Parcel agents have the more power than railway employees

Very poor service, parcel guy is charging extra money and packaging is not even one layer of cover. Counters are all empty, the Railway personnel are absent from their place of duty causing unnecessary inconvenience to the general public. The administration is not at all bothered for the people.

Dont trust any brokers .You can parcel on ur own n make sure the petrol tank empty. Ropes n covers are available opposite to parcel office .

My friend booked a bike to transport to his hometown. There will be a lot of touts outside the entrance. Do not entertain any of them. Go directly to the counter and seek their help. They will help you for packing and loading as well. The touts will tell you all sorts of stuff and charge you any where between 1000 to 5000. DO NOT ENCOURAGE ANY OF THEM.

This place affected for unloading brokers, the brokers charged and cheated per bag handling charges Rs.120

Office time from 7 AM to 2 PM on Sunday also working day. Its just 1km from central railway station. Outside staff will be there it is very helpful . They will give all information with details.

Third party agencies people demanding for money just to bring out your 2 wheeler, parcel was just a 300-500/- matter for 300-500km, but to bring out your vehicle they will demand the same, for some 100-200 meters distance

Worst place. Agents and porters act like they are helping you but in the end youll realise their actual character. Be prepared for all type of cheating. Ps. Never let them see how much money you have in your wallet and always keep notes of 100s, otherwise youll suffer.

Great service by the railway staff. Very kind and supportive. Actually the local loading unloading staff will literally try to steal from you. They will ask 2-3 times the charge!! But if you approach the railway parcel office directly they will save you from them. Very much impressed by the service by southern railway staff. You are not supposed to pay 3-4 times extra money at gate. All you need is just go and check with the officer. Never go to any agent at the gates!

The worst.. complete bribe.. government should improve a lot here.. everywhere people asking money for everything.. any government official can book a vehicle without showing his identity. Then only they can understand the reality.... Completely corrrepted place in Chennai.... government must take necessary action....

I recently visited this place to collect a parcel. Staffs behaviour is really good. They handed over the vehicle with properly after checking the vehicle to make sure it’s not damaged. But area looks not clean.

Take the first left after the main central station. The place has been taken over by agents grabbing people by their hands to take up their works. If you want to send a parcel (bike in my case) hassle free, be ready to pay these agents double the normal fare. The bright side would be that theyll take care of everything including draining the petrol, safely packing the bike and billing. If you choose to not go by these agents, then I suggest you to go enquire beforehand. Timings 7AM - 2PM (All days)

Pathetic service at central parcel office.Local agents took complete control.of the booking process. You wont be able to book your parcel unless u approach an agent and pay him some money. few officers are also mingled with them.There is no application form available in the CS office room. But when i paid 500 to an agent he gave me the form. A bunch of application forms are stored in his 2 wheeler.Few Security officers are also mingles with them... :(

Local brokers have complete control of this place. Even the railway staff is working with them. I asked the delivery charge of bike from a railway staff and he said I dont know, ask them(pointing to local brokers), they are doing it.No doubt these people have fixed commission with brokers.Brokers will charge you 3 times the railway fee.

The local people who work here are absolute cheats. They have charged me 4000 for packing and transportation of my bike(a Bajaj Avenger) to Hyderabad. The original parcel bill is only 1000, but I had to pay an extra 3000 for the local hooligans. When in emergency, and you have no other option, we need to go as everyone else does. I only wish I had a better experience.

Worst area with no neatness, all drainage water from nearby jammed there. Full of fowl smell. If u want to parcel ur two wheeler please consult parcel supervisor, dont encourage touts, they will cheat u. They will take more money unnecessarily from you. Nothing can happen without support from local agent available at parcel centre. Agent will help you to proceed your parcel fast and you can trust them but they charged you also same as per their service. Do bargaining properly. 4.5 star to Trust on vendor, 2star to rate of vendors.

Dont go with outside agents while transporting your vehicles, They will ask extra charges and communication is also not good, If you are from other state they will treat you in harsh manner.So please be careful while transporting your goods.Any queries directly check with inside railway officers. Good place to send interstate bulky parcels.Suggestions:Do pack your parcels well.You will be surrounded by local agents/ brokers once you reach their.Make sure you negotiate and understand each and every aspect from weighing, packing, loading and unloading of your parcel seemed to be a bit risky.

The booking and delivery process is too bad. Why they (railway department) used outsource to book parcel / luggage and they charged too high.They demanded Rs.350/- from me to handover my bike finally i given Rs.280/- and taken my bike from them.And When we book Bike from Chennai to Hyderabad, they demanded Rs.3000/- and finally agreed to take Rs.2450/-. after surrender my bike to them they come back to me after 40 minutes and given a receipt for only Rs.1000/-.Even, if you go with railway staff recommendation, the outsource persons wont help you to book your luggage. it is too bad and the railway department should look on this.I didnt face any problem in Hyderabad to book or delivery my vehicle.

Its very bad and worst parcel service in India. Requesting every body dont ever go for Chennai Central Station parcel service. Everybody is doing open bribe there. I heartly respect our Indian police but its really bad even police people also involved. I went to parcel my bike from Chennai Central to korba which cost me nearby 1900 rs by train parcel..till now 15 days crossed bike is in same place....just go and see each and every people asking money there if you wont pay then they will delay as much as possible. Packing person asking 4000 to pack which he use 2 plastic dirty cover for bike ignition and light section and other for seat , for me police person didnt ask money they took 2 litre of petrol bottle and went out from duty to home, marker is asking money, parcel supervisor is asking money, everybody is asking money there. And same these bribes they are doing openly, doesnt have fear of police because even few police people also involved in it.. I am Requesting Indian Railway please do something. Day by day indian railway sector is getting worst by worst in india.Requesting dnt ever go to parcel office send your parcel through truck or other means of transport.. But dnt go through this central railway station.I tried to complain in 139 for this issue they are not responding properly. First of all 139 no body receiving call and next day finally someone received and I raised a complain and got respond that your complain has been sorted out but still my bike is there in railway station. I am attaching all files related the same to prove myself here..Requesting Indian railway or any officer of Indian railway if you are seeing my post. Please take some action please for that parcel office..

Worst experience from the staffs side. Last week I went there for parcel my bike. I directly went to the counter and enquire about the fare. The staff told me It would cost around 2000. The agent outside was asking 3000 for the packing and parcel charges. So I gave the bike to agency. After receiving the receipt I came to know it was only 780 rs for parcel charges. And I saw the agent gave 1100 rs to the counter staff and 100 for CRPF.

It is a same like normal parcel office. There is nothing much special about it. Only things to be noted is if you are physically good and have time dont ever go for the Agents outside. We went there to get our bike parcelled these agents were talking very nice to us one agent told us 2k and we approavhed another guy who aggreed for 1k. The first agent was also helping the swcond agent in packing our bike. That means they are all a same team.. they are just gambling as some people wont enquire too much. What actually these agents do is they buy 2k or 1 k from us and put the value of bikeas low as they could so that they will get ticket for bike at 200rs. After effect of this is in case anything happened to your vehicle you will get only 200rs

Its very worst experience.i received bike from this railway transport. ButThe persons who are not employes , but they had more playing vital role in delivering. And they demandes 300-400 rs money just for 15 min their work. But I paid only 70rs.Pl, dont approach any body while receiving ur parcel, directly go to delivery officer, and show ur booking copy and he will say where is ur parcel. From that place u just collect that and go to same officer and ask to deliver that. Finally, he will give one more copy of gate pass and u have to give this pass while leaving gate. Thats it.For this those people will ask money of 300rs. So, be aware of procedure.

I went there to collect my bike which had come from siwan, bihar. The guy on the system was very slow and took 15 minutes to tell me where my bike was... The worst part is when the parcel comes, they keep it at the platform itself. You have to bring your goods on your own to the parcel office for getting gate pass....2 hours wasted just for claiming bike....It was not a good experience 😢

Verification sign for petrol tank empty 506. Signned approval of Railway officer 4007. Loading 3008. The way they treat you will start to feel like your an accused criminal.9. Any Government approved proof will be invalided unless you pay the cash they ask10. After all this you have to pay the Govt fixed value for the transportation of your bike.11. All the officers have a cut in it so approaching them directly they will say that the photo doesnt match with the proof... You have get a gezzetted signature to prove it.Final words... Government has died in India. India is running on Cash fueled engine.So please use the private sector... I am ashamed to say this but its the truth.

Worst experience. Ppl dont allow you to pick your bike and charges Rs.450 for picking from platform, getting gate pass (Rs.50) and unpacking.Bike has to be picked with in 6hrs of unloading on to the platform else Rs.10/hr.

We have to take the vehicle from platform....lot of people come to us by offering help to us ...its all form money....dnt take their help the system is very easy. Show the slip to rpf in emtrance gate they will show u the office. Go there and clear ir consignment and while taking outiide shoe the delivery challan to rpf.thats all. While taking ur vehicle as luggage on the same train, only pay for packing to the people there, dont pay for loading, unloading or unpacking. Once you get the receipt from parcel office, it is their responsibilty to load. Also unloading and unpacking will be done at the destination railway station at free of cost. Dont pay more than 300.

Horrible response....I visited four times to collect my parcel but irresponsible response and behaviour, later they told me that your parcel was arrived on 11 Feb and forced me to pay storage charges upto 17 Feb.Same government officials attitude.

Guys if you want to parcel bikes to any state, make it before 2:00pm and make it directly in counter and make the packing outside, so this make less cost, Because its full of agents and asking high wages for all...
