I was a student of IMS Anna Nagar - CAT 2018 batch.The faculty at IMS give individual attention to every individual and the problems discussed in the class make one’s basics sound. The SimCATs offered by IMS have a level of difficulty, which is close to that of the actual CAT. Thus, taking regular mocks and analyzing my mistakes proved to be a very good routine to improve my scores and prepare for CAT. The section-wise and chapter- wise tests that were provided on my IMS portal helped me in working on my weaknesses and improved my speed .Also the problems in the books CAT 500 and RC 100 helped me in refreshing my concepts and solving them served as an ideal finishing touch before the CAT exam. Later after my IIM Calls, the GD-PI training provided was again immensely helpful – especially the Achievers workshop, which streamlined my Current Affairs preparation; and the interview feedback process helped me in knowing ‘what to work on’ to be optimally prepared for the interviews. Joined IMS for test series and found the ananlysis part pretty useful. Each SIMCAT imparted solid learnings. It was such a huge boost in my CAT prep. I had enrolled for the gd - pi - wat coaching at ims Anna Nagar having cracked the CAT examination. Having had bad experiences with another coaching center in the past, my first thought into getting tutored was reluctance. Ims Anna nagar was more like a chance to me, having had the first few steps into the institute hesitatingly, thinking Id have the similar experience as I had in the past. But the very first class turned my opinion upside down. My first class was on WAT and it was taught by Raghu sir, and the experience turned out to be a gem. Our strengths were limited as were working professionals and havent prepared for CAT/ GMAT in a very long time. Our focus was strictly in securing the seat for a specific program - IIM-Trichys PGPBM program. IMS Anna Nagar has been instrumental to our success in cracking the written exam. By guiding us to the MAT format written exams, IMS gave us a great starting point and structure to the preparation. At our own pace, within the limited timeline, we were able to study and take mock exams, both at home and the centre. Badri streamlined the topics for the exam and offered quick short-cuts and obvious easy-wins under the complex concepts. IMS study materials are extensive and reinforced the foundation. We couldnt have covered all those wide ranging topics without IMS help.Manimegalai and Sathiya were available at all times to answer our queries and to make the course available for us within strict, almost impossible, time constraints. When the call came for the personal interview, once again, by making an expert available to guide us within a couple of days, IMS saved our day.
