The hostel food is worse. Most of the hostellers order food from outside.No proper staff or warden.If we have any complaints owner wont solve it. She doesnt care.House keeping facility is too poor.No washing machine, few common bathrooms with Indian toilet.Expensive for the facility they provide.I dont recommend this hostel especially for non tamilians.Positives:-Near to sterling signal, wifi available in ground floor, no curfew, 1 or 2 rooms have AC.

Past 6 years.... I have the memories in this place..... And the management is so good..Friendly owner..

I hadnt seen such a bad and terrifying hostel like shanthees hostel.they dont give a damn about the students staying there.very very poor hygiene .rooms arent cleaned regularly , room are filled with cob webs ,very dusty. .Bathroom and toilet also arent cleaned on regular basis .full of politics warden and owner ,not good for permanent stay and also temporary stay ,they will get the fees in the beginning itself but when we ask them about some needs and issues they dont even care about it. Very expensive fees we are paying but no facilities are there inside.

If the stay is for less than a week we can go for it. We can even adjust for a month or two if we try but it is not a comfortable place to stay for a long time. I am not aware of prices per month but the rent for sharing a room is 300 per night. Though the food is not that good, its still a decent place at this price.People are friendly and are so welcoming.

Hate the owner, helper and Warden. Owner has so much attitude. Owner wants only money and dont care about us. It was such a bad hostel. The food is not at all hygienic.

Dont go to shantees ladies hostel I have stayed there 4 months as my coaching institute was near to that area.The management is not at all good , supervisor and owner of the hostel are unfair people and money minded.food is very bad quality .wifi connection is very poor.water is not good.

This is the worst place to stay.1. The management is purely money minded. They dont give a damn about the people staying here or their concerns.2. They dont even allow working women to use iron boxes. We are expected to leave to college/office in unironed clothes.3. The food is even worse. There are rats running around the kitchen. The quality/quantity of the food is very bad because the management is not ready to spend appropriately on the materials. What they use to cook for 10 people, they are using the same here to cook for 50 people.4. We are not allowed to use heaters/kettles even for emergency purposes. If they find any electric appliances in the room they confiscate it without even informing the inmates.5. The warden here is concerned only about collecting fees. She keeps yelling at people and never cares to listen to anybody.6. Finally they ask people to write fake reviews here.

I hadnt seen such a worst terrifying hostel in my lifetime.Its not secure, dont have basic facilities,even they harass mentally.They dont clean the hostel premises, unhygienic rooms, and unhealthy food.They even dont bother that we enter the hostel or not.There is no efficient management to record the daily attendance of members.They will charge high rate of fees and wont return caution deposit immediately at the time of vacating.Its not fair.Hope authorities will take necessary action against this hostel.

Management was not at all co operative.. Amenities were poor..not worth for the fees paying😥..
