This is the famous “Bean” and your induction into Chicago Tourism. Great spot to grab a bite, take your required tourist pictures, and people watch. There are plenty of nearby restaurants, but I’d recommend bringing your own food if able (save yourself some bucks). If it’s your first time here, grab a bite and enjoy the city. Welcome to Chicago!
This is one of the tourist attention of the Chicago!! If you don’t take a photo in front of this , no one believes you was in Chicago!!! You can find a lots of people in here!! This is free entrance place!!! Parking in here is very difficult!! No parking in here!! There is a underground parking in both side but it cost $20 per hour!!! If you are lucky you can find a street meter parking which cost $7 per hour but you have to walk at lest two or three blocks!!! You can spend an hours in here!!! There is a digital fountain just beside!!! It’s amazing!!! The face of the man change when the water comes out of his mouth!!! It’s great to see and take a picture!!! Just go through the picture which I have uploaded !!! Which give you some idea!! Enjoy!!!
The view. The scenery’s was worth the stop. It’s obviously a crowded zone as it’s a tourist location. I couldn’t mention this positive w/o a negative. With that being said, The public restroom is a disaster! No toilet paper and no soap. Filthy as a public restroom can be. I had to literally hold myself together. I suggest using the restroom before going for a long walk through this lovely city of Chicago.
Awesome visit to the monument of Chicago. Awesome tourist experience for anybody visiting Chicago. I really cant say too much. You need to experience for yourself.Awesome lay out and lots of space to take pictures if youre wondering. I went alone and still got these amazing pictures. Why havent you visited yet?
In the area doing tourist stuff... Wifes birthday and she had never been to Chicago.. so to the bean we went... Cloud Gate is the technical name of it.Last time I visited it was packed with people taking selfies also.....Would definitely recommend if in the area. Will visit again!RespectfullyBryanOklahoma City
The Bean is one of the most see in Chicago.Mo matter what you have to make sure that you stop by and see this place yourself. It is a bit of challenge to find a parked spot unless you park at a paid parking. Take a walk, enjoy the park and take pictures with the bean. There are also good places to eat around the area.
Theres a reason why people flock to this space. Something surreal about the The Bean and it feels like its always changing. Went early Sunday to see it without the crowds and really loved my time spent contemplating lifes meaning. Even with the crowds I love how people were taking photos for strangers and how connected we can be when we put our differences aside.
Cloud Gate is a classic Chicago art installation. City views are outstanding. Fun picture opportunities. Be sure to wander underneath to see the mesmerizing reflections. Can get very busy on the weekends. If you are going to the Art Museum, stop here after. It’s a quick walk, costs you nothing, and worth a few minutes.
We had a quick jaunt to Chicago, and couldnt miss the chance to check out the Bean! Its a pretty amazing sculpture and worth the effort to see. There are several places to take pictures. The parking is annoying and costly for a small amount of time at Millennium park, but I guess thats just how it is in Chicago. I suggest going if you have time!
Beautiful sculpture in a nice park in the middle of the city. A must see if you are in town for a weekend. The park is well maintained and trash cans offer recycling options. It is a beautiful piece of art and you can see the sky and buildings reflecting on it which is impressive. We walked here from miracle mile with a group of friends, and it was a lovely walk and experience. A great place to take pictures and capture memories made. When looking at this beautiful piece of art it is understandable why it has gotten the cute little nickname the bean
Cloud Gate sculpture is famous with its another name The Bean. It is in Millenium park and The Bean is the iconic sculpture in Chicago and is a must visit there. There is no fee to visit it as it is situated in this park. You can go near, around and below this sculpture and take photos. It is very shiny and reflective and people like to take pictures of their reflections in the bean.
Truly fun! The reflections of the skyline are awesome. We were there at sunset and the colors were wonderful. It is cleaned every morning and deep cleaned a few times a year. That way it stays clear and reflective. Anish Kapoor, the artist says that this piece hovers between architecture and sculpture. He also says it has taken on a life of its own. It invites real participation. Thousands of people every day visit and take selfies. :)
As far as I’m concerned this is a Chicago MUST see! You can get so many cool pictures of the city and yourself in the reflection. It’s just a fun spot and there is so much more to explore in Millennium Park as well. It never gets old! We go every visit! And… it’s free!
A tourist must see! The bean and park surrounding it is beautiful. They currently have the being fenced off, which actually allows for better pictures. I recommend going during the week, not the weekend, due to how busy it is. They have different food vendors around the Bean and wonderful walking paths. It’s easy to spend an afternoon just enjoying being in the city!
Really cool and definitely worth a stop! The bean is the highlight of the park and is really amazing to see in person!!
Clean and stunning space. Busy with everyone taking photos, but well worth the visit. Walk around for a while, sit back one one of the many benches to take in the skyline
Nice atmosphere but can get quite crowded so go early for those great photos without distraction. The park is wonderful, a piece of quiet place in the middle of the city.
A must see attraction when visiting Chicago. Many people there taking pictures. During the weekday wasnt very crowded.
Millennium park is the place to visit while in Chicago. Could gate use the most visited attraction in the park. Don’t forget to scan the code (direction are located on the right side of the Cloud) and here clouds voice :-)
This is a great place in the city to get out and get some fresh air with the kids. Great area to just walk and just get out for the day. The area is really nice and well kept also the view of the city is a perfect spot for some great pics. We got some great shots for our sons IG page juniorsjourney2018 Plz follow for more great pics and trips!
Wild looking experiential art. And who cleans this thing?AKA, the Bean, this artwork offers many photo ops. Selfies with the crowd; skylines; distortions.Inside is particularly friendly to cameras.
Dropped by here on a work trip, it’s a cool site to check out if you are in Chicago!
Im surprised at how much I loved this sculpture. It seems so simple and underwhelming until youre actually there. I absolutely loved the view from underneath just as much as the exterior view with reflections. So glad I visited.
A great Chicago experience. This is the only park I have run into that has barricades to keep the citizens off of the grass. Stop and get a real Chicago hotdog but no ketchup allowed.
You cant come to Chicago without seeing the Bean. In person, its gigantic but kinda cool. The reflection of the Bean is so shiny. Coming here very early in the morning will have less people otherwise, its usually pretty crowded for most of the times. No admission needed. Theres also a ice skating ring right beside it and plenty of park space around. Where the Bean is placed will give you a perfect reflection of the city at all hours. Of course sunny days are best. Definitely a treasure of Chicago.
The Bean (Cloud Gate) was absolutely amazing. Due to Covid-19 we were limited to the perimeter of a fence to view this artwork. I wish I could have gone underneath it but understand why not. There were many people looking at this amazing sculpture in down down Chicago. Brilliant and cant wait to go back and actually go underneath the artwork.
Cloudgate. The Bean. This one silvery huge reflective people gathering magnet work of art kinda represents Millennium Park. Cool sculpture, even cooler underneath it! Make those wide angle lens work with this Bean.Smile!
Today is a good clear day with no wind and The Bean is a perfect place to visit. The mid day sun is great for some good wide format shots that include the background buildings. The evening sun is great for a color mixture of lights.
Great piece of art. How did they even make this? Nice place for photos
Such a classic tourist spot but definitely worth it. Go during the day and at night. My favorite view is honestly as youre on the street. You look over and see the sculpture but the reflections of the city around you make it blend in and tricks your mind as the horizon blends with the sky.
Very nice place to take picture have fun with family friend n date. Love the weather very clean music etc
Affectionately know in Chicago as The Bean. This art piece attracts millions of people every year. It is designed so you can see your reflection and Chicagos skyline from almost every angle. Its a lot of fun for picture taking!
Very crowded, even during COVID. Tons of hand prints all over the bean made it less reflective. Okay place to visit once but not much to see here. The amphitheater across the park was more impressive to me.
One of the famous tourist attractions in Chicago, always buzzing with tourist and locals. You can grab some food and enjoy it next to cloud gate. Kept very clean, its in millennium park. If travelling with kids do visit the fountains near to cloud gate.
You cant go to Chicago and not stop by and take a picture with the big bean. It was the first place we visited on our first trip to the city. The park around it is gorgeous also so worth taking a stroll through :)
Easily my favorite spot in the city. I just like to go there and walk around tbh. It’s fun to see all the people and enjoy the scenery of the city itself. When I used to work nearby I went there almost weekly, just because
The surface of the sculpture reflects the famous Chicago skyline and the clouds in the sky... Is one of Chicagos most popular sights.
It is the must visit for a quick pic place in Chicago. Easy to find and access. Although it was crowded on my visit, there was plenty of space and time for pictures.
We had a great time at cloud gate. The outside seems semi-normal and inside look absolutely crazy! Great time here. Fantastic place for wacky photos.
Shimmering and gelatinous like a shiny organ.
Simple but complex and interesting sculpture. A nice place to visit in the park
A well maintained architectural design. The atmosphere is nice with good music and vibe. No wonder people come to see this Beauty.
Beautiful monument..It is very big!
Super Cool structure! What a kick to see this! A must see if you are in Chicago........
8am after pandemic, and you are almost alone here. Perfect in summer. Very beautiful. And, yes, it’s not beans, it’s cloud gate
Great sight seeing in Chicago. You have to visit and get some great pictures
This is a unique piece of art, that has so much movement to it as you walk around and under it. You get a little dizzy if you look up as you walk under it. But the reflections are super cool. The way it reflects the Skyline is unique.
Im not exactly sure what was supposed to be at this plaza, as it was closed. However we were still able to view the bean. Its a pretty cool piece of architecture.
Super awesome and mega humid. Great pictures and amazing time. Beautiful place
Iconic. Even more impressive in person.
A must stop point while visiting downtown Chicago. A unique visual experience while standing near and below the Been
The cloud gate is cool to see but not much to do. Visited in May and it was fenced off due to Covid.
I love this thing. It is in my dreams. Contrasts interestingly with the Art Deco style of Chicago.
I am definitely leaving that here! Loved that bean, Chicago ❤️
Best time ever. This day was wonderful. We just wanted to get Chicago time on our vacation from So.California. Great time had by all.
Amazing reflections! The skyline reflections are amazing and the sculpture was a lot of fun to take selfies with and generally be awe struck by its size and shininess!
I went at night. You can capture the city lights reflected on the bean. But Ive seen pics at daylight and its fascinating too.If you go by car, it will be kinda difficult to find a free parking lot.
Beautiful and unique. A little crowded, but you should go there if you are in Chicago.
First time here in Chicago, Illinois!! Here for Riot Fest!!!! Woo hoo!!!! I love it here!!
Amazing sculpture, never seen such a piece of art before.....
Way bigger than I expected. Super cool to see in person.
Very memorable. Peaceful and done at your own place. Just stunning views
The Dome was absolutely beautiful it was so many people there that was my first time seeing this and Chicago I loved it and I would love to go again and anyone see these pictures if you get the opportunity to go please do I promise you you will love it
Wonderful structure and a lovely attraction adding to the beauty of the city. Amongst many others you plan to visit, please visit the cloud bean if you haven’t before. Kids enjoy it so much.
Such a cool work of public art. Well worth walking to and taking in.
A must see place is Chicago! It is truly a Beaty to see. The park is also very vibrant and a nice place to walk around! Great places to take pictures.
The bean!A very nice visit if the crowds are light. Fun photo spot.
Cloud Gate, aka The Bean. Only in Chicago will something so amazing place. Chicago has amazing sights and they all won’t disappoint you. Thousands gather at the Bean to take pictures. #LoveTheBean.
Fun and interactive piece of art. Incredibly clever design. A place to be creative with photography. We had a blast.
Iconic tourist spot, it was pretty busy the day I visited.
Way more impressive than I thought it would be. Always knew it was iconic, but the view up close and especially underneath was inspiring. Recommended!
Can’t deny it is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL sculpture and a must do in Chicago. It was so insanely busy when I visited I took a selfie and ran away so fast. Definitely DO NOT visit midday on a Saturday…
Cloud Gate is an absolute must see on any Chicago visit. If you can manage to get there before 730am you can have the place almost to yourself. It doesnt matter if its your first time or your 50th, the sculpture is always a marvel.
We were so excited to see The Bean! It is such a beautiful architectural structure that we had to make sure to stop by. The structure itself was fenced off so visitors were unable to close to the structure but we were close enough that we were able to get decent pictures. My husband and I love to take photos when traveling and made sure to get our fair share of pictures as best as we could.Cloud gate is a massive Bean shaped structure, its located in Millennium Park formally known as Grant Park. The structure is at the center of the park and can be seen from the streets of Chicago. When we first arrived we decided that we would come see the structure if we didnt do anything else we had to see it. I know it was blocked off still because of covid restrictions but in the future we hope to come back and visit and hopefully the structure will be avaliable at full access to visitors.
One of my favourite places in downtown. Have visited in all seasons and at all times but still in awe and still in live with it. Recently I took my puppy for his pics with the cloud gate and his nirvaan is complete😊
