Very easy to deposit the donations, smooth process. No hassle
A very organized place... Got amazed by the way they handle people and the things we give to them... Simply superb 🤠 I would personally recommend this place...
Recently donated via an app .... Appreciate their efforts to fetch the usable items and hand it to needy people
Goonj NGO working for poor community education and collect old cloths distribute to rural poor community.Join working with lots of corporate ..
They are a dedicated group of people working tirelessly for the upliftment of the down-trodden. They are operating out of a marriage hall in S.Kolathur. In this center, they segregate the collected items into different groups. The best part about them is that instead of donating clothes and other items, they offer them as rewards to the people in the rural areas, in exchange for any community work that benefits these rural areas. Instead of disposing off the unusable items they receive, they convert them into other items like small bags, which are on display in their office. Nice to know that there are such devoted individuals committed to making an improvement to the lives of the needy.
Run by NGO , well organised , you can give your old clothes, utensils, toys , footwear etc , distributed to the needy
Really impressed by their concept of dignity for work. They do not believe in charity. They undertake improvement work in remote villages and provide kits to local people in return for the work they help in carrying out ( kits are prepared using clothes, crockery, foodgrains, toys, electronics etc ). They have been doing this for over 22 years now.kindly contribute to the good cause.
Excellent NGO! Doing a great service. They take everything (clothes/books/vessels etc) that is no longer required by you. They deliver this to the poor needy people , in a very innovative service oriented way !! Please support. Worthy cause !!! Reliable , trust worthy people.
Perfect place to hand your usable clothes. They are nicely seggregated and reach those in need
I would like to donate my old clothes which are in good condition. Would you arrange someone to get it? Im staying in Old Pallavaram.Does this really goes to needy ones?
Very organized. Well known NGO. We can see clothes, stationary, toys, etc. well segregated. Receipt given for any donation in material or cash.
Nice place 😌
This place accepts old clothes grocery and daily needs. They collect and distribute to needy. Also they dont demand any money its completely optional for us to donate. They dont have any home pickup, we can drop in their place.
Thumbs up for their service. They accept only cloths/stationary/things useful to needy people. Just visit and drop the items. Collect the receipt. They never ask or accept money.
They take any kind of stuff and systematically recycle/reuse them.
Good NGO with long service history
I had been a regular visitor almost every 6 months for last 2 yrs. Must say, it is a great initiative. They take almost everything, sorts them and pack them and send to various parts. They provide you a receipt as well. You guys are doing a great job. Keep it up
Excellent job. My wishes for more enhancement.
It concerns about Poor and helping the needy...
I visited the Chennai branch of Goonj. The best part is that they accept things with the smile that you feel your memories deserve. It could be toys, in good condition that your children have outgrown or the small pressure cooker you picked when you got married or started cooking with. The list could be endless. The best part is that they distribute them with a dedicated team that accepts, sorts, packs, stacks, gets transported and also hands you a receipt of things that they receive. The only thing that makes it difficult for people to reach is the location but if you dont mind driving , it seems to be a very different part and aspect of Chennai.I had visited them when they were preparing family packs for the Fani affected families. All i can say is that it is a must visit with a thought of spreading a smile on someones face.
Best place to donate used dresses and toys. Please contribute the best you can.
Wonderful organization
Good place to give away your used clothes, shoes and toys. They segregate the clothes and distribute usable clothes to the needy. Then they stich school bags, pillows for school students who sit on floor and napkins from cotton. They welcome you with water, explain what they do and give you the satisfaction that your donation of give away goes to right hands.
I love this place and love to contribute my help to them by donating. Great people and great work
Very good place to give away old clothes tp this NGO. I had many clothes in good condition which doesnt fit me anymore. Giving away those to people in need feels Great. They also recycle old clothes if not in good condition.
They accept all stuffs that you want to donate and they are consistently delivering throughout India throughout the year and also engage in disaster relief works. Great work people.
Worth to donate used items to reach poor and needy.
Well received by the authorities there while giving the parcel . All can donate the usable clothes , books which will be useful for developmental purpose of people in villages.
They clean, sort and process your old clothes and other articles to give as useful essentials like clothing kits, bags and reusable sanitary napkins for needy people in rural regions.
Shared few old clothes. It was time of fani cyclone attack on orissa. Location is a marriage hall turned into godown. Supplies to victim was getting loaded in lorry. Everyone busy so left early after dropping clothes. Check their website for more details
They collect all the used stuffs like clothes, toys, shoes, etc. Which ever is in usable condition
Best place to donate anything you dont need. These guys do an awesome job of turning your useless items to usable things for the underprivileged. Hats off guys!!!
Good Place to Donate Cloths and Children Play items
Doing a good job. I was impressed by the bag they made out of old music cassette tapes.

Absolutely wonderful staff. They gave us a tour of their facility and explained all the process. Great job guys
I have been to this place n have seen how they r working hard fr the poor people, doing grt job !
Dedicated to all types of social causes. I was personally engaged with them during Kerala flood relief.
No pickup! It was a rude response when I asked them if there is a chance of picking up old clothes
Wish everyone visit this place to know how can we help others even if we dont have money
They are not too keen to collect and accept... Their collection points work at a timing when you can not visit them without disturbing your work routine
Dedicated people doing their services without seeking publicity
I have been volunteering with Goonj for almost 1 year now and what I love about them is that they dont just give away material for free but focus on long term problems, and quality on living of the people they reach out to.
Development activities under its flagship initiative Cloth for work (CFW): from repairing roads, recharging water ponds, building bamboo.
Can improve need some advertisement and name boards
Very Good initiative of collecting clothes and other stuff required for rural areas!

Its an ngo working for the needy people. Anyone can come here to contribute their clothes, utensils, school. Materials etc
Its an NGO where you can donate your old clothes which later on donated to poor people
One of the most reliable and impactful NGO in India
This NGO is very particular about their services. Open Monday to Saturday from 9.30 to 5 pm. Only problem is you have to go personally to drop all clothing, bedding and other things to their office, no pick up service provided unless it is at least one tempo full donation.
