Pleasant lobby. Decent swimming pool. Well furnished rooms. Old hotel often renovated. Budget hotel in the heart of the city with restaurant and bar. 2 km from Marina Sea Shore and thats good for casual walks.

Recently visited this hotel for picking up my niece, while she finishes her exam.The treatment for the non-customer had been so pathetic.They dont even allow such people to enter the lobby and no place to sit outside.While evaluating star rates of hotels, these kind of points also should be considered.

Good 4star experience. Good value for money nowadays when business is less. Courteous staff at reception, house keeping and at parking. Very neat and cool room. Clean beds with duvet. Lastly I will recommend to take the breakfast option, it was worth every penny (if ur into South Indian cuisine)I didnt use the pool and other amenities as I was busy. Also they didnt provide blanket when I called reception. If you have doubt to stay here vs other hotels, I will recommend staying here... ibibo gave a good deal. Hassle free check in and check out... ! Marina Beach, santhome church and express Avenue mall are close by.. I felt safe to stay with mom too. (Picture I put here is the view from window ).

Very poor maintenance. The receptionist who took Xerox of our Id cards was having running nose. He rubbed his nose and touched the Aadhar ID cards. The room was freezing cold though we kept the temperature in 30. The toilets and even the washbasin is blocked. As its a short trip. I prefer to fly back home and use the washroom at home than using it here. Pathetic.

Hotel Savera, a landmark in Chennai, this hotel rated 4 stars.Wow, nice function hall with excellent decoration and seating arrangements.Amazing experience, better than what we expected.Food was satisfactory, the service was decent,  and comfortable.All in all had a very pleasant time and am looking forward to the next visit.

Visited the restaurant today and had a delightful dinner. Their hospitality was outstanding and the food served was delicious. But the fruit salad served was hardly managed to swallow as the fruits were sliced into large pieces. However a nice restaurant to be visited ☺️

Had been to Chennai for USA visa interview and I stayed at Savera Hotel. Overall a pleasant stay considering the pandemic times and the challenges it poses especially for the hospitality sector. Coming to specifics, building is old so expect the rooms to be the same, my advice would be to pick an executive room with a complimentary breakfast(try the hot crispy vadas and thank me later). Room service is poor(again spare of thought because of corona they are working at reduced manpower but they do the job nevertheless). Use the complimentary breakfast to the fullest but dont ever take the room dine-in service, exuberantly priced.In the end Id say if you are looking for a place to stay close to the consulate and marina beach I recommend this place

First hotel after covid my fav. Spot

Probably one of the prominent hotels in the last 3 decades or so on RK Salai in Chennai. Famous for its restaurants like Piano, Minar on the roof top, Coffee shop The Brew, resto bar Bay 146, Hotel Savera has been a place to go for many. Its been on the timeline for long and hence it looks old, some renovations done some to be done. Go there for good food, reasonable service, decent rooms for stay right in the heart of the Chennai city.

I from Ukrain came to India for my business visit and stayed at savera hotel 14 days ,my stay was excellent. Here service is good. Nice rooms. Always helpful staff. exapecilly Mr PRASAD the floor manager and his team very polite. Im impressed by thair service. Definitely I will recommend this hotel

This hotel has been there for decades and most prefer to stay here. Its quite homely and caters to different tastes. Location is excellent in the heart of city and accessible to all prominent places in chennai with ease. Airport would be half an hour to 40 mts drive and railway station abt 20 mts.Hotel staff speaks local language as well as hindi and english. Got bar and restaurant facility and ample parking space. Famous marina beach is close by reachable in 10 mts.Property is well maintained with lot of attention to cleanliness and hygiene. Staff is highly cooperative and sober. I am sure you wont regret your stay.

The toilets must be cleaned properly. In the first floor when there are 2 functions, the wash area and the toilets are water logged. There are many chances of people falling down. Please keep a person to take care of this continuously when the two halls have functions.Yesterday if I had not been cautious, I would have had a bad fall.Please take care of this.

The stay here was very comfortable and rooms are pretty spacious. Well located. Price is reasonable for the cost. Travelers like me to Chennai will definitely feel at home here. Food is pretty ok.

Food is great... Well beyond great... But rooms are Not maintained well.. service is okayish... Rooms are quite small... No big difference is there between Standard room and Delux Room... Breakfast which they offer for free is awesome...

Over rated. Rooms are old with patches on the wall. Dusty windows covered with screens. For business standard, the room did not live up to the expectations I had and everything was old in the room. Overall, I expected more out of a classy hotel but turned out to be a nightmare..

Visited Savara for the Onam Sadya. Food it really fantastic but they overbooked and made everybody to wait for a while. They managed the crowd.

South indian themed restaurant offered sadhya meals for Onam 2021. The thali was heavily loaded with kerala special items . Authenticity was a tad less and improvements . But service was top notch and the ambience was awesome. Good place to hangout with friends and family with covid protocols in place .

Greetings by security cleanliness worth for money that way good - but still they need to improve - I asked to open safety locker - 4 times called no response - person brought coffee he insist to pay by cash immediately - they told swimming pool and gym closed for Sunday - that area they need to consider better chances for them to improve More

Went to malgudi restaurant. I am a vegetarian and there was not much of variety for veggies. Apollo paneer (starter) was good indeed.

Brew Room was excellent. Filter coffee and ambience and service was excellent.

Horrible experience staying here , rooms are not clean at all, when you enquire this regarding to the reception, they will upgrade it to next room which will be dirty as hell. Was allocated with room number 404 in the beginning where i found the cot is broken , painting in the wall is peeled off and hanging. Informing this to the management, they upgraded to room number 930 , where it was totally dirty. Attaching photos of room 930 will give the review about Savera. Dont trust the brand anymore.

Valet parking is not available its based only if you own a luxury car.Great place to stay and affordable if its booked via online. In room dining is too expensive and the quality is not worth the price.

Disappointed with my stay here, such a pathetic way of having towel with a hole. Old worn out, these r basic things to be taken care for the guest. Room had a bad smell and floor was very dusty.Will not stay here ever again.

One of the best luxurious hotels in chennai its so pleasant ,neat and clean really food are so delicious and yuppie however I sawed some freedom fighters and some of our tamilnadhu politicians pictures in decor thats show how famous from past decades the infrastructure are mind blowing as same free peacefully interior work and moreover they are strictly flowing covid-19 Goverment instructions thats really good 👍 the waiters are also so humble and kindful , in additionally I used Google maps only to come here thats really convinet and easy to search Eventhough traffic is are not highly recommended Savera Hotel ❤👍

Lodging is good. Due to uncleaned carpets in the lobby, in some places you may feel a bit fungus smell. Before ordering in the restaurant, Malgudi, please decide your complete menu as there is limitation in the varieties. We called our friend also for dinner but was completely unsatisfied due to very limited vegetarian menu

Nice place. Has parking facility. Has few cafe nearby and also at ground floor. Nice and food. Food quality wise 5 out of 5. And they have part halls which is also quite nice and spacious.

It was ok. Not too fancy. Room was clean. Anyway I stayed for 1 day only. So not much could be seen.

We went to reception. They arranged it perfectly and they are not allowing bike parking in the main gate. Thats the only thing which we are not satisfied.

The decor at the rooftop restaurant was awesome. The view from here is amazing. The food was good in the buffet with complimentary beers and mocktails! The service was warm and welcoming.

The stay was very good.We were 4 guests and booked two rooms.We requested both the rooms together.to our surprise they have given two rooms with internal access.We have not experienced such a facility in any other hotel.The staff were good.Room service was quick

Honestly I like your services provided to customers. I would like to say that Savera Hotel provides best services to their guests as i experience in these Five days. Your food quality, room services are also good. One more thing behaviour of your staff is very friendly as i experienced here.The most important thing I like here is that you provides Holy Books like The Holy Bible, The Quran, The Bhagvad Gita in the rooms for the reading.

This was the 3rd Time I had stayed in this hotel..twice I was satisfied but this time was not that satisfied. The breakfast supplied very late at 10Am though I requested at 9AM and very few options in the breakfast..looks like they were not interested in the menu option since there were less of the occupants. The fridge inside was giving lot of problems I had to call very frequently to get it rectified. finally they replaced with the new one. Room were not that clean with old bathroom fittings rusted knobs. surroundings was not clean . Overall not satisfied.

Very disappointed booked it for a colleague for 3 nights. Rooms were dirty including mould on headboards. Changed room twice with not much improvements. Finally just abandoned and moved to a better hotel. Iconic name in chennai disappointed. Only bright side staff saw the issues and moved rooms twice.
