Worst hospital ever ...dont go there for normal delivery..they r mainly focus on operationThey r taking training with patients.so many training students there to train with us..worst worst ever..they r treating patients like animals.no proper nurses..they r time passing with us..labour ward is just a time passing ward...need to take action on doctors n nurses particularly in emergency labour ward mainly 4 th unit...they r evils to kill us..plz dont suggest anybody to this Egmore government hospital to ladies...need to take action.No care atall.

I had a delivery in this hospital.. really kind and worth full staff .. they gave a exdordinary and quality care..such a good type of hospital. I never seen before.. it is like private hospital..

Usually there is speech that Private serves better than Governments especially in compare to hospital. But this Hospital is really awesome treatment is also good. Even heard more feedbacks by Patients & Attendees saying more serious they have handled successfully.People should speak about this when Government Hospitals works really Good.P.s : I have seen more rich peoples & politicians visiting this hospital for its best treatment.More peoples are coming towards from other cities / states too.Only problem is with #shortage of #restrooms at #waitingPlace for #attendees.

Chennai Egmore Government Maternity Hospital had 64 deliveries in a single day yesterday without any problems. This is the first time in the world that so many babies have been born in a single day in a single hospital.

Pros: good hospital. They mostly do only normal delivery...Cons: Very Strict/Rude Staffs.. Little Unhygenic..lacks rest rooms outside blocks.. If you are planning for this hospital.. Better inquire before.. you may get special wards on package !!

My wife delivered a boy baby in this hospital. Doctors were kind and talented. A huge thanks to those. 5 star for treatment and for others I have to give 1 to 2 stars.Pros:1. Doctors will try for normal delivery 99 percent.2. Doctors are talented and caring.3. One of the best government hospitals for pregnant ladies.4. They have tighten up the security (both child and mom has to wear an alarm enabled ID. As soon as the child is moving away from hospital main building, it alarms loudly preventing the child kidnap)5. They have special wards based on packageCons:1. Hospital is full of Mosquitoes. Even at delievery ward, post delivery wards. Management should do something for this.2. No water in toilet sometimes.3. Restricted timing for visitors ( 7 to 8 in the morning, 1 to 2 in the afternoon, 4 to 6 in the evening, at night (after 7 pm)they will allow gents inside just to give food)4. Gents are not allowed inside labour ward. Gents should not stay at night with patients. One lady attender(mom or mom-in-law mostly) can stay with patient 24 hours. But during peak hours/ during doctors visit, they will ask the lady attender to go out for sometime(1 to 2 hours daily)5. Securities and staffs are not caring. Some will shout at you. Some security staffs ask you bribe (money or food)6. Getting discharge from the hospital is not easy.7. Accommodation building is 500 meter away from the delivery ward building. So expectant fathers / relative usually sleep outside of the main building. They have to apply odamos. I had sleepless nights there before delivery.Accommodation for visitors:Hospital provide free accommodation for visitors, relatives. You just need to provide Aadhaar card xerox. There are two buildings (for gents, ladies), which are located inside the hospital. There they will provide free mat, pillow, mosquito net for each. But most of the people do not aware of this facility and they will sleep outside of the main building.

I had admitted my wife for our first child birth. We blessed with boy baby on Nov-19-17.After the birth, My Baby had been in NICU (Neonatal care) ward for 3 weeks, when he was suffering with fits and suffocation problem. Doctors really treated well and provided the correct and sufficient treatment on time.All the treatments that has prescribed by doctor was regularly monitored by the chief doctors.I really appreciate the service and very thankful to all doctors and staffs who taking care of born babies every single day. hats-off they are saving lots of born babies every day from various critical problems..let me frank with you, I own enough money + 5 lacks medical insurance for wifes delivery with private hospital. But I was advised to go Egmore, government hospital.Earlier I didnt trust much but later I realized, The Governments hospital is not only for poor peoples service but also best in their treatment. Thanks to god and my well wishers who corrected me on right track.I agree !. still Improvements needed for some basic facilities for visitors like toilet, water, canteen etc. and securities always annoying at people every time, this is not a good manner.Trust me, Treatment wise 100% safe comparing with other big private hospitals in Chennai. Do not hesitate to admit for pregnancy delivery.All the best for your pregnancy delivery!.. :)
