Stayed here for 3 years. Had the best time of my life.

One of the best hostel 🏨 of iitm which is very near to taramani gate.One can easily go out if required and enjoy having food in mummy daddy mess which is just outside the gate.When you keep you door open along with window then you can feel the love in the air.We have playground.Volleyball ground is just infront of my room.We have a tech room which is fully AC and full of tools which one can use anytime.

At first instance the hostel was in an extremely dusty and inhabitable condition, it was not cleaned or nobody lived there for a long time, also considering its a hostel, it is bound to remain unclean. The room size is very small but it is for single person occupancy. It has got one cupboard and a chair additionally.Bathrooms as one might expect are not so tidy. There is a open area in the centre of the hostel where they play or walk. Its a huge hostel with a lot of rooms.For someone getting for the first time, it might be hard but people gradually get used to it.

Best hostel in terms of feel and sports facilities are good

Good ventilated hostel but ground floor are lill risky during night time ... because of scorpions and leech...also sometimes because of water issue in dispenser in some floors....lill bad management...

This was my home for 5 years. You get to see the great views of the Ascendas IT park from the terrace. The early morning views of the sky is breathtaking. Hostel is closest to Taramani gate for an easy get away to nearby shops outside the gate.

It is a well maintained hostel.Students stay there for years...till completion of their degree.It has playing grounds,goal posts and badminton court arrangements.

Spacious and airy rooms in the left wing. Nice view outside the campus. Closest hostel to the Taramani gate which makes life easier.

My hostel, I was stayed during 2004 to 2006. Great memory and really missing those days.

Infrastructure is good but the way boys lives in hostel is bizarre

It’s one of the oldest hostels of Iitm . It’s structure is similar to bramhputra , tapti , Saraswati, narmada etc old ones . You may feel friendships with monkeys , cats and the irritating sound of crows even at 3 o’clock night . It’s near by taramani gate . It’s generally allotted to Btech and dual degree students . Inside the hostel , football ground (mini) , volleyball court , badminton court is available. It’s table tennis room is always occupied 😄😄. It has TV room and tech room also though they are in pathetic condition due to irresponsible secretaries. The current tech secretary is good I hope he will bring change .

One of the best hostels of IIT Madras. It is nearer one of the gates of IIT (taramani gate). Two biryani hibs are there. Mummy daddy mess and supriya.Ascendas IT park is also nearer whose food court have variety of shops.Nearer to pilliyar koil Street bus stop. One can easily get a bus to CMBT fom here and also thiruvanmiyur local railway station is nearby .For Chennai central direct bus 5C can be found on St outside taramani gate.But a lil bit far from academic zone of IIT Madras.

Located at a corner of iitm. Takes a lot of time to go anywhere else at iitm

The hostel has no CCTV surveillance. Flower Garden & Field are not in good condition. There are only two or three washing machine which are not in good condition. #IITMadras #IITMcampus
