Had a very smooth process of getting my marriage certificate....timings for issuing the certificate is 11am-4pm currently. Do call and confirm before visiting.... overall good experience

Procedure for applying Christian marriage certificate, check with the certificate from church, come by 9:45 am, there is a person to write a application attach marriage certificate both boy and girls Id proof one copy. Pay 50 rupees fee for the person.Once u come to counter, they will get the application ansd ask you to wait for some 1 hour, depending on crowd. Than pay 40 rs only in cars payment and they will give a receipt.After some 1 week or more , u can come back with receipt and get Christian marriage certificate.

Went there for Marriage registration - it said from 11 am till 4 pm we can get the documents. However it seems the respected madams watch is slow (in the morning alone) they opened the window door only at 11.30am. However we people are waiting there from 10am. So.. you people make sure before going there you must not have any other work for the day. Because you need to spend 3 hrs for 5 mins work.

If I had a option to give 0 star I would definitely recommend that! People working in office how can they even think that people will spend half day in that place!! For submitting documents and getting a receipt from them I had to wait patiently for 4 hrs! Is this a joke? I dont know why the government offices are still operating at such a low and slow rate!

Had one of the worst experiences ever... there isnt any proper information on anything. The process is horrible and the bureaucracy is insane. I went there to get a marriage certificate and it took me almost 2 weeks and I still havent got the certificate. The staff there is impatient. Especially this male staff at the side counter. Just impatient and no empathy.

Working days : Monday to Friday (9 to 4)You need to fill a form and submit that application for getting marriage certificate.After submission of form, need to wait 15 more working days to get marriage certificateform submission timing : 9am to 1 pmcertificate collection timing: 2.30pm to 4pm

Can we go and get the marriage certificate for others like Friend or friend of friend

Really so upset of the stuff what they does. actively i have applied for marriage certificate since on 06.08.19 not yet receive. there is no prompt replay and if i got a line in landline after long struggle they will enquirer and put on hold, will not replay ever. posted date on 03.03.2020.

Poor service by government authorities.Visited here for marriage certificate (Christian- G section).Inspite of all documents Submitted took note than 8 hours to give an acknowledgement receipt.Not sure when I would receive the original marriage certificate. 1 - 4 weeks expected.Do not trust the agent(Balu)outside office .Pathetic service overall.

Since Feb 2020 till present July 2020 my Christian marriage application is under process shown in the online application. All docs were submitted. Phone calls not answered :(I hope there will be a very kind IG staff who will help and send me a positive response for my marriage certificate.

Its again a typical govt. office. No one picks the call. They just cut the line. No proper response. You have to go in person to get any small information that you need. Doesnt matter where you are in Tamil Nadu. They dont understand our pain of traveling. Inspite of all they will look at you like an enemy if you go with any work. Disgusting. Have to improve a lot. I m sorry if my comments offend anyone. This is just my views and not to offend anyone.

Compared to other govt offices they are pretty good.Staffs are supportive, soft and assistive

The service is quite time consuming and there is no time schedule being maintained for the service.minimum time to get a document registered is two hrs even after uploading and getting a time slot the next day..its better registration department can verify the document on first day and on second day they can give time for customer for documents registration

Surprisingly friendly people for a Government office. Work gets done without much of a hassle.

Respected Sir / Madam,one of my friend Selvi. M. Alamelu, (Unmarried) she wanted to adopt her elder sister son for her all her rites & customs and other purposes and she made a Adoption Deed. She went with the Adoption Deed to register in SRO Purasawalkam, Chennai - 7 Office on 27-7-2016, The Respected Registrar Madam, advised her regarding adoption only at the age between 12 to 15 only, the said Adoption male age is 28 years (unmarried) and from born of his life he is survived by Selvi. M. Alamelu. please give me a advice how adopt in this stage and what is the procedure, please explains without hesitate, kindly how to do pl.for your kind reference one adoption book below followed by me is it right?7. Capacity of male Hindu to take in adoption.-Any male Hindu who is of sound mind and is not a minor has the capacity to take a son or a daughter in adoption:Provided that, if he has a wife living, he shall not adopt except with the consent of his wife unless the wife has completely and finally renounced the world or has ceased to be a Hindu or has been declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be of unsound mind.Explanation.- If a person has more than one wife living at the time of adoption, the consent of all the wives in necessary unless the consent of any one of them is unnecessary for any of the reasons specified in the preceding priviso.

The government implements a new software for online registration for societies.In pilot scheme of this software was said to unsuccessful.In this condition it will come into force and is to be implementing on 10.Dec,2018.All the unwanted information in this software should be removed from this software and implemented as user friendly one

They proved it to be a government office yet again...no proper response when ever we call...so rude in answering our queries...while talking with them over the phone that clerk hung up the call on me without answering my query...over all i had a very bad experience...
