Okay lets be honest fir a second here. When I check into a hotel I expect a star treatment, after all I am the guest and India preaches atithi Devo bhava. So right off the bat I was a little disappointed. Reception people were warm and welcoming. The facade of the hotel gave me hope. But then I went up to the room I was assigned. It was a twin bedroom and quite small. Add an extra bed to that and there isnt enough room to breath. We shared our room with a couple of surprise roommates - ants with rather large bodies. I mean I consider myself a nature lover but if I wanted ants I wouldve pitched a tent out in the wild. I was not given a tea tray which was disappointing. I like the ordeal of making green tea in the morning, makes me feel useful. So that was a bust. Room service was a little slow for my taste. The AC was fine. I had a thermostat in the room which meant I had a very peaceful night, which brings me to the fact that I didnt hear a peep from the outside world all night - not a peep. The breakfast buffet in the morning made up for almost all of last nights atrocities. It was a mixed spread from South India (idli, vada, uttapam, vada curry, condiments) and the West (pancakes, hash browns, cereals, toasts, jams, butter, syrup), along with my morning essentials, i.e. coffee and tea. Thats all upto day1. Now I am out in the town. Will update as I go.

I booked an executive deluxe room(room no 2013 over makemytrip) on last Saturday(2-6-2018) for a day with my family. Initially, their approach is good and gave the room very fastly. I went to the room and checked there is no king size bed for my family with 2 young kids. It seems they gave a room with two separate single bed, its very hard for us to manage with 2 kids. Also TV remote is not working. I went there the reception and asked to change the room because of 2 single bed. They said its not possible, all the other rooms are full, if you are interested we will join both the beds for you. I dont have other other option and agreed to the same. Anyway its good for me, I told TV remote is not working they said we will send a room service guy to fix the tv remote issue. After 30 minutes one room service guy came to the room and checked the TV remote. (It seems it does not have a battery and it is all not all related to TV and setoff box ). He simply checked any spare batter from his shirt pocket and said - Sorry sir there is nothing now. Will give you back in few mins and went off. My kids are very eager to watch kids cartoon channel and made me change the channel In TV it is not at all working when I change the channel, the volume is down. When I change the volume button, again volume is down. Its really weird. Anyway, I have waited for more than 1.5 hours, Again the same room service guy came and asked - Sir I missed my two thousand rupees note here in your room while searching tv remote battery in my shirt pocket here. I got fed up and frustrated(He is trying to cheat like getting money from us), it seems this guy spent less than a minute in my room while checked the tv remote. I shouted like anything and asked to go away from the room. Again 30 min back, he came with 2 more hotel staffs(Guess they are in charge of service manager) They gave the new TV remote and other hotel staff asked the room service guy to check 2000 rupee note in the room. I got tensed and what nonsense they are doing here. I shouted them like - Are you treating your customers/guest like this? Other few staffs came in and made me cool & said - Sorry sir he missed his 2000 rupees note somewhere, he got tensed so we asked you. You carry on they said and went. It really made me feel very hard and bad there. I recommend to all family peoples. dont book the room here. They are treating their customers very rude and cheating at all. Stay away from this hotel. Thank you

5 star for food quality and price. Had Veg thali with my family.. very sufficient quantity and nice taste. They served extra Gulab Jamuns to my kids which they asked without any extra cost.

Excellent location, just in front of Chennai Egmore station with all kinds of conveyences at door step.Attached restaurant has good ambience for families. House keeping and room service needs improvement. May be, the basic accommodation, Standard AC which we availed is a bit ignored. The deluxe rooms really appeared very good and far better. One great advantage is that, this hotel provides you 24 hrs check out. Reception staff were really nice as the check in and check out were executed very smoothly. Over all, a good hotel with good amenities, but better opt for delux room accommodation

Been there to attend a official function. Good hotel. Nice tasty food both non vegetarian and vegetarian. Value for money.Located in the heart of the city. Just opposite to Chennai Egmore Railway Station. Spacious with ample of car parking space available.Approach is little camouflaged and crumpled. Had a pleasant stay,loved the bfast,service was ok & the workers over there will be after you for tips & more importantly dont pay ... do pay the money for your stay while you check out because sometimes v dont get the confirmation msg after v done with the payment so its a big deal... & if you are getting back to your by train one of the station entrances is just opp to the hotel,so thats the best thing abt the hotel.If the hotel management do read the reviews pls do look into the bathroom closets the flush buttons they didnt work in both of the deluxe & superior rooms we stayed.Other than that its really a good,economical & safe hotel to stay.Loved your vadacurry guys🙂

Great place in EGMORE, prime location opposite to egmore station makes it one of best places to visit, food services is good , has to halls for mini functions upto 100 t0 200 people, ample parking with staff and safe place , the staff hear are polite and well mannered, rates are very reasonable, for hall you can talk to the manager and make it with in your budget

A nice hotel to stay in whether you are on a business trip or on a vacation! It is very conveniently located just opposite to the Egmore Railway Station. So no need for a taxi or auto - you can just amble across wheeling in your luggage after alighting from the train. Room is comfy; the toilet is not. Bulky persons might find it positively inconvenient using the toilet (or the bathroom). Earlier the maintenance was very good but now things appear to have deteriorated. You can see accumulated dirt and grime in bath and toilet. A fellow guest mentioned seeing a cockroach or two in his room. Maintenance staff better take note.Lack of bottled water and coffee maker in the room is a definite minus point.

I stayed with family for 1 week. The room is full of cockroaches, house keeping must be improved. I felt they are bit rude.

The main advantage of the hotel is it is very near to Egmore railway station (Opposite to railway station). The hotel looks good in exterior but dont expect the same in interior. The hotel offers standard A/C rooms at very high price, which is too small, even difficult to walk itself (photos attached). The persons who are booking room through online please keep that in mind. The staff behavior is average.

We enjoyed our stay at hotel Chandra Park. It is decent hotel and very easy to access. Rooms are spacious enough.Check-in time took time, even though we confirmed our check-in in advance. We had to wait more than half an hour. SInce we are getting late to our presentation meeting. Upon couple of requests tempory accomaccommodation is provided.Hotel has car parking, restaurant etc...and its peaceful too.

Good budget hotel. Prime location. All amenities are too close. But dont order tea or coffee through room service. They will charge you 50rs for a glass of each which is absolutely looting. If you ask for water bolltle they will charge you more than MRP with TAX. Other than that it is a nice place and couple & Family friendly hotel.

The room was in some old building in a corner. Not sure if such a poor room was given just as the booking was done in online. The entry to hotel was looking beautiful and marvelous. But the room for us was in some old building of Chandra Park. The room was in poor condition. Toilet was at its worst state. No toiletries were provided. Showers were not working. Need to understand if all the rooms are in this condition, or if the persons booking online with some offers are given such worst rooms.... Positive was its location. But there are better hotels nearby...

Best we are regular visitor here we are from Nagpur and from 1st time we visited Chennai we are. Staying at this hotel good breakfast , rooms are cozy many types of rooms are available here suite , superior etc should visit.......

I stayed there for five days forth floor rooms (4017) are good showers are working well even though not enough space for two with our luggages. Then we travelled to Bangaloor. Again we came back to Egmore after finishing our two days visit in Bangaloor and Mysore. Then hotel gave us third floor (3016) rooms which bathrooms are not working well, when Im bathing suddenly black colour water came from showers. Dirty water... it came more than 30 munites. Front desk told it would be ok after some time it was the worst experience I had in India. Breakfast serve as buffet it was ok with many varieties. Staff is good and helpful.

Hotel is situated opposite to egmore railway station. But the entrance is difficult to spot in a moving traffic and sometimes the approach road is single way at certain times of the day. So the reach is confusing. Hosts were amicable. The room was clean. Bathrooms were very tiny. Roomservice provide a tasty, non spicy, hygienic food. Overall experience was neutral.

First thing... The food here is very very worst. Complimentary breakfast idly dosas were prepared with old batter. Food served in room service at night was also worst. Cost for the quality and quantity of food they give is very bad. Even after staying in a hotel with restaurant, was forced to go out and eat.Next ... Room.. they are still in 1990 s fixing yellow bulbs... WTH.... All the hotels have shifted to good white LED lighting.Staff was good enough.Overall... Will never go there again.

This place using Centerlzies Ac. Ac effect is good and rooms all are neat and clean. But in this hotel ac not maintaining well. Rooms full of smoking and bad smell. Dont choose superior room. This kind of rooms like a dark room. No ventilations in this room. If you stayed more than one day surely you will get a disease. Food are good. But avoid vada.

Pluses: just opposite the egmore station.Minunes: cleanliness & customer service. Standard rooms are little bigger than bathrooms. There is no LCD TV only a small 20 inch hair moniter type TV. Air conditioniners are may be 10 years old. Good if you want convenient location.

Last week I stayed superior room, but rooms are not clear properly and cockroach was there. then many light fused. 3 years back we use to stay your hotel only. at the time it was good. now not good.

Stayed in a standard room. It was not ok for a mini room for ₹ 1500. Didnt Bed and bedding not good. But advantage is its just opposite to Chennai Egmore station when you arrive at odd hours. Restaurant is good.

I have booked a standard room but charged around 1600. The room is like a single bedroom and doesn’t even provide basic things like soap, towel etc. I had to ask for it. The bathroom was not maintained clean. Not a good experience overall. They have showned the suite room in the website. If you see the standard room you will never go there.

A typical railway station hotel... Very average...Toilets and commodes stinking.Not even towels are given....The hotel has got very strict rules, which would delight customers, ironically.....1. Your rooms access card becomes invalid during your stay (in 6 hours). You have to revalidate your card, from the receptionWell, the house keeping will be able to open your room, even without your permission....2. Complimentary breakfast has roughly very few options... Well, you can order anything you want and pay for them.... Somebody who has commented that the breakfast was excellent, should have been in Utopia...3. Your WiFi password will be invalid every 6 hours... You hav to go and collect a new password from the reception...4. You have to patiently wait to get your room allotted though you have booked already...5. Rates are highly fluctuating... Dont get annoyed if you are given a different tariff while you land at the hotel...Totally, What the hell?

Rooms were clean and neat. But the service was really bad. We were 12 members and from Bangalore. When we asked for hot water, he flatly denied it and told its not required in Chennai, since the weather is too hot and asked us to take bath in cold water. When we raised our voice and insisted on hot water, he did get us 4 buckets of too hot water and 3 of us had to share it by managing by mixing it with cold water. Pathetic service. Management, please teach your manager what does hospitality, mean.I would definitely not recommend it to anyone.

I booked the suite through make my trip. They gave normal room. Front desk person had not treated us a guest. Me and my husband carried our luggage to the room. They were showing partiality. Breakfast is not up-to the level. They were treating the dating couple with best manner.

We around 3.30pm checked in to 3rd floor Superior room no. 3028, high dampness as well as AC was not working. informed to Reception, after some time, technician came and told that AC requires service and suggested to shift to another room. After several calls to front office, they shifted the new superior room in 4th floor room no. 4027 after 3hrs. because of that we could not able to go out side. Somehow, we settled after such a worst experience. Since, my childhood, same hotel named Chandra, had very good ambience till last year. In room no. 4027 also, we had faced problem in opening the room using the room Key Card. In Lift, full of bad smell. This time, very horrible experience because of it.Ananth M S
