One of the oldest popular marriage halls in Madras! One can enjoy the interiors maintained and remained intact over 40 years.

This is a very big hall right in heart of the city. I have attended a couple of Religious functions here. It can accommodate 1500 people. Though the interiors are not so great a make over can definitely make it better. One key thing to be considered is the cleanliness. It is not so great and with huge people gathering it could have been better. Apart from that it is really fine. Also, good value for money.

Very old place but stands majestic. Very big arena and the buildings are too old. It really requires a makeover. Apt for very big religious gathering. It is in a prime location of Purasaivakkam.

A kalyanamantap with all facilities for 400 plus gathering.It has 15 rooms and in the heart of the city. Public transport systemsMetro,suburban and buses are available in the neighbour hood. Ample parking slot and the dining wash area and rooms are in same level which is an added feature

The marriage hall is a very traditional place to conduct marriages and other traditional functions.Some old classical and contemporary art forms are decking the walls of the small hall or dining area. Life size images of Lord Venkateshwara and Padmavathy welcome us. Fair size area to conduct the event or function.However, the modern world has not affected the way of life there. Same old Indian style lavatories. Not clean hand wash areas. Spreading bleaching powder is not a solution for sure. Cement slabs covering many areas.Poor parking area. The main driveway is full of ups and downs.Things can improve a lot.

Its a nice place to have a gathering but not for the very upmarket. Not expensive as well. Comes with a well decorated Hall of the olden times. Helpful places here and there to have the traditional procedures conducted. They have some decent rooms, I think about 12, that could be used by the bride and the bridegroom side or their friends and relatives. Im not sure of the quality of the utilities though they appeared decent. Dining hall appeared big enough to cater to about 250 people. Car parking was adequate for about 50 to 60 vehicles. This place used to be a name to be reckoned or associated with in olden times. Some renovation can bring back its original and necessary glory.

Its placed in the heart of the city. Very spacious for small functions and marriages. Since two types of marriage hall choose any one according to the budget. Compared to other marriage Halls its economical. Kitchen and dining Halls are spacious, but car parking is limited. Nearby many hotels are available for lodging. Marriage Halls are non air-conditioned, but some rooms are air conditioned.

Big and very spacious hall. However, there is no air conditioning. The management staff are quite courteous. There are plenty of rooms available as well for the families to stay during functions. Couple of these rooms are air conditioned.Apart from one huge complex with a main hall + kitchen + dining hall (all three are separate places), they also have a mini hall + dining area. All these can be booked separately as needed by the organizer.

A very old wedding Hall in the heart of the city easily accessible. Well connected by buses,etro train and electric local trains. Many religious functions take place here regularly.

One of the old marriage halls in purasaiwakkam..wearing an old look but well maintained..After a longtime, i visited..Happy to be there for over 2 hours..

With 2 halls, there is parking only for 12-14 cars. Everything else is fine about this hall. Close by to Poonamallee High Road, Central, Egmore, theres good connectivity. Hall seating capacity could be 750-800. Dining hall is good (can accommodate 200-250). There is sufficient space between marriage hall and dining hall for other marriage events as per traditions.

Very old building and not at all well maintained. With the area they have, they would have been a sought after venue only if they had maintained the place well.

Located in a posh area near Egmore railway station so renting cabs at anytime is easy. A decent hall for conducting family functions... Restrooms and bathrooms here are near and clean. AC room is available.

One of the oldest Kalyanamandpam in Chennai City. Requires renovation very babdly.

Iconic hall for average families. The interiors are a bit dated and so are the facilities too. However if you class it as a landmark site and do up the interiors a little bit. It is probably the Sri vaari and MRC for people with average financial capabilities. My reception was here and I have no complaints about the facility. However it all depends on what you are ready to pay. If your main motive is value for money. I would completely recommend it.

This mandapam is more than 50 years old.Mostly rented out for marriage occasion.There is a main hall and an annex building.You also have a stage in the main hall. People also arrange for lectures here.Parking facility is there. Sometimes people have to park outside due to heavy rush.During rainy season the entrance has pool of water

It is the old mandapam and its worst in keep their sorounding clean.if the rain gets heavy u cant able to enter the function with neat look.u may face the water level too ur knee so go some where places to make ur weddings memorable

Strategically located. Easy to access. Very big and one of the oldest surviving marriage hall. Sufficient car parking facility. Around 200 workers are working in this complex. Requires modernisation in infrastructure and maintenance. Dasaprakash and Dharmaprakash were once major landmarks of Egmore. One has given way for construction of apartments. How long Dharmaprakash will survive is to be seen.

Mostly marvadis weddings are conducted here. I personally feel this hall is good.

It is quite a big wedding hall but poorly maintained. The area for meals was also dirty and nor well maintained. Toilets seem to a highly ignored aspect of sny public building, and this was no different. Stinky and dirty loos. Parking is not available. Plan to come here bu public transport or ola / uber

If you want see old style mandabam then go here. Windage style windows. still name board Madras ☺️.Wi the style clock and paintings. But less parking facilities.

A very big place having 3 mandaps inside a single compound and one of the oldest in chennai , such a big place with accommodation for 1500 persons to be found in city limits, near to central and egmore station and good connectivity to CMBT bus stand. locating the place is easy but the parking is a problem , not sure if AC is there. Dining also big.
