Oldest pen shop in Chennai. They have been selling and making pens for a long time. Gem&Co is the manufacturer of GAMA Pens. Must visit this shop atleast once if you are in this area. They have a wide varieties of pens from various price points for sale. You are sure to find one that you like. The sales person in store is also very polite and is very knowledgeable about pens. I purchased a waterman expert fountain pen for a decent price from this store. overall a good store.

After reading the reviews here, I visited the place and asked for a pen which writes with a bold stroke. The person at the counter was a little bit impatient and said that the pen costs Rs 2000. I had asked for a less expensive option but the sales person said that the pen is used by Dr Kalaignar Karunanithi and so it is expensive. The shop also has Bril Ink colours ( Turquoise Blue, Laurel Rose and Violet colour) which are not available anywhere else as far as I know.

I bought two fountain pens from Gama . They are literally fountains. Both leak like a fountain. I took one to them , the gentleman at the store did something , but the leak continues. All this hype over locally made stationery is best ignored.

I got a gama pen from this shop on 9th July.It writes very well.Its cost is 1400 but the pen is worth for the money. The best Indian pen manufacturer .

Centennial Living Stationery Store at Parrys corner -just opposite to Madras High court. All brand pens are available in one place. Paradise for those who love ink pens. Better to write handmade gamma pens with their own wood products than expensive pens. But cards / any other digital payment wont be accepted- thats why I gave 4 star.

I made sure I visit this place when I went to Chennai. The proprietor Mr. Pratap is a fine gentleman with deep knowledge on fountain pens. The quaint old place reminds you of a Victorian era store straight from a Charles Dickens novel. A massive wooden pen hanging from the ceiling invites you. And a Neon board reads For Writing Comfort, Gama pens. This was true. Gama offers quality and fine craftsmanship for very affordable prices. I bought the ever classic Gama Forever and two ink bottles. The pen is an absolute delight to write with. Gem & co is true to its name, that it is a gem. My only regret is I couldnt spend more time in the shop with Mr. Pratap.

Ve visited more than twice... One f the very famous GAMA pens... From INDIA to the world. Big bulky pens... I think I have the last pen they produced WIC is way too huge. Green emerald... They r very unique.

You can try number of pens available. Place accepts only cash payments. Easy to identify the store from road and there is no parking lot for structure.

Been searching for this pen since 2014. Camlin used to make a very similar model but for some reason it wasnt available. Very glad that I could get it here. Was hoping to get some calligraphy pens but I couldnt find what I was looking for

Excellent place. Like disneyland for fountain pen lovers. They have both handmade and moulded pens. The fountain pens (their own brand GAMA) are priced starting from just 55. They actually have hand made ebonite pens!Only con is the pens are mostly retro designed and most of their designs have been copied by many other companies. So this place may not be for you if you like only very modern-looking pens like the parkers. Otherwise a must-visit for fountain pen users.

But they are not abreast with the market trend. Collections are also limited. If you are sure what you want you can go and buy. If you want to discuss with them before buying one, you may not get proper response.

I have not visited this place, but Thalaivar Kalaignar Dr. Karunanidhi used to buy pen from this store only. You can ask for the special Kalaignar pen in this store.I want to visit the store soon and buy one for me.

I dont know why people always give free advertisement to this shop. I had a very bad experience since all the three visits. lack of collections, lack of customer service, even no one will get up from there seat and show you the models they have. Pathetic. I bought 3 Gama fountain pens to my surprise all were leaking
