Food:Gunpowder potatoes - Great appetizing appetizer; has got the right local masala kick with the sauteed onions; perfect to munch onPaneer tikka butter masala with rumali roti - This was a disappointment since the whole gravy was dominated only by tomatoes and their sweet taste; the paneer was immersed like big blocks nullifying the gravy flavourDelhi tikka paneer Biryani - Yet again, paneer played the spoilsport; the taste of the biryani was great but the pieces were here and there with great spicy kick to itBombay Monsoon chai - Bombay chai tastes great even though they dont come out on the top of all the teas out there; great kick with frothy milkAmbience/Price:Their setup is good with great lighting and seating space. The parking too was decent but the service was quiet here and there, naaa.Above all the pricing was not satisfactory, maybe I could have given a shot at their NV dishes too.*Personal rating would be 3.5
It is a nice decent family restaurant. Neat arrangements. But this place suits mostly for high-end people like upper middle class due to its expensive rates. If price was nominal then I think this will be such a welcoming resturant for everyone.
A wonderful place to be at to have some Desi fusion food. The ambience was like a cocktail. Modern lighting with vintage decor. A perfect place to dine in with family and friends. They have a green house and seating in it as well. The food is really good. The meat was succulent and juicy. The fish was cooked really well although it was a pretty basic dish. Loved the combinations of breads and the meat. Similarly the combinations with the rice and curries. On the whole, its pricey but on the other hand you wont regret dining at this place.
1. Food is tasty and less oily..Qty is good..2. Service is not so good(dont understand the logic of charging 10% towards service charge with such not so good service)3. Now most important thing is cost.My personal view is, it is unnecessarily high rate(double than what you can get in another good hotel) for this average hotel4.Extremely short food menu..no much options.5.Ambiance is average (college road branch)Final verdict- Avoid if you can...but if your purse is overloaded with cash ,this is the place to reduce its weight
The food is very good. One of the best places for North Indian food in Chennai. Ambience is rustic and quirky.
It is a nice restaurant predominantly non veg . However the panner tikka n veg kebab were nice! Valet parking available. Clean n nice. Service charges ten percent extra with the bill applicable. It is a bit unusual.
Food was very average, fish wasnt good but they took it from the bill. Lassi was the only item that I enjoyed. Overrated
Love the ambience, with the visible kitchen. It was a bit expensive for me however the quality was amazing. Wouldnt call it value for money but a place for business / formal lunch or dinners.
Awesome food. very tasty. customer service superb.👌
Pretty place to chill out. Their food is really good. Mutton is as tender as it can get. Love the outdoor-ish seating. The staff is superb. Very attentive and polite. And quick service
Good food. Good ambience. Very cool decor. Quick service.
If you want to spend some special time with your loved ones this is the place to go. The main attraction of this place is the ambience. The restaurant is built in an Urban House kind of structure with glass walled study rooms, backyard gardens to enjoy a good tea in the afternoon, banquet halls and a rooftop dining as well. The menu is pretty exhaustive with favourites from all over India specially focusing on Bombay favourites. The only drawback that this place have is the price. The menu is not at all value for money. But on the taste side you cannot complain. So if you want to spend some cozy time with your loved ones and you dont have problem to cash out some extra bucks this is the place to go.
Always a nice place for dinner. Though limited number of items, all items are good. Ambience too good.
Food was good but very expensive. Not worth the money spent. The service was very pathetic. They think food is given for free. Please teach your people on how to respect customers and treat everyone equally.
Really nice food especially their butter naan and garlic naan
Food good but ambience needs improvement especially Rest Room
Very good restaurant. All may visit with out reservation.
A high end restaurant with contemporary decor and dining. Tikka biriyani and guntur podi chicken is yum !
Good ambience. Kinda overpriced.
This definitely gives me lot of happiness to see that Bombay brassiere is back in action at Nungambakkam and that too with the original tag. I always loved the location and ambience of this place, specially the outdoor seating! This is one of the few places in Chennai that serves food from all over India, traditional food with a modern twist! We started our evening with Jaipur Gulabo. what attracted me to this drink was offcourse the name! But was amazed with its taste and presentation. The papad bowl was not only colourful but came with variety of papads and dips. My favourite being the salsa dip!The aam papad paneer was soft silky paneer costed in dry sweet mango sauce. It had a tangy and sweet flavour!Naga ghost pepper wings! Naga peppers are one of the spiciest and that is used to make this dish. The flavour is absolutely stunning if you are ready to handle the heat. The Calcutta club fish fry was the most amazing dish! The fish was fresh the kasundi sauce used was full of flavour and fried to perfect crispiness! The chilli cheese kulcha was a very creative blend of chilli cheese and kulcha. Kulcha that usually comes as a bread with mains came with a twist like a appetizer! The cheese just oozed out with a bite. The Kashmiri naan kebab was a beauty of a dish. This can be had as an appetizer or a main, served with a walnut dip. It truly is a kashmiri beauty! The finale is always sweet and these desserts were indian, but exotic! Jalebi with rabri, amritsari kulfi and Anglo Indian bread pudding. Presentation was perfect, taste was absolutely stunning!
Bombay Brasserie is a quite old place in Chennai. The ambience is good and simple which gives us a warmth feel. The Cracking Tamatar Soup was the best dish and the best Tamatar soup that I have tasted in Chennai.. It has a diffrent flavour where you would feel the taste of soup would remain for a quite a long time. The service is slow and should improve their pace of the serving. The cost is very much high and it is once a try restaurant because of the Tamatar soup they serve.
One of my favourite restaurants in the city! Modern Indian food done so beautifully and absolutely love the menu. Probably the dishes served here arent available in any other restaurant in Chennai. They have few branches in Chennai and I visited the one next to Marina. The glass walls and the props used to decorate the place is very unique and beautiful. A great place to for lunch.I tried the Bombay chicken biryani which has such soft and succulent chicken pieces and perfectly cooked rice. The calcutta club fish fry is worth a million dollars. Last but not the least the Amritsari kulfa is a visual delight and must try in bombay brasserie.
Ambience - the place has an indoor and a kind of outdoor seating. By outdoor, what i mean is they have an ac room with a view of the garden and shrubs surrounding it. For people who have lived in chennai know how humid it gets and i believe that the setup is amazing for those who want a refreshing and beautiful view along with the food. The place had a soothing effect on you. The decor is minimalistic yet on point and enhances the whole vibe of place.Staff - the staff is polite and courteous. They take special care of your needs so in case of any clarification on any dish or suggestions, ask away!Menu - small and precise, this menu provides an amazing variety of food and will not disappoint you.Food --Drinks- the drinks ordered were masala coke and guava chilly mocktail. Theres a huge variety of mocktails available apart from the menu as well. The taste was just so correct. As for the guava mocktail, the amount of chilly complementing the taste of guava was mind blowing. The masala soda was very tangy and the taste was amazing.Gravy - i personally believe that giving taste to vegetarian food is far more difficult than the non veg counterpart. But they have excelled at it. More like the veg gravy that i had called tarkari madaledar was a mixed vegetable gravy. The taste of each vegetable was distinctive adding to the amazing taste of the food. The spices along with the veggies in it made some Amazing food. The non veg gravy ordered was salli chicken. As the description says, its tangy, its spicy and its a big yes!The breads - the breads ordered were garlic naan and butter naan. The taste of the garlic in the naan was so beautifully infused, it made it THE BEST garlic naan Ive ever had. Both the naans were so thin, crisp and yet so soft. I believe it to be absolute perfection.Desserts - one dessert that was ras-e-aam. As The description says its rasagulla with rabri and mango on the top. The rasagulla was so juicy and delicious. The taste of the mango was just so yumm. The rabri was perfectly made. The other dessert was amritsari kulfa. Its basically a kulfi topped with rose syrup and falooda on a bed of phirni. The kulfi had this amazing taste, the phirni was perfect and the falooda and rose syrup enhanced the taste multifold. The taste was absolutely delicious and perfect. It is in fact the best dessert of my life (that being said i love dessert!)And the highlight was that both of these were served over a bowl of liquid nitrogen.
Was a nice experience eating here. One of the premiere and high quality restaurants in the Nungambakkam area!Ambience - 5/5Variety of menu - 5/5Service - 5/5Space - 5/5Taste - 5/5The prices are a little expensive, but worth the money. Vegetarian Dum Biriyani is too good - the good thing is they provide sufficient quantity too!
You get the best paneer in Chennai here.
The ambience is totally good and the service. When comes to food, price is little expensive but the taste is really good . It is located adjacent to The Marinahotel.
Wouldn’t be my first choice for a gourmet restaurant. Their signature dishes like the Iranian kheema isn’t top notch, and certainly the desserts are overpriced.
Paneer as starter was really awesome.Mutton and prawn curry was awesome too. Good ambience. Dont miss booking time coz for next table youll have to wait for half an hour or more. I liked the menu card design.Food becomes cold soon, so ask them to bring one by one if you love to eat hot.Dont order Kerala fish curry, youll be disappointed if you are spice lover.Drinks need not be so costly, esp. grape nimbu juice. They forgot to give us parcel.Try it in leisure time, not when you are in hurry burry.
If you love paneer, this place is a must-visit!
If you have a set of vegetarian and non vegetarian friends and looking for a place which can make both groups happy then this is the best place to go to.... Located in center of city this place will never disappoint you... Ambience is great. Staffs are very friendly and service real quick... All their dishes in the menu is superb... Difficult to narrow down a best dish... Go for their tender coconut soup, paneer starter and main course, gulati kebab is mind blowing... Mutton Nalli will be a delight for non vegetarians
Very friendly staff, good ambiance and clean and tidy place, food was simply amazing, traditional north indian style food variety of deserts, bit pricey but worth for it
Had a great dinner with them courteous staff behavior too silent atmosphere well maintained good atmosphere sooperb visit made today at Bombay brasserie. Foods are extraordinary. Desserts juices everything are fantabulous. Elegant restaurant setup.. looking for fine dine out sure itll be a fantastic one.
Unique taste and the ice cream varieties are the best. Need to think and improve on soups. Other than that everything is fantabulous. Ambience is amazing.
Great ambience, good and tasty food. This is my regular happening place with friends, family and cousins
Quality of food has gone down. Meats are tougher than before. Came here because I had perfectly cooked kebabs and tikka last time, and was disappointed. Also, the handwash is right next to the loo. As in, the same room. Theres no other place to wash your hands and theres only one sink.
Very very bad attitude of your serverHe thinks he is.doing some favourWe do not want unpleasant situation
Fantastic food as always. I keep coming for the chur chur paratha. Yesterday we paired it with Lassoni Spinach and Tarkari Masaledar, it was divine. Keep it going! I having been coming here since 2014.
Good and simple food. But bit costly
No valet parking available. Reception desk was not manned, so we just chose any table we preferred. Food service was quick. The food by and large is average, compared to similar resturants like Bhangra and copper Chimneywhich offers similar fare. Veg briyani was sweetish due to excessive rose water, paneer aam papad was sweet again, chilli cheese kulcha was nice. Bread butter pudding was average. Not exactly a value for money place, and not much of connection to Bombay!
Visited the college road restaurant yesterday night. Not at all happy. Service was average, we had to keep calling the staff everytime we needed something. Food quality was not up to the mark. The quality which it had about one year ago, is not the same now. Most of the items are over priced now, compared to other fine dining/multi cuisine restaurant. Definitely not worth the money spent.
I loved the Ambience. But the pricing is bit on the higher side
Neet nd clean
In one word. The mixture of masala is awesome. Have a try good place for family and couples. Never forget to order juice items.
Bit overpriced. Finding the varieties could be better and more
It was lovely to visit the place...the food quality and taste are amazing...the cost is bit on the higher end but u wont regret....the different dishes here are really a treat to our taste buds...
Rich Creamy foods with decent taste. Exorbitant pricing. no value for money.meal for 2 costs 2000+.
We like to thank prem for a great service and hospitality. Biriyani tastes good, portion size is also satisfactory. The mutton recipes were not nice . They were not cooked and tasted very bland. Price was so high. The reason for minus 1 because of the price. Desert ( jalebi ) was too good. Overall this place is nice.
Quietly Highly priced.... Surprised with the utensils used for serving the food... Excellent service and polite staff
Yummy food... Lots of dishes to try.... More reason to visit them again
Hygenic and good food. Little expensive too
Came here coz we had the dine out coupon... We ordered the Malai tikka, some spicy af chicken tikka, mutton curry, a couple of rotis and yes a water bottle (mentioning that because I paid 100bucks for it). Malai tikka was awesome. Juicy large pieces easily enough for two. The chilli tikka too was amazing, super spicy and the flavours were delicious. The mutton curry was nice but we found it striking similarly to a butter chicken since it was sweet n had that buttery feel to it, absolutely loved the chur chur parota, crispy yet soft inside, had a nice spice touch to it.. Over all, good food but a tad expensive but thats okay for the price we paid..
Post covid , the restaurant is well prepared
Everything is so good about the place. Nice food, ambience and welcoming staff..
The food and the service was The best! Thanks to Mr. Prem for the wonderful experience. Will definitely recommend this place to everyone I know
Superb ambience and great quality food. Limited choices can say a bit pricey
Had an awesome experience here..! We had mutton briyani , calcutta fish fry and a mojito.. Everything was good.. The briyani was awesome..the mutton pieces were cooked with perfection. The fish fry also tasted great..!A pleasent ambience.Just go here if you want to have good time and great food. The only thing is food is expensive.
Yummy food a bit expensive but excellent ambiance. Worth the money.
A place that reminds you of Bombay with every taste. Great ambience, good set of music and delicious food. However, recently they made few changes to their menu which wasnt a great idea but most of the dishes remain unchanged. One of the favorite restaurants in town.
Loved the fish dishes and the Kulfi :-) Yummy keep it up guys...
A nice restaurant with a good north indian selection.
Its a best place to hangout with friends and family and enjoy delicious food
Wonderful a quaint little outlet of this Mumbai diner. Menu options are similar to other Bombay Brasserie outlets across the country and all food options are cooked well. Servers are polite and courteous. They have an outdoor non air-conditioned covered seating area as well. The ambience of this would be strongly recommended on monsoon afternoons. Apertifs are strongly recommended.
Ambience is good be it day or night. Food is definitely tasty but kinda pricey and less in portion.
Good for tasting variety of food. Bit costly
Good food. Nice place to spend quality time quietly in the heart of the city
Open the package and found insect on jalebi
North Indian was nice.. with great service..
Faster service and friendly neighborhood.
Amazing food, worth every bite
Too pricey. Very very miserly amount of food.Good ambience thou.
Quiet locality. Sufficient parking space. Good paneer dishes. But they have very limited menu because of the covid
Excellent quality food.Love it!Good ambience.Kashmiri naan and metre kebab too gooood.Malai chicken tikka amazingAnd biriyani is super yummyyyyyyy
Had a wonderful meal. Thanks to Prem for great service.
Fab place to dine with your family, helpful staff but the toilet was a major let down, not sure why cant they have a dry toilet with no stinky smell in it. Very good food though!!
Worst taste. Biriyani tastes like turmeric rice
Weve been regular customers of bombay brasserie for the past few years. However, since the new revamp and changes, the quality of food has become poor, food served is made with old stock products and tasted bad, wasnt cooked properly either. Despite the food being sub par, management refused to accept the fact that it wasnt cooked properly and that it was inedible. The day after, me and my family fell ill, terrible stomach ache and nauseating feeling. Please look into the quality of food delivered and also maintain properly. You really need to care for your customers .
Liked the food hated the service. Not worth the price.
Limited menu, even limited in taste... Looks like the lock down has hit hard
Very great north Indian food and the ambiance was great
The food is really good here. The paneer based starter is the best paneer Ive ever had. It also has a great selection of dessert.
What a Food. Mind blowing.
Authentic Indian & a blend of cuisines. They really serve you well & Upto your appetite.Falooda is a must try?
Amazing Indian food, Amazing Ambience. Recommending for couples and families.
Great food. Mouth watering...
