The entry and exit options for this station is very poorly maintained. There is no foot over bridge to cross the rail lines.

The railway station was initially known as Tondiarpet marshalling yard railway station and later renamed to V. O. C.The railway station is mostly used by railway employees since it is very close to many railway establishments. This station is mostly visited by rail fans for rail fanning since it has a big railway yard. Chennai Port Trust ground is close to this railway station. However, it lacks several basic amenities.

Decent railway station

Its a small station with all the necessary amanities but you won’t find any luxuries in here. It just serves the purpose with some basic ingredients needed to board and deboard your train. The food is typically south indian snacks with some north indian stuff thrown in between. The cleanliness is below par you might have to think twice before relieving your bladder.

I will say it as a very poor railway station because there is very limited amount of train service in this route that is for every 30mins or 40mins... Trains in this route will be mostly crowded in the morning, evening and night time .To say about this station it will not even have water facility, parking facility, electronic ticket facility etc...The passenger flow in this station is comparatively low...Im local resident of this place,Ive been using this train for every day to my college .i used to spare my life to travel in this train as they are very heavily crowded

Station is not properly arranged. No lights inside the shades at night.

Gummidipoondi train route. There is passage that can be used by only one at a time. That passage is the only entrance from the east :( lot more development is required.

Whenever crossing this station,the mobile network will go off. Less crowded station with Rpf station..
