Dirty and was fully sweating. Chairs looked old and unmaintained.
Compact and acoustically well treated small crowd auditorium.👍🏾 Location is a great plus
View angle is good fr every seating
Very good place. Only con, no car parking
Good auditorium for small group of people. Nicely maintained and perfectly air conditioned. Entry exit points are visible and easy to access. Restrooms are maintained clean. Only issue is car parking. Its on the busiest market place and situated in main temple Street.
Beautiful auditorium with excellent acoustic
Know it from childhood good place for cultural events
Cinimatic experience.ac room very chilling and clean place.like very much
Good place for cultural program
Good concert hall.. Nice seating.. Some cleaning required in seating area though. Parking big issue
A compact hall good acoustics, well lit and air-conditioned. Thats about it. Inside the auditorium the aisle steps towards the rear end of the balcony are pretty steep and leg room In the seating space is poor nay pathetic. An extra short step is a must here. Well anyways the hall here was product of a construction era when quality was compromised more often than not. Also feel that the hall needs a rejig as the space looks quite run down! A vital issue here is the lack of adequate parking space or perhaps nil car parking space. Wonder why a basement and stilt parking wasnt considered especially given the density of population and the location.
The school, of course, is a good one. I had been to the auditorium of this place to attend a meeting. Good infrastructure.
Nice breakfast, ghee roast is good
Love this auditorium every time I visit. Stunning stage and its lighting with a perfect positioning of the audience seating. Love to visit December programs again and again
Awsome auditorium.. to watch anything happens here.. good at facilities... Opposite to varutha milagai eatery outlet... Before kabalishwarar temple mylapore
Good performance. Good acoustics. Access is a challenge. And people strolling in and out of concerts, insensitive to the artists.
My son goes here for his Music lessons. Good music Gurus. The hall is good and always buzzing. There is a book store too that has good books on indian culture. Yoga class is good too.
Very nice and neat auditorium. Many classes are going on here. Yoga, music, dancing etc. I can say about tabla class. Sir is very good. Though the place where he conducts is not as neat and organised as other places, but teaching is excellent.
Really awesome Dance Studio. Good Lighting and Sounds Maintenance Very well.
Good programs throughout the year for music and dance. Sound system awesome. Toilets neat and clean. Only problem is parking. Only on roadside we have to park.
Enjoyed the ambiance. Wish the crew could consider the people as loving and creating beings. Had to run around to get someone switch on the AC , even after the start time of program.
I attended a dance drama here. Neatly maintained. Air conditioned hall. But they have to improve the acoustics. Poorly maintained canteen.
A good place for programs. Traffic needs to be regulated. Traffic becomes a mess if there is a popular program. Recommend using Ola or Uber rather than your own car.
Best place fr any event say music, Bharth Natayam, lectures. ..people can relax. .
Neat n clean as always
5 stars for its great service to the society and the location of the hall though parking and dense pedestrian movements are an issue.
Good auditorium in central Mylapore chennai city. Small but useful airconditioned hall. Good acoustics. Good ambience
Cultural centre in mylapore. Many events and classes for those interested in traditional aspects
Good mid sized auditorium. Several free concerts and performances are conducted regularly here. Only issue that people who come early will be made to sit starting from Row 5, while people who come late will be given front row seats.
Great place for performing art. Located in the centre of the city. Multiple halls. Only problem is limited parking. Mini halls audio system is below acceptable standards. Both dance and music programmes can be organised here
Good place to give some performance in th art to display to others
Compact hall, seating could be better.. view from centre rows is good, seats from the sides is an issue
Very nice compact auditorium with balcony ! Nice co-ordinators too!
One of the best place in chennai to enjoy best classical music by top performers free of cost. Happened to hear top performers like sid scream, sudha rabghunathan, trichy brothers, gayatri and ranjana sisters free of cost. The auditorium overflowed and listeners were very knowledgeable and maintained good silence. Only draw back is by around 8:30 pm most of the older listeners start leaving resulting in disturbance to others. This has some how to be taken care of.It would have been better if top performers programme begins by 6 pm and completed by 8 pm.Hatsoff to Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan for organising such excellent music festivals free of cost.
Very good kutcheris but why finishing music season before margazhi
Place is spacious and clean. With inadequate parking. But cars can be parked outside. Good programs take place there and it is an asset to society.
An organised elite Hindu Philosophy forum. A place next Sri Kabaleeswarar temple Mylapore.
Very nice auditorium. The arrangement and seating is very good. Sound system and speakers are surprisingly very good
In my opinion.Hall is decent with good A/c.Only 3-4 cars can be parked.Tightly congested area.
Drama. Music and dance. A compact auditorium for all. Located near Mylapore tank opposite to Karpagambal Mess. Have your evening enjoyable watching any of the live entertainment.
Except for parking the best auditorium for cultural events like Music Dance! Next to Kapaleeswarar Temple! Good sound system, seating arrangement in the ground level. Seating arrangement in Balcony level is little tricky for aged due to high stairs levels to climb
Well maintained 👌More care given for Arts 👍Need to appreciate the management team 👏👏👏🤝👍
One of the finest halls, contributing its best to common persons. But only draw back is lack of parking space. All vehicles have to be parked in the public road & streets
Nice bhavan
Nice ac hall. Suitable for small programs. Near to Mylapore temple car. Can accommodate 350 people. Not much parking.
Small but good Auditorium for small functions with around 300-500 seating capacity.Usually used for Salangai pooja functions. Overall Good and nothing to complain about.
I loved this place very much. The seats are so comfortable for sitting. It is air conditioned hall. The lighting are so wonderful.
One of the best place to enjoy music and arts in Chennai near Kapaleeshwarar temple
Good place for conducting Salangai poojai and orher functions. No proper car parking, so pl park ur car in luz main road itself and come by auto. Very congested road
There are auditoriums of different sizes to facilitate a variety of functions and activities. The acoustics are excellent which makes for a good listening experience.
Good place and comfortable seats but parking is big hassle
Amazing lighting and sound by krishnan sons
Good auditorium.. but car and two wheeler parking is a perennial problem. Its better to utilise public transport or cab to reach this auditorium
Good hall. Needs parking though
A pleasant atmosphere. Great service
Good place for cultural programes. Car parking is unavailable. This hall is in the same road of kabalishwara temple. The hall can accommodate 200-350 people
Excellent entertainment programs take place attended by people from all walks of life. Main drawback is that no ample car park . It is better go by cabs
Not their fault! I had two bad experiences, both due to the organisers. 1) It was announced that there is a musical performance, but when my wife and I reached there, we were turned back saying Its a private affair; how arrogant can people get!? 2) The Times of India organised a Sudoku competition today, but disappointed the more than 200 people assembled saying There was a small communication gap within the Times fraternity; it was Bhavans Rajaji Vidyashram in Kilpauk (not Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Mylapore); sorry, please come again next week! And this was something widely advertised in the newspapers, social media, their own website, and so on. Again, how arrogant can people get!? First they offered to ferry everyone to the other venue and adjust the timings accordingly, but the people gathered were very vociferous saying This is a mind game; now our minds have been agitated, so postpone the event. I suppose there werent any contenders from far-off places!
This is one of the landmark places in mylapore. There practically some cultural activity or the other happening there every evening. The auditorium has now been renovated which further makes it classy and more comfortable. Limited parking is available outside the auditorium
Calm Hall in a busy area.No parking inside the premises
Awesome place to hear some classical songs. When it comes to December, its more important as loads and loads of Kutchery happens in almost all the sabas. Time for music as always :)
Hii gud eve,There are small auditoriums are present main hall, mini hall. The hall ambience is very nice.the seating arrangement and speakers are audible according to the public. It is very suitable for small occasions and also it gives much satisfaction. But here the parking space is less.Currently, the music festival is going on for margazhi season.its a great feel to watch there.Must visit here and enjoy😊.
WE had little difficulty in finding out the halls. My suggestion is please puut on the display board in the entrance the programe and the hall number with an information ground floor or the other floor. The ambience was good
Musical Program held in three different A/c stages
Small but very nice..no parking..only in streets
Near to kabaleshwar temple. Neatly maintained. Good A/C
Variety and Good programs and friendly team helping Rasikas.
Very good place for dance, music etc. Air conditioned too to escape Chennai climate
Best place for cultural programs conducted in Main hall and two mini halls. Again car parking is always a problem. Cool place.
Excellent. The A/C, Audio system particularly was very good. Lighting to the stage particularly on the DANCE programe was excellent. We were able to enjoy / appreciate the upcoming / Future Hemamalini or Vijayanthimala Dance Performance.Sincere thanks to one and all including the Auditorium.
An auditorium perfectly describes, Bhavans service to the Music and Arts is most known things and their contribution towards musical programs are appreciable....
Ac was good seats were gud program was best
Fantastic ambience and a great place to listen and watch the fine arts.
Centrally located A.C.auditorium near Kapaliswarar temple.Music, dance & literary programs R held throughout the year particularly every weekend (Fri,sat & Sunday). One of the best auditoriums except for the limited vehicle parking space outside the auditorium.
Auditorium is excellent, acoustics good, will try to attend a music concert too.
Great facility. Nice auditorium with beautiful stage and seats. Car parking is a huge problem.
Excellent Sound clarity, and seating arrangements. will be more convenient with better parking facility
Very good auditorium in mylapore with all sorts of facilities. Can be expensive for some class of people. Parking is a big problem in the area as the auditorium does not have its own parking. For event organizers there are some parking premises available in the vicinity on rent.
Bakthaswara BHAJAN mandil was contacting a interschool BHAJAN competition in associated with This Bharat Vidya bhavan
Compact and well maintained auditorium.... very very near to Kableswarar temple but no parking space
To meet Shri Sudarshan Kannan and to be part of this morning event was the most inspiring moment of my India visit, and it changed my life. Im very gratful and happy.Exercise Shri Hari Dhyana
Nice place for karnatic classical stage performance
A huge hall in east mada street where musical , dance, religious orations conducted by the BVB.
Located in the heart of Mylapore right near the Kapali Temple and easily accessible by public transport. Generously sized seats and enough space between rows to move through without too much discomfort. However, the sound system requires work. The volume (from the listeners perspective - assuming no loss in hearing faculties) is frequently higher than necessary - I wore ear plugs for a Carnatic vocal concert recently. The artistes too had to request frequent adjustment for quite a while for ambient feedback.I suspect that the air conditioning varies in efficiency within the auditorium. Some on stage can be cold while audience members, just a few feet below, can be sweating.
Good place to conduct school functions like annual day program and to conduct Music & Dance program.
