It is the air raid shelter constructed along ECR during world war 2.It was pillbox design built by cement concrete with iron plates.The narrow windows were used to position guns by troops.There are many bunkers erected along ECR but one in RK salai and another in nungambakkam are the other remaing shelters.But the environment around it was very unhygienic and open defecation is common.It was recently damaged by oil pipeline laid down and restored now.Archeological lovers can visit it .

From outside its just a bunker. But if you step inside, its an another example for, how nicely a building can evolve by the inputs of true architects and engineers. The way, they designed the rifle stand and bullet storage is just nice.

Unnoticed Historical place and mark of second world War.Located near the Kasimadu beach and fishing harbour.Outer part or exterior is restored and in a very good condition, Now fence installed, but inside some cleaning work and maintenance needed.There must be some sign board telling the history of that location.
