I moved to Chennai from the UK in 2016. The most important qualities in a school which I looked for is a diverse culture, with many students from all corners of the world, a calm and easy atmosphere to excel in your academics and a supportive group of faculty, who are willing to push and support you in maximizing your core-capabilities. TBISC has definitely ticked all of the above boxes and it has been a pleasure for me to be a part of this institute. 2016-2020, the moments i have spent here has left a firm imprint, which will have a lasting effect. The education and lessons gained here has nurtured a better me, ready for the foreseeable future

I have close association with this school for the past 4+ years. This school is well organized in their management, curriculum and teaching. The students learn a lot with pleasure and not with pressure. Those who study in TBISC will definitely show overall progress. Unique way of providing opportunity to expose themselves more on various activities like MUN, seminar, summit, field trips and study trips helps in buildings their confidence. Its worth paying! I wish I was a student of this school.

I used to work here and I loved every minute I spent here. A very encouraging atmosphere with an understanding management. Students from different countries and different languages provide teachers with a challenging environment to excel. Every child is special with different capabilities all to be treasured - this is my key take away while at TBISC. Anti-establishment elements make negative statements because they were not hired or lack commitment - do not believe such comments.

I joined TBISC in 2017. At that time I just finished YEAR 9 back in Bahrain and when we came to India to check for admissions most schools wouldnt want to take me in since I came in the middle of IGCSE. But then I found TBISC and they had admissions open throughout the year making it flexible for international students to join.I came in with no expectations but once I met the students, teachers and faculty I instantly felt like I was back home in Bahrain. Lots of students from different countries, cultures and backgrounds. People might think Oh, its a small school or it has few students but its an advantage since you get individual attention from teachers. My grades have improved drastically after coming here and I acquired a lot of new skills as well. TBISC was a great exposure and I would like to thank TBISC for making it a memorable one.

I have been in this school for more than 3 years working as Mathematics, ICT Teacher handling Year 9 to A Levels. We always have two teachers for each subjects. We have well qualified teachers for Physics, Chemistry & Biology. Edexcel is the best curriculum compared to other International curriculum in the world. TBISC provides customized environment to meet each student requirement and ensuring the adequate support to students. We are offering iPrimary and iSecondary curriculam for Year 6 and Year 8 grades which will help them to score higher grades in IGCSE , AS & A Levels. I strongly recommend this school for Edexcel. Every day is a learning experience. I am enjoying every day !

Akemi Hamai from JapanI have been studying in TBISC for the past 3 years. Now I have learnt English little by little and increased to speak with friends and I changed my mind to have fun. The teachers always teach me carefully. They are kind teachers who speak slowly when I cannot understand English and answer as many questions as I ask them. I am grateful to them. Thanks to TBISC !

Teachers, who wish to join this so-called International school, are asked to submit their original certificates at the time of joining. How can we expect a good education from this school i wonder? Most of the schools are like this, fear driven. Yes, I understand if the teacher leaves during the academic year, the school and students will suffer and thats the reason the management asks for certificates to get hold of the teacher. If this is schools concern, how will you achieve international standard of education (as mentioned in the schools homepage)?! If teacher feels she is part of the school and school finds her as an asset, why will she leave?

I joined TBISC in 2010 and have add an enjoyable eight years working here. The school is very strong on academics and many of my students have got 100% in the board examinations. It has good sports activities like table tennis, chess, shuttle badminton etc. In most of these sports the school has qualified coaches. In terms of extracurricular activities there is a MUN club, aeromodelling club, dance, music, art and craft and yoga and silambam. Hence the student gets a very good balanced education.

The school does not have enough teachers. Students go months without teachers for subjects like chemistry, maths and physics. They are expected to perform well in exams in these conditions. They do not provide physics, chemistry and biology laboratories for 9th, 10th and 11th grade students. These are prerequisites for any undergraduate degree. The tuition fee that they charge does not reflect the schools infrastructure. Would not recommend this school for Edexcel.

BIS is a complete waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor and never enroll here. One star for this school is actually too much. Unqualified teachers are hired cause the principal is money minded and cheap. Facilities are poor. Bathrooms are infested with bees. No toilet paper or soap.Oh wait there is soap mixed with water if you are interested. Fee structure is super high. Biggest regret in my life. Please do not enroll here.

The school has become extremely money minded, teachers are having off the charts attrition rate due to bad management. Hence students are not able to get moneys worth of education here. It is better to put your children in a different school for the sake of their future life. At times like this I wonder and curse Google why they dont have a zero star rating, it would have been totally apt for this school.

Well you might not realise this at the start but this isnt an international school. Yea Im sorry if you thought it was but its actually a bunch of posers who think they can run a SCHOOL by hiring unqualified teachers because they cant afford to pay teachers who can actually do their job. Normally I would tell you not to judge a book by its cover but if you see a Pegasus logo on a book or a school sign just turn around and leave.

I am looking out for a parent, student supportive school at ECR for my child. After thorough analysis and search I have found this school. I feel confident that my kids will grow in a well-mannered and secured environment after interacting personally with the school. One fine day morning we landed in the school for meeting the principal. After meeting her we have understood and convinced on few things. First and foremost important one is discipline. Throughout the school I have seen a kind of atmosphere like a Gurukula, which is greatly missing in the other schools. Mostly other schools are taking time to explain about fee structure but not explaining much about what they are doing! How they are adding value to the students life. Second thing is, here Education is offered as a component to achieve/attain what someone want in life. Instead of creating corporate slaves, here they are giving an opportunity for the kids to understand the kind of important elements which forms greater community (i.e. world), this in turn helps students to visualize where they wanna be in 5 or 10 years. Its eye opening. Third most important thing is small group of 7:1 student teacher ratio. (One Teacher: Seven Students). Which gives more attention to each and every student. They are giving individual attention to the children who are unable to cope up with their studies and culture. Sure this will bring joy and confidence with in my children. There is something we compromised as well, the annual fees. But we do understand this can be justified to keep well professionalized staff and good atmosphere in ECR.

We all talk about sexual harassment in work places. What we dont talk about is the mental harassment in work places. Either we are not aware of it or we choose to remain ignorant about it. You are mentally harassed when the employer tries to put you down in front of others, makes you doubt your own capabilities, hurts your self respect, irritates and insults you. You are cornered and your efficiency is questioned. This is one such workplace where you find that you are being mentally harassed everyday and you are not even aware of it. I enjoyed working with the kids, teaching them and I also got a wonderful family in the form of my colleagues but I regret every moment working under the principal of this school. We tend to err. It is human tendency. But you make a tiny mistake and the next moment you are in her room. Your capabilities are questioned. The immediate remark is you are not efficient enough. While I understand that criticism helps us grow in our work, I also believe that criticism has to be healthy. When we make mistake if our efficiency is questioned, shouldnt we be appreciated for a good work we do. Criticism has to be equal. You will get a good word or a piece of appreciation from her very rarely. This kind of puts you off and the level of excitement to go to work the next day goes down.Teachers should be respected wholeheartedly. Over here right from the admin to the accounts handling person do not treat you with the respect you deserve. Every activity of yours is watched, every word you speak with other teachers is noticed. If the student makes a mistake and the teachers by chance lose their temper and admonish the kids, next day or the very day parents make a call or pay a visit to the school to complain and you are not allowed to present your side of the story or talk to the parents. Admin deals with them and if the parents insist on speaking with the teachers then we are trained to speak with them in a polished way. You are tutored by the admin on how to deal with the students in class. If the problem escalates further instead of the student being questioned as to what did he/she do, the teacher is questioned and insulted by the principal. She wants to keep the parents and students happy because they are ones who pay fees. The biggest drawback is that the school is entirely run by the principal and she has the sole authority of taking decisions. While she wants to keep the parents happy for the fees they pay and be in the good books of the students, teachers get roasted amidst all of them and in the end lose their sanity and self respect.Inspite of all the hardships we stick around is because the certificates are taken away when you join and your hands are tied. Now I dont know if all the institutions do this but all I know is that it is a bait for the teachers to stick around for a longer period and this is illegal. No employer ever has a right over the certificates of the employee. While we all know that we have to run pillar to post to get the work done, in this school it is different. You need to run from a pillar to the principals office to get a work done. Starting from getting a stapler in the library to worksheet print outs that we teachers prepare for the benefit of our students, we need to get her permission. She comes up with ideas, assigns teachers to complete the task, literally tortures until the work is finished and sets up unimaginable and difficult deadlines, but at the end of the day she doesnt implement any of these as all the ideas that she comes up with requires her to shell out money. If parents think this school is the best for students and the worst for teachers, let me clarify. The amenities provided for the fees paid is nil. ACs dont work, classrooms are tiny, computers dont work properly, the internet is down most of the time and bathrooms are infested with lizards and insects.Having said all these, working in this school has taught me to not bow down in front of employers who do not treat you in the right way or question your efficiency.

This school has the right mix of discipline and freedom for both teachers and students. Proper guidance, immediate feedback (positive and negative), continuous training and teaching even on Saturdays to help students that need additional coaching is provided. All of us are expected to do our best - and beat our own best record. There is no room for complacency. We are constantly challenged and empowered to perform the best we can - inside and outside the classroom. In fact, after leaving this school, I have implemented what I have learnt at TBISC everyday of my life. I have become more systematic, organised, well-planned and in fact, for every 1 hour of teaching, I put in 3 to 4 hours of research - all of this learnt and developed at TBISC!Some people are not suited for this sort of an environment and then end up posting rubbish and using such forums to rant. Also, did you know that Chennai is a tropical city and the school is surrounded by plants? Its going to be difficult to kill every lizard that exists! Why not instead respect the lives of other animals? Lizards are bound to be everywhere including in your own homes!Rather than being misled by anti-institutional elements who like to make a mountain out of non-issues, why not visit the school, meet the students and teachers, and make your own decision!
