nice examples.The spice level is great, always disappointed when any heat is non existent, but the medium heat is a great balance.Recommended.

Pros: MUST TRY BRIYANI! Ordered the chicken and there were a lot of chicken. Lots of fragrance and taste of the spice but not overpowering. Perfect moistness (a lot of Briyanis I tried were always too wet - Im Chinese so i know my rice).Mango lassi was $4 which is cheaper than most.Cons: Curry was good as the best in Chch, but nothing compared to briyani.The food will take time, quality takes time which is understandable.To new customers: Do note it is only takeaway and theres no tables to eat
