Hi. My name is Angel. I am living in Chennai. I had attended the interview at this school. I had learnt something from this school. Its a very nice school. The school is very neat and tidy. Even the toilet is so clean. They have water facility to drink. Then I got a good experience at my interview at this school. They gave respect and speak politely. When they asked me to teach , I took the classes. When they asked me some questions, I can able to recall the grammar. When I forgot something. They dont tell me the answer. But they told me a sentence and made me to find out the correct answer. Its very nice idea that I learnt from them. I have learnt that I should prepare well for the interview. Even though I was not selected at that school, I love that school. Every staffs are speaking English fluently and they will make a good students. Best of luck for all the teachers and students to develop your skills. Thank you 😊

I didnt give one Star@ velammal Newgen school. I had ever seen that worst behaviour of AD n principal ..They talk very Messy language n no response to the parents.Take some action to the principal @ management..

Before pandemic I would have rated 3 at least. But even after a year, they are not able to manage the classes virtually.Cons:1. No transparency2. No equality3. No accountability4. No Agility5. No extra curricular activity6. Not easily approachableWill really appreciate if they take this feedback and work on improvement areas.

Worst school ever! The management suffers a lot to manage virtual classes and puts on a huge burden on the students and techers. Theres no fixed system on how the classes and tests are conducted. They keep changing things only to while away the time and are not at all concerned with what they teach the children. One could easily figure out that this school is always obsessed with the money they drain from parents and dont give a damn thing to put on efforts to provide a good education system.Would give this school zero starts if possible.

One year & one year fees wasted for my son because of this school, teacher didnt teach anything. many times complained about this to vice principle but no action taken. alphabets also not taught properly. all the times in function they will call only the students who do well to the stage. they wont call average students to the stage. teacher should make all the students to study well and call to the stage. I have told this to teacher in parents meeting, she told like students selected based on senior teachers selection. please give priority to all the kids and make them to study well.

Last Saturday we were invited for the Skill Exhibition on visual arts by the school.The students including my children had presented their thoughts to conserve water through visuals.Super.The school promotes creativity and communication.

Velammal NewGen school has a big ground.They offer free football coaching to the students in the evenings.The students have been learning just 8 months and the school sent its football team to a Futsal Football Tournament at Ponneri recently in January 2019.My son was part of this.The team won in the first round but lost later.I appreciate the school for giving this exposure apart from the training.Good Academics with Sports coaching is a big plus point in this school.No other school near Medavakkam has this.

Velammal school at Medavakkam gives students lot of exposure.They send students to lot of inter school competitions and also give Sports coaching in the evening in the school grounds free of cost.Recently they sent lot of students to Hindustan & Britto school for inter school competition..Velammal students won many prizes in all events in both the schools.Good school.

Me and my husband went to Velammal NewGen School, Medavakkam for SLC,Student Led Conference on 12th October 2019.We were surprised to hear my son talk about his plus and minus in all subjects that he learns at school.Good to hear that he spoke on his learning targets too.In this PTM the importance was given to students to do talking and very less talking by teachers.Good work at Velammal school.All parents were happy on that day.

2020 year of pandemic. It is a tough time still many converted this in to opportunities. Unfortunately this school took longer time to cope up ie., till September or October. School cut down number of teachers and they were managing with few resources but not all were best.There is one class teacher in SKG. Her name starts like this Sai aaaaaa (hope you can understand) she is absolutely unfit person for teaching profession. Unorganised, poor in time managemen‌t. Number of times feedback and complaint given still no response from management hence zero improvement from teacher. Kids are really finding it difficult in learning from her. Without teaching she will write/show some sentence and asked kids to read....Is this not absurd and unfair? Any events only few students will be called to perform..disparity been shown and there is no uniformity in encouraging children to perform. As parents we are happy to help but we need reasonable guidance to get them up to the speed...but teacher herself needs guidance in this case. Suggest management to conduct PT meeting. Remember future india depends on these kids. If we groom well in return we will get number of kalams ..please understand and help. Thanks ..Apologies I might be harsh but its bitter truth.

Am a parent of this school.Earlier my children used to study in a different school.There exams times used to be tough for me.But now I have put them in Velammal. They have a blog and exam circulars with timetable,portions etc are posted in this blog.Link is sent to parents.So touch button we get exam details.And the best thing is that the school gives few days revision and make the students thorough.As a parent this feature of Velammal makes me give 5 stars

My son and daughter study here.Is it true that they do not have seats and their admissions are over? Want to admit my sisters kids relocating from Dubai.One honest feedback is that they can change the uniform color .It is too light and gets soiled quickly.Uniform is not good.Can someone share the Principals number.I want admission for my sisters children as we want all our family kids to study in Velammal. You get every rupee worth in this school.Suggestion to the management is that they can construct one more floor and accommodate more children.They can introduce foreign languages and must have surveillance in all the nooks and corners in all floors

All good except transport. In charge of transport behaving in a rude manner. Before joining said that they will drop n pick up in front of ur house but after joining and paid fees they r insisting to pick up my kid... also non refundable. Even principal also supporting that guy... totally disappointed by their transport facilities

Discipline is the best part of Velammal. Earlier things were not that good.Now it is really good.My daughter learns to play musical instrument free of cost on Saturdays and she plays for the school band.They teach this for interested students.

Both my children study in this Velammal school.To me the best thing is the way they complete lessons for the tests,give revisions and if children do not do well in the tests,they call for remedial classes after school hours.We as parents can just leave the responsibility to the school.They take care of their studies.The school communicates on a daily basis through mail called e logs and we also get Exam circulars as printed copies with the timetable,portions and other details specified

Velammal newgen school at Medavakkam is a school which prepares my kids for the future.Today I got invitation for Science Camp.I thought it will be like Project exhibition .But to my surprise I understood students worked in teams on UN suggested topics and presented their work to parents.All students including my child spoke with clarity .Very good school in Medavakkam area.Academics is very good here.They conduct regular revision before exams and burden of teaching at home is less.Getting admission in this school to us is a prestige issue.

My daughter studies in this branch of Velammal. Good money value.You pay and get IIT coaching,Cambridge certificate,free games coaching and many co-curricular activities.Good teaching too.To me it is the best school in this locality.Their Annual days are real class and they make 95% students to participate in it.

This is about VNGSM Medavakkam.School is over crowded with 1500+ students.If your kid naturally has grasping power, that is good. No extra care to cater for different types of kids.It all depends upon your class teacher. Some are good and some are NOT.A female teacher is beating 2nd STD kids for not studying well, not doing home work etc. Even after reported to Vice Principal, she is continuing with her atrocities. So Beware!!!They collect 80K+ fees. But they dont provide water in toilets. Extremely pathetic.

2 good things about my sons school,Velammal,Medavakkam1.They send daily e mail called e log of what happens in my sons class.So helpful to revise at home2.They encourage public speaking and Radio Jockeying and have a Radio talk called Velammal students radioGood value for the fees I pay

This is the best school in this neighbourhood if you have lots of money and dont care if your child is getting any education. You can proudly say to you neighbours that your kid is studying in Velammal. Many parents are lazy and only want a school nearby - so Velammal is the obvious choice for them.

One of the worst schools ever. The staff(including the Principal & Vice Principal) have no clue how to run a school. It would take a long time to list all the negatives, so just highlighting the main ones1) Highly unprofessional & unqualified staff - Kids need to be taught by highly skilled teachers, not by hiring someone as teacher. In fact most of the moms who went to get admission for their kids, walked back with a teachers job2) High fees even compared to the best ones in Chennai. Parents are protesting against the high fees(check out the attached photo)3) No infrastructure - The school has been under construction for more than a year. Even now, they are nowhere close to completion.4) With (3), there will be workers in the school during working hours. This is a highly unsafe environment for kids until the work is completed.5) Bad culture - New gen is only there in the schools name. The staff(again including the Principal & Vice Principal) are highly conservative and narrow minded.

No play ground. Nothing available except classroom coaching. Namesake extra curricular activities. Not able to reach the school during rainy days. The road near school is full of pits and ponds.

Recently ,on 2nd February 2019,was invited to the school for Skill Expression Culmination Day of my child who is in Senior KG.They have around 10 sections in Senior KG and all the class parents had come.The students expressed what all they have learnt in the school this year.It was an amazing treat.All the students confidently recited,counted,spelled,sang,narrated stories and even did some fire free cooking in front of all the parents.I would say Velammal NewGen is the best school in Medavakkam. ALL THE PARENTS WERE OVERWHELMED TO SEE THIS AS IT WAS ALL DONE BY STUDENTS WITHOUT PREPARATION FROM THE PARENTS SIDE. Velammal is value for money

Good school with good systems, everything is done very systematically and parents are kept well informed

My kid is in JKG now, I am very upset that my kid is not taken care properly, his talent is not recognized in any ways, I think the teachers shows partiality among students, the events which they conduct is useless and not fit for the students bcoz it doesnt develop any skills, if parents teach everything in home why we need to send them to school, simply waste now I have a mindset that I need to change some other school.

My daughter studies in this school.They teach values and there is good discipline and academics.My daughter has drama in classroom program where they connect drama techniques to their Social lessons.I attended the schools theatre program recently.I get full worth for the fee I pay.Good and safe school.

I have joined my son in this school after taking advice from many of my friends. Am not at all satisfied with the school. The teachers are good, they take good care of ur kids and interact well but the school is not at all organised. No proper schedule update. They organise events. We go with high expectations but output is zero. Looked like a fish market. Not at all organised. Reason I get is, its a very good school. Since we started this branch this year... ur facing all this. I wont accept this explanation after paying 80000. We are not from the high class group but we are managing some how and paying so much fees not to get reasons and explanations like this.

The fees is too high.80k for LKG kids.Facilities not provided for the fees they have collected so far.We joined our kid in this school bcoz of the brand.but...they are not upto the mark what we expected.No education only business is going on....
