Lot of books available and they are flexible with returning dates. Very friendly and ready to help.

I used to borrow books from this library since the early 90s. Lot of authors and genres to choose from. Quite a collection for children too. Delivery and pickup also is available. Payment can be made through cash or Google Pay.

I have lots of memories of this place. I started to go there in 1979 as a 10 year old. I had just moved to Madras from Srinagar. I still remember the smell of books, binding, glue and the incense which came from a tiny paan shop just outside this library. There were all sorts of comics and novels. My favourites were Tintin and Asterix. I also read Stephen King, Erick Von Dannikken, James Hardley Chase, Three Investigators, Enid Blyton and so many other 60s, 70s and 80s top popular novels. My neighbor Aparna N, Kumar and others would sometimes be there in the library and we exchanged comics among ourselves later. I miss those days so much. That era of Madras is gone for ever, vanished. All we have left is an outline, a shadow. I did buy all my childhood comics and downloaded entire series when I moved to the US but that cannot match what I felt when I was a small boy in the library - happy, care free in a small room full of comics and novels. I would go to Borders and Barnes and Nobles and other book stores and spend 5 hours almost every week for 18 years reading and buying so many magazines and novels and it still felt no match for the time, long gone, in this tiny library of my childhood but lives so fresh and clear in my mind.
