Jumma adhan starts at 12. 30 pm and prayer starts at 1 pm due to COVID-19. Main entrance closed, use back side entrance while going for Jummah.

Big mosque for Friday and eid namaz.

This mosque is located in a prime place Mount Road. Opposite to YMCA. The Mosque is big enough to accomodate a large crowd as it has 3 floors space. Neat, well maintained. The ground floor is carpeted and air conditioned.

Nice environment.

Tears rolled out when the imam recited Surah s. It happened for the first time in my life . The imams voice and reciting make you heal every wound spiritually. I never experienced this kind of emotion when I roam in southern India including Karnataka Andra Pradesh & Telangana. Allah has blessed the imam here with a beautiful soothing voice which can heal any thing psychologically.

As per the historical records, it was constructed between 1789 & 1795 by Muhammad Abdullah Khader Nawaz Khan Bahram Jung, a poet in the court of Eighth Nawab of Carnatic - Muhammad Ali Khan Walajah - one of the most important, renowned and longest reigned Nawabs (1749-1795). As Bahram Jung and his brother Hafiz Ahmed Khan incurred huge expenses on part of Carnatic state, on the death of Nawab Walajahs successor Nawab Ghulam Hussainy Umdat-Ul-Umra, their lands were confiscated by the British East India Company.For more, Refer: Historian S. After the judgement was passed, Mosque Affairs are shared between Wakf Board and the present custodians, hence it bears the name Nawab Fazeelathunissa Begum Sahiba Mosque & Endowments.It is located in Nandanam on the arterial Anna Salai (Mount Road), opposite YMCA College of Physical Education and Cosmopolitan Club. Nearby is the Huma Hospital. Has huge prayer areas and very large burial ground on the lands adjacent the main road.
