Apollo Hospital Chennai is good for different kind of treatment. I went there for my mother treatment found two good doctors Prof. Dr. R Narasimahn, Dept. of Respiratory Medicine and Dr. B Subba Rao, dept. of Nephrology, they treated us so well that my mother felt good. But we faced a problem with orthopedics doctor(Dr A Navaladi Shankar), who treated my mother too badly that my mother leg infected and had to do operation when back to Dhaka. We tried communicated withDr A Navaladi Shankar several times but he didnt response, so be careful about this doctor. Except this orthopedics doctor everything is good for me in this hospital. You also find a canteen for having snacks. They have 2 type of wheelchair , for those couldnt walk or too sick and those legs are broken or fractured who have to Straight their leg. Transport (auto rickshaw) available in the gate of the hospital.

People who are thinking that Apollo hospital has the best of facility in terms of attending the patients and attenders - A definite No —- A Very Big No - No place to sit , Standing on every single counters for minimum 1-2 hrs . have been roaming around with my in-law for the past 3 days and the standing time per day has been 8-10 hrs every single day - It could be neither they have More patients than the hospital could accommodate , nor the process flow in billing and reports , pharmacy itself is poor… Request to have a better system in place … Govt Hospital have way far better coordination , we ended up paying 3 times bigger than the real cost .. Poor us..

My experience here was pathetic.1) There was no place to park so I had to stop my vehicle for few secs to drop my parents near the main entrance .A security came shouting and raised his index finger to threaten me . I confronted him for his gesture.2) Doctors here never show up on time. We had to wait 2 hours for consulting the doctor. The doctor was informed about our appointment by the hospital staffs only after we arrived .3) A guy approached the help desk saying that he is covid positive. The staffs were least bothered and made him wait along with the other patients.

As on 30.09.2021-Its congested and chaotic, especially the main block registration and counter 6&6A in peak hrs. We had a hectic schedule test at 2 in the morning but had to wait untill 7 in the morning. The guys at MRI counter were unapologetic for shortcomings at their end. The initial tests procedure was rather dismaying as you have to queue up for hrs and even days. There is no effective Covid protocol maintained. The whole building is over crowded during day timings.The waiting areas are inadequate and crowded. You have to stand for hrs. The Consultants may be good but the management lags professionalism as they apparently cant handle surging flow of patients effectively. The lackadaisical attitude of some staffs is hampering the whole system. The majority of patients are from Eastern India and there is no major language barrier in the hospital and in the locality.

2nd floor OT Day care is excellent..and sisters are also good but one big problem is they can not understand hindi. They speak in tamil.It literally expensive. Doctor are experienced and expert.

Apparently this is how covid test is taken in chennais apollo hospital greams road. Only 1 cashier to manage all people. Cashier doesnt have provision for card payment. They are not able to manage crowd well. This place is a prone area for Corona spread. I suggest people not to take at apollo greams hospital for covid test.

I was diagnosed with dengue and was admitted to Apollo hospitals greames road for a week. The treatment I received was impeccable especially from the nursing staff. They treated me with care and love and even made me get well soon cards. I was well taken care off and I attribute my healing towards the efforts and care of the Apollo staff.Sneha who was also the in charge of guest relations was an absolute delight to be around. We went for an adenosine heart scan which is apparently done only in Apollo greams road, Chennai. I rather not have the scan done ever. The management is so so slow and incompetent. They told us 2 hours and we were at the hospital for 8 hours, in an overcrowded hospital that follows no covid protocols. I regularly go to SIMS hospital, Vadapalani and Kumaran hospital, Kilpauk and their management is far far better than Apollo.

Everything and Overall it was good but cost could be nominal.. While bringing for emergency and asking for deposit of 50000 is bit more and this can be charged may be installments during the treatment rather than charging huge amount at once and other charges are also quite high.. As Apollo is huge chain and good reputation I think If the Costs are nominal it will be easier for everyone who needs medical assistance... On the Positive Side Doctors are very good and has very sound knowledge, hospitality is good, good food, good treatment, proper attention given to patients. Today Taken First dose of covid vaccination at Apollo Mains Greams Road... Seating arrangements were very properly done in the waiting area social distance. Payment is very simple and eazy due to more counters. Vaccination area also neat and clean . The staffs were friendly welcoming happy face and clear all of our doubts.They guided us very well in each step.Very systematic . 30 min waiting in the observation area having pantries for Coffee and snacks...I highly recommend Apollo hospital.for Covid Vaccination.

My brother was admitted in this hospital 3 months before for some intestinal issue. Dr Prasanna Kumar reddy @ PK reddy sir treated him. Seriously he is a legend in department of gastroenterology. Few doctors in my native has suggested for a resurgery however doctor treated him with medicine s and used his experience of 40 + yrs and my recovered fully with out any surgery. Thanks alot to doctor pk reddy and jr doctor himansu and nursing staff for the care given. Kudos.

Went to take my master check up. During the check up, one of the gynecs on just examining physically told me you are infertile and having baby should be an issue for me. Later we took hormone test and found everything to be in normal range and from there again consulted one endocrinologist and now I am 5 months pregnant !! Gave me such a negative vibe and from then was worrying about myself and doubting my capability till I am pregnantEven if there are possibilities, why should she say all to your face without any test and confirmation??I am giving 1 star to the nurses who were really good and the doctors were only threatening.I could think the reason may be of snatching 1000 Rs for the hormone test.No more Apollo

Now a days in chennai apollo hospital, there is too much waiting time. U have to wait for hours after hours, if u asked for doctors appointment, u will be given appointment time, but u have to wait more than 2 to 3 hours of appointment time given to u. Also in case of laboratory reports, u will not receive the reports on the same day except some tests,which seems to be hospital and the local lodge/Hotels may hv some understanding. Specially people from Assam should not visit the hospital in future...

Got appointment for MRI (at 8am) and waiting for the same in MRI waiting room since 3.45 hours. No one called till 11:45 am. I went and spoke at reception, still no answer I got from them. Finally they have called at 12 pm after contacting them multiple times. We came from Kolkata for treatment, heard a lot about Apollo Chennai for the treatment and the facility they provide. But since 3 days what I have faced is horrible. Every where people has taken appointments with the help of Apollo brokers who are not following any queue. Apollo brokers changing the actual patient queue and sending their patients first. Doctors secretary is also involved with them. Never thought such facilities I will receive from Apollo Chennai.

I came for whole body checkup along with my parents on Saturday 28.08.2021. During booking they informed a certain amount and collected an amount which is higher than they told before for the same plan. The staff give attention to those who has reference and apollo unit staff only. It is also noted that we booked prior and arrived hospital before 6.30 a.m. But those who came after 8.30 a.m. are allowed to complete all the tests before us. At the same time the response given to us is also not just satisfied. If you wish to get whole body check up, go for other hospitals. Only outer look and name fame only attracted us to reach the hospital for accessing facilities. They show them selves genuine and process follower. Only phone call they answer very well but in person they dont. I didnt expected all happened at apollo hospital. Never wish to visit again to the hospital. Bye to Apollo.

Very pleased with Greams road Apollo hospital services. Compassionate care for elderly. Dr. K.N. Srinivasan was God send for my dads heart treatment. His calm reassuring presence was a huge relief for my family. Inpatient care services was excellent. Guest relations co-ordinator, Sudarsan was very responsive and made sure our needs were met. Hospital facilities, cleanliness in general was not satisfactory though. Inpatient room, bed, furniture, equipments like refrigerator and microwave oven needs renovation or at the minimum some deep cleaning. Overall services, doctors and staff are great, but facilities and system needs sprucing up.

I was here for vaccination, the entry process for the venue should be methodical but as they seem very over worked or tired, you need to be prompting them to get clarity on whats happening, when I entered the chamber to get the poke the nurse already had the injection in the hand and had me seated to inject, I dont recall her disposing, there werent any authority to monitor, at the moment I was focused on the jab, but on my way home I was thinking about the process that was taken, wherever we go we are used to seeing the nurse or lab technician open new syringe and throw the syringe after use. Request the hospital authority to take a look at this

Doctors are good. But services are worst and have been charged exorbitantly high for private room. Apollo Chennai is no way comparable to Apollo Ahmedabad

It is one of the best private hospitals in the country. I treated my wife for orthopaedic surgery. The surgeon, Dr. Balaji Srinivasan is a good doctor and approachable person. But, his secretary is not as good as him. The indoor staffs are very good.

I recently had an endoscopy done at Apollo main. The nurses and the doctors were very nice and helpful. I had a great experience given that I was a bit nervous about the anaesthesia initially.Really great service !

My experience in this hospital has been really great. I had multiple fractures on my right arm. From the day I was admitted, the treatment I received has been exceptional. From the nursing staff who received me when I entered to the doctor (Dr Balaji Sreenivasan) who came in on short notice when he wasn’t even on duty on Sunday afternoon, all of them went over and above to make sure I was well taken care off.I would like put in a special mention for Dr Balaji and his team for the effort and care they put in throughout my time at the hospital.What stood out to me was that this same attitude was evident event amongst the nursing team and the Physio department who handled my recovery after the Operation.Based on my experience I would recommend this hospital to anyone seeking treatment here.

Starting from meeting doctors, diagnosis, surgery, post surgery treatment and care are absolutely excellent, nurses are just a call away, doctors explain you everything they are not in hurry they will listen to you carefully and then assess, nurses ( i will mentioned on the 2nd floor since my child was admitted there) all are angels, never irritated (at-least in front of patient of attendants), even the lift operator is courteous, i pray that no one ever visit hospital but god forbid if have to come for your child, this is the right place ! The patient services are really very bad my mother is a stroke patient she cant able to sit for a while iam coming from a long distance Ive explained everything with the management but they are interested only in plundering my money please dont go to this hospital there are many best hospitals in Chennai.

One Star less as there is very little parking.One has to wait regularly for 2 hrs or more during the evening Dialysis session for a slot inspite of a scheduled appointment.Nursing staff, Technicians and Doctors are well qualified, experienced and very responsive.

I visited Apollo Greams Road today i.e. 17th September 2021 for check up of my mother Ms. Archana Chakraborty with Dr. Venugopal Reddy. We are very much pleased with the doctors suggestions and treatment. But when we finished the check up and ready for departure, the lady from Counter 10 asked me to handover my mobile to her. I was surprised and asked her why she needed my mobile. She said she needed for 1 min. I, unaware of the reason and being in this situation for the first time in any hospital all over India, gave my mobile to her. I was shocked to see that she browse through appllos google review and by herself gave 5 start to it from my mobile. She didnt asked me for once whats my opnion or review.I want to ask the Apollo Management,  is this THE way you have reached 5 start reviews?? What kind of unprofessional attitude is taught to your employees??? I strongly oppose this and utterly disappointed. I will urge the Management to take strong and immediate action to stop this kind of unethical practices and ask your administration to revisit companys mission and vision.Thank youDebapriya Chakraborty
