We come across about this place through many friends and relatives who had conducted their events and had very good opinion about this hall. When we checked over the phone, they took details about us in a professional manner and they promptly responded to me with pictures and videos, amenities offered, etc. and I was very much impressed with their response. A true professional approach. We visited the hall and found that whatever they mentioned are in fact the same. The hall is very much impressive and they take care of covid19 compliances with utmost care, the place is very much clean. We did not have second opinion about booking the hall and straightaway confirmed the booking. They have procedure like signing the contract and payment of any amount initially so that our booking will get confirmed.During our event, whatever was mentioned to us as complimentary have been given to us. Then rooms were pretty much cleaned and support staff welcomed us and special thanks to them for providing us round the clock services.We had a very good experience conducting our wedding there and when you compare the cost and quality of services, I would say the rates are very much nominal. We would definitely recommend this hall to all our friends and relatives. In order not to get disappointed over non availability of dates, I would suggest to get the dates first confirmed by visiting them personally. They do not entertain confirmation over phone. Avigna Hall only serve vegetarian food. A class experience of conducting any events there.

Decent Hall to conduct the parties and functions with 200 to 300 ppls (Inc floating capacity) with parking.Special things : This hall located at Main road and outside catering and decorators are allowed and looks too good.

The hall can easily accommodate a floating people count of 200-250, very elegant hall with all amenities. We were expecting around 150- 200 for a wedding and had booked the hall and rooms.The owner puts everything on paper and goes by the rule book, very genuine guy to work with and it was pleasure to know him, very accommodating to our needs. His level of commitment does not end after the event, a through professional who delivered and also addressed few issues for us after the event.The venue is calm and clean, even though its on the busy RK Salai, close proximity to few other big hotels ( ie, if you have quests coming from outside of Chennai). You have a market just behind (Lane) the venue incase you need to go for a last minute purchase of flowers, fruits or Pooja Samagri, Pots etc.They have 5 room which are nicely done and spacious, if you are expecting too many cars ask for valet parking. The available staff would help if you ask. My Suggestion, prepare a list of things you would need from Pooja utensils to catering requirements and then check Avigna Staff, if they have what you need, accordingly make arrangements for the missing stuff.Other vendors like decorators and photographers are to be engaged and paid only after they deliver. The vendors are not inhouse but Avigna can refer their available contacts.It worked out well for our needs and we had an awesome event.

Good response to the owner. Hall and dining room too good. Living room also good. Owner was friendly treat to him.services also good. Parking area and lift operation is available . Cleaning and maintenance was excellent.

The person confirmed that hall was available for the date I soughtHe agreed to wait for 10 days till I reached chennai.On the date I met him he informed that the hall has been already booked for the first half of the date for which I booked and advised me to take the hall for one and half days.That too wasting my time by showing the whole premises.This is literal cheating.When he is aware at the first instance itself that the hall was not available for half day on the first day of my request he should have outright declined.I lost precious 10 days in looking for other venues for my functionI will never ever recommend this hall even if given freeResponse to owners replyI wanted the hall from 8pm on 8th Dec to 8 pm on 10th Dec.The enquiry was made on 20th AugI asked him if he can block the hall as I was away at Bangalore and can be back only on 31st AugHe confirmed through Watsapp that he has blocked.uI visited him on 31st exactly as informed to himAfter roaming around the hall he requested whether we can adjust with another NRI client for 2hours on 9th as they have made part advance for 9th even before I communicated on 20th AugWhen he has taken partial advance for 9thDec how can he confirm that he has blocked from 8th Dec 8 pm to 10th Dec 8pmEven on 31st he said he has to again confirm with the “NRI” client and informed his inability only late nightHe has an NRI syndrome . He will keep on repeating that he has NRI clients as if Indian clients are secondary.He had a long discussion over Watsapp with me todayI offered him to broadcast all the screenshot in this review page and leave it to peoples judgement.He put a namaskaram and closed the topic and silently posted his offensive replyPeople beware and don’t suffer in the last minute like due to such negligence

Avigna Hall, situated in a prime location of Chennai, 18kms from airport. Nice availability of all shops and restaurants. Gandhi beach is just 1.5kms from the place.It has 3 floors, 1st floor has rooms, 2nd floor can be for dining and 3rd floor is banquet hall. Great for a gathering and occasions for 50 persons. Rooms are good with AC. Banquet is pretty big. Lift is also there.So its a nice place to organize an occasion.Thank you.

A venue for a small gathering of 150 or so. AC hall on third floor, AC dining on the second and rooms for the guests on first floor. A newly built one and very centrally located and accessible from any place in Chennai.I attended a function a couple of days back and I liked it.

We celebrated our son’s engagement ceremony recently at Avigna. It is conveniently located. Well equipped. And well managed. In 3 levels - hall on 3rd, dining on 2nd and rooms to stay on 1st. Ground floor is parking. The hall can accommodate between 150 - 180 with comfort. The dining is well equipped with kitchen. The rooms are neat. Lift at ground level made sure senior citizens had no difficulty in getting to the hall without climbing steps. Overall we are happy with our choice of the venue. The management and staff are helpful and always at hand and helped us in organising the decorations and other things at the venue. Always at hand and helpful. Security arrangements are good. Clear communication with the management and documentation made it easy for us in all respects. Has good many rooms to stay and accommodate for small functions. Cons are limited in venue parking. Only one lift and is extremely slow. In compensation steps are easy to climb. Happy to recommend for smaller events.

A centrally located cosy place.

Hall is very well maintained clean and neat looks tidy overall.This hall is best suited for having small functions. The hall capacity is minimal which can accommodate 100-150 memebers easily. The dining area is can manage only 45-55 people at a time. Parking facilities are not that great.

We celeberated our sons wedding reception in that hall. The ambience, arrangements, the cooperation of the maintenance staff were all excellent. The owner was always courteous and prompt in his dealings. Overall it was an excellent experience.

If small scale functions is your requirement then this is the best hall in town. Value for money. Good amount of luxury and Kickass location.only downside is lack of too many parking options. Must arrange valet service

Avoid this place. It is not worth it. Last month, I had a 1/2 day function and was taken for a ride by selling all sorts of expensive packages (valet parking, seat cover, flower decorations etc.) which I purchased purely on trust and photos shown by Murali, the owner. Sadly, all packages were below par. The owner (operates only via whatsapp) does not take any responsibility for the shoddy work and only interested in your money. He took the cash and when we raised an issue, he conveniently asked us to talk directly to the flower decorator and deal with it. i The function hall is in 3rd floor and the hall support staff sit in the ground floor and dont show up at all (despite calling their mobile numbers) because they were attending a potential customer. Imagine, going down and up 3 floors for any help during the function. Needless to say, there is not enough parking. The hall is very small especially when you do a function with homam (such as upanayanam) the size reduces drastically as the hood is only on one side and the entire stage experience and view for audience is restricted.I made a big blunder by renting this place and I hope this review serves as a warning to help you find other nearby halls that are worthy enough.

A very good banquet hall at a great location. If you want a hall with around 150 pax in south Madras, this is the one to go. The management is really good & I was very disappointed not being able to use this hall. Do check them out!

This will motivate us to provide better service.After reviewing all the feedback, we understand that parking has been a core issue for most of our guests and we would like to address this. The management has decided to provide complimentary valet parking for events hereafter.On clarification of feedback of Mr. ANAND RAMAN, who had conducted an event two months ago, we would like to mention that the hall was not booked by him but by one of his relatives who never revealed the actual guest details till the last day. Mr. Anand, the actual guest who turned up only on the previous day, wanted to make complete change of whatever his relative had decided, be it decoration, valet parking and add on services like nadhaswaram or barber. As we didnt want to disappoint them, we tried our best to accommodate whatever changes he made, the previous night. But he left without settling the decorators dues which we had to do from our pocket (when we contacted the relative who booked the hall with us, we came to know that Mr.Anand was non responsive to him as well). Kindly also note that we do not insist on using any of our external services like decorators, caterers, etc. and we allow the guests to bring in their own service providers which most of the halls in the city do not allow.Please note that since we cannot respond to him directly on this portal, we are clarifying this here.

Near to City centre Mall with very limited parking space. Ideal for hosting small functions or events with decent rooms available for stay.

Nice place in the centre of Chennai in Dr. Radhakrishnan Salaiand also easy to find.They have 7 rooms in the first floor, a sufficiently big dining hall in the second floor and a similarly sized event hall in the third floor. All floors have AC although when there are more people the AC isnt that great.The 3rd floor has a stage and chair seating in the front, should say its a rectangle shaped hall quite similar to the dimensions in the first and second floors.Hotel Clarion President is also nearby in the same road just 5 minutes walk away. In case one needs more rooms is a nice place to stay. In fact i stayed overnight in Clarion. The person who had an event had booked 2 rooms in it.Overall it was a good experience.

Comfortable for small get-togethers(about 100), with separate dining hall and rooms too. Clean wash and toilet areas and effective AC ( Morning time in March) . The ventilation arrangement seems inadequate when the holy fire (Homam) is at its peak. Limited Parking but lcation is well connected by taxis and auto and some bus routes. I am not aware of tariffs though, as I was an invitee only!
